Apostlic Visitation of U.S. Catholic seminaries

Catholic readers may be interested to know (if they haven’t already picked up the news elsewhere) that the promised apostolic visitation of U.S. Catholic seminaries is scheduled to begin this fall. It will be coordinated by Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien of the U.S. Archdiocese for the Military Services, about whose record I know absolutely nothing.
For any non-Catholic readers who may want to know what this is about: this is where the Vatican looks at U.S. seminaries to see whether they’re properly preparing priests to be chaste and faithful to Catholic teachings.
In other news, I just found out that today is Blog Like a Conservative Day. I have been planning to spend the whole week blogging about Christian teaching on divorce, with perhaps a little time spared to blog about sacraments (you see, I haven’t forgotten about that). Is that conservative enough for you, Jesse, or should I blog like a conservative about Catholic seminaries as well? And, if I’m blogging like a conservative about Catholic seminaries, should I be a Wanderer-style conservative, or a Jack Chick-style conservative?
More seriously, I think I’ll pass on this one.
