OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY
Absolution formed in May 2010 with the sole intention of fulfilling an obligation for a 40 minute support slot. Now, with the second studio album Dusty Road released, international sales, critical acclaim for debut effort Issues and first concert release Live From The Front along with a growing fan base, that 40 minute support slot has over-run somewhat!
With three musicians from different backgrounds and different styles, Absolution create a fresh and exciting sound. A British blues-rock power trio, they create a modern, dynamic, unique sound, with elements of early Free and Joe Bonamassa thrown in for good measure! Having already shared stage with blues legends Dr Feelgood, Danny Bryant, Larry Miller, King King; Absolution have also performed two gigs at London’s exclusive Embassy Club and the iconic 100 club! They are headlining arts centres, theatres, clubs and also managed to fit in a storming set at the British Rock & Blues festival in January 2013!
The band took home two awards at the 2013 WRC Awards - 'Ones To Watch' and 'Best Guitar Solo'.
Absolution signed to European record label Blues Boulevard Records in 2014 to release Dusty Road. The album came out in September of that year on a worldwide release. Straight away the album started selling across the globe and brought more plaudits for the band from press and fans alike!
Absolution are a fantastic live act, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every gig they play. Not only playing their own material flawlessly and with tremendous attack, they also throw in a few classics for good measure, keeping the feel of the original intact while still putting their own unique stamp on everything they play! Blues purists and music lovers everywhere have never been disappointed yet by an Absolution concert! Indeed, many fans have been heard after shows commenting that Absolution are "The best thing I've seen and heard for many years!"
