So this was the second assignment in class where we choose a animal (My choice was fox) and just went at it. We had to do 6 or 8 illustrations -I can’t remember- in one class period. I finished early and did 10. My friends had to stop me. Not sure if I want to show the other 2 but here are 8 of them. I really like them and enjoyed doing them.

Unfortunately this year I wasn’t able to do the full 24 hours of 24 hour comic day, but in the spirit of it we did a smaller assignment, 4 pages in 4 hours, for my Comic Media and Concepts class. The comics I made over the summer for my mini-anthology Venti really prepared me for this because it helped teach me what I can do with straight black and white and how to create a finished-looking piece in a short amount of time.
This piece is really personal, I actually made this the day before my consultation for HRT, so I think my anxiety over that sort of influenced the subject. I also get asked why I picked the name Delta a lot, so I figured it would make as good a story as any for this.
Be sure to keep an eye out for this in Volume 2 of Delta Church Semi-Annual! I’m slowly but surely building up content for it, so it’s on its way!

Concept - All of the children have a plant sprouting from their heads - an indication of their mind / brain / comprehension level and growth! Done in a mid-century modern style. The words on the chalkboard are “dog” in different languages - which will relate to the second half of the project, a Hollywood Animal Trainer!

Tumblr is gonna resize this really terribly, but here’s my homework for comic media and concepts this week. The assignment was to do a 1 page comic with a minimum of 25 panels in it.
Not my favorite assignment but it has some good points. When I add a yellow background, I like it more.
