A Card a Day book

As some of you know, Paper Crafts magazine put together a fantastic book called A Card A Day a few months ago. It is a book filled with inspiration for 365 days of the year featuring special holidays and highlighting unique days throughout the year.  In addition to being a gorgeous book it can be used as a reference and resource book too.  You'll find yourself grabbing it over and over again.  What I especially like is that there is such a range of cards, techniques and layouts.  Not to mention designers.  You'll also love the getting organized section in the back in addition to must have supplies.

I have 8 cards featured in A Card a Day and will share the one found on page 80 called "thx".  Also look for my cards on p.35, 63, 72, 85, 127, 128 and 135!

Thanks for stopping by today.  It's always nice to take a break after the craziness of release time.  I have also been working on a number of behind the scenes projects in addition to starting report cards.  Life is super busy but I wouldn't change a minute of it!

Stamp It! Cards issue

If you haven't already seen it on the stands, the new Stamp It! Cards magazine, a special edition from Paper Crafts, is now available and probably my FAVOURITE edition as of late!  I had the pleasure to participate in the "Stamp It! 3 Ways" feature using PTI's Everyday Button Bits where 3 designers were given the challenge of using the same stamp set to show you several different cards you can create using the same set (p.81).  I was featured alongside of Maren Benedict and Dawn McVey.  In addition, creative genius Erin Lincoln used my stamp set Shapes by Design to create a "Starbust" on p. 30.  I have to admit, seeing someone create a card using one of my sets and having it published is almost more exciting to me than having my own cards published LOL.  So if you ever get a card published using one of my sets PLEASE let me know which magazine/issue etc and I will happily go and buy it!

I choose the bicycle image from Everyday Button Bits and added a splash of colour.  My colour pallette was inspired from the trim at the bottom of the card in addition to the ribbon!

I bet you thought...

I didn't care about blogging anymore? Quite the opposite actually. As you read from my last post we had a lot going on. Well the past few weeks have been filled with more unpacking (helping grandma), yard work, anniversary celebrations, visits from friends and now preparation for homeschooling. I am just a few days away from doing my annual teacher training retreat too. I am going to make an effort today to get some pre-posts done while I am away including those cards I promised in early August.

In the meantime I just wanted to share a "first" for me. I am officially a cover girl :) That's my card on the front cover!!!

Make sure to follow along at Moxie Fab to get more sneak peaks of Holiday Cards and More Vol. 4 which will be available for purchase on Tuesday. On another note, a few of my cards were featured in the Sept/Oct Paper Crafts issue. You can even learn how to make one called Birthday Dots HERE.

Have a super day!

Stamp It Magazine...

Have you seen the Stamp It magazine yet???? I sound all excited right? Well the honest truth is I haven't seen it BUT I do know that I have a card in it *insert giggles*. I sent this card in last fall so it's nice to that I can finally share it with you. This is only my second publication. I have a few more coming out this year. I don't send nearly enough things in (I am sure I am not alone!)...so my goal is to change that this year...once the school year is up. Report cards are looming...

So without further ado, I present my teacher card....(I took the photo before my new photo hut)
