AKA is an acronym of Apotik Kali Asin (Kali Asin Pharmacy), the place where Ucok Harahap and his band AKA practiced, Ucok's parents owned the place. They put out their first album in 1971 (Do What You Like) and this album, Skyrider came out in 1973.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

TIANSHENG CHINESE AND WESTERN BIG BAND - TENDERNESS

Well, I finally, finally have another amplifier so I can record vinyl again, a Sansui Au-5900 Integrated amplifier.... Took me a bit to find out who these guys are, they are not mentioned on this album, but they put out some other records under the name Tiansheng Chinese and Western Big Band, from Hong Kong.... Some great psychedelics here and this came out in 1970..... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

KELOMPOK KAMPUNGAN - MENCARI TUHAN

Here's the cassette version from Kelompok Kampungan's 1980 album Mencari Tuhan.... I posted the vinyl version HERE this version has a few more songs.... The vinyl and cassette are extremely rare, they both start out with the song Bung Karno, about Indonesia's first president Sukarno and it uses parts of a speech he made in 1964.... The Suharto regime was not amused and ordered all copies destroyed and banned the album and banned the band from performing.... It's a fantastic album, mixing prog-rock with folk and some traditional music.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

Here's the first album from Singapore band The October Cherries, great psych rock album that came out in 1969. Some mistakes were made during production, the cover says 7 songs on each side while it's actually 6 songs on each side.... GET IT HERE Enjoy!

THE APOLLO

The Apollo was a studio band from Hong Kong in the late 60's and 70's, Oscar Young was the band leader and they recorded albums with many artists like teresa Teng and Pancy Lau and they also made loads of albums on their own, they weree quiet a cult band in Asia in the 70's and I've been told that even in Hong Kong it's really hard to find their albums now.... This one is really quiet amazing..... GET IT HERE Enjoy!
