Roman Baths

The complex of Roman public baths is located in the English city of Bath. The construction of this well-preserved building started in 1894 and was completed in 3 years. The site is visited by more than 1 million visitors a year. Visitors can see the Baths and Museum but can't enter the water.

I had a chance to visit this place about 2-3 years ago and really liked, would be happy to visit the city once more, it is a really lovely place.

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

Some time ago I saw this postcard in somebody's gallery in PC and fell in love, it's such a beautiful view! it took nearly 4 months for the card to arrive, I was worried it got lost.

Prambanan Temple

Kolejna kartka od Michael ze Starring you, ale zupełnie nie pamiętam kiedy ją dostałam, data na stemplu jest nieczytelna. Na kartce jest zdjęcie IX w. mandiru, który znajduje się się Środkowej Jawie. Świątynia ta jest największa hinduistyczną świątynią w Indonezji, należy do UNESCO. (wikipedia)

Angkor Thom

Wymiana z Arnoldem, który wysłał mi tę kartkę ze swoich wakacji w Kambodży. Jest to jedno z tych miejsc, które bardzo chciałabym kiedyś odwiedzić.

Przepiękna kartka z wymiany z Mervat, moja pierwsza z Jordanii. Petra jet historycznym miastem w południowej części kraju, miejsce jest znane z tego, że zostało wykute w skale.

Beautiful postcard received from Mervat, my 1st one from Jordan. Petra is a historical city in the southern part of  the country, it is famous for its rock-cut architecture.

I guess this is the most famous place in Peru, for sure it is my dream travel destination.

Colonial Church in Ilobasco

Thank you Francis for arranging this postcard for me, and thanks to Peter who sent it. This is another amazing postcard to my collection. Sent on April 1st, so it took roughly a month to arrive to Barbados.

The church is located in Ilobasco, a town that is known for clay craftsmanship and pottery.

Lovely birds on one of the stamps.

Ilobasco is located 48 km northwest of the capital, San Salvador.

Kantajew Temple

This beautiful postcard was sent by Sumanto from Bangladesh, it took roughly 3 weeks to arrive to Barbados. Sent along with beautiful tiger stamps.

Late-medieval Hindu temple in a Dinajpur district. The construction was started by Maharaja Pran Nath in 1704 and finished by his son Raja Ramnath in 1722. The temple was built in the navaratan (nine-spired) style, the spires were destroyed by the earthquake in 1897.

Dinajpur is a district in the North of Bangladesh, part of the Rangpur Division. The area is 3,444.30 km^2.

Sent by my French swap-friend David who's spending his holidays in The Big Apple. 

The nickname's history reaches back to the 20's of the 20th century, first popularized by a sports writer John J. Fitz Gerald.
