E a Secret Service/Armadillo Records seguem lançando grandes tributos. Desta vez, a lendária banda britânica Iron Maiden recebe essa justa homenagem vinda de grandes nomes da cena metálica nacional. Temos aqui, dois CDs luxuosamente embalados, 26 músicas abrangendo todas as fases da Donzela de Ferro (em especial os anos 80 que ocupam 15 faixas) e aproximadas 2 horas e 20 minutos de duração. E acreditem, não cansa! É bom demais!

A faixa de abertura a cargo dos paulistanos do Bulletback, é um dos destaques. Particularmente, tenho um carinho especial por “Where Eagles Dare” já que foi a primeira música do Maiden que escutei. Fiel à original, a banda se destacou ao executar uma das faixas mais celebradas da mais recente turnê “Legacy of the Beast”. Outro destaque ficou para o Rage In My Eyes executando “Aces High”: mais uma versão que ficou super fiel à original, com um timbres de baixo e guitarras corretos, uma interpretação vocal inspirada de Jonathas Pozo (ex-Scelerata) e que definitivamente mostram o porquê abriram o show do Iron Maiden em Porto Alegre ano passado.

Outro destaque fica para a Pastore Band fazendo um clássico lado B, “Flash of the Blade”, transformando-a num Power Metal poderoso e rasgado. “Moonchild”, interpretada pelos catarinenses do Steel Warrior, é outro grande destaque, com adição de peso e velocidade sem descaracterizar a original. Dá pra ver que a banda trabalhou bem todos os detalhes. Excelente!

O Quintessente trabalhou perfeitamente um dueto vocal para a balada “Wasting Love”, sendo esta altamente indicada aos fãs da banda, sendo este, um momento único neste tributo. “The Clansman” ficou linda na versão do Tailgunners, mais uma versão em que a banda foi o mais fiel possível à original.

No CD 2, a abertura do Hellish War ficou dentro do esperado; além do Genocidio que deu uma renovada em “Killers” dando seu toque pessoal a um dos clássicos da fase Paul Di’Anno. O Orquídea Negra acertou em cheio ao tocar “Prodigal Son”, outro lado B amado pelos fãs. Essa faixa dei um repeat nela imediatamente após o término, o vocal de André Graebin combinou perfeitamente com o original de Di’Anno e ambos cantam essa faixa em tons mais baixos. Tributo com ‘T’ maiúsculo! Bandas como Genocídio, Andralls e Encéfalo transformaram clássicos do Iron Maiden em Thrash/Death Metal com muita categoria, em especial o Andralls que fez com que uma das faixas mais Rock & Roll do Iron Maiden, “Chains of Misery”, passasse a soar um Thrash Metal pra lá de inspirado.

Algumas bandas deixaram também a sensação de que poderiam ter feito melhor, cito entre elas, Syren, Attrachta, Savagez, Headhunter DC e Ignispace, mas nada que tire o brilho e a relevância do trabalho como um todo. Um digno tributo aos fãs da Donzela de Ferro, uma capa fabulosa, arte gráfica idem, bandas de primeira, tudo o que um trabalho de primeira linha necessita. Novamente, nossos parabéns à Armadillo/Secret Service Records por reunir esse time de feras do nosso amado Metal Nacional. Que venham os próximos!
