MDS Monday {Remember When}

Hey! Have you heard? There is a new challenge blog in town and this one is all about using digital scrap-booking  It is called "MDS Monday" and you are welcome to use your My Digital Studio (MDS) program from Stampin' Up or any other digital program you may have.

I saw the awesome layout and decided to play along. I love this photo of my husband with his granny. This was taken in the summer of 2005, we were at a wedding. His granny was a wonderful lady and he was close to her. I wish I had been able to get to know her more. I used some muted colours, so the photo would be more prominent. I love the new MDS 2 program!

Friday Mashup #8-Sketch and Colour Combo

This week at the Friday Mashup, Kathy has created an awesome sketch and colour combo for you to try!!  I wanted to use My Digital Studio to create a special scrapbook page for my parents.  This photo is of my mom and dad, taken in February while they were in Hawaii celebrating my mom's 60th birthday!!  On Sunday is their 40th Wedding Anniversary and my Dad's 62nd birthday!!  They were married on my dad's birthday in 1971 quite by accident, the church and hall had double-booked them for the weekend before and so May 29th was left!  So funny!!

My mom and dad are special, kind-hearted people and I am thankful everyday for their support and love!

Come on by the Friday Mashup this week and join us!  I loved playing with these colours!!!  To see the page in full size please click on it!

Stampin' Royalty ~ Scrapbook Page "Shy"

Sandra over at Stampin' Royalty has inspired me to use My Digital Studio more!  She is truly the master of it and had created some awesome pages.  Well, wanting to try it out, I have been working on creating some pages and uses sketches from my favourite challenge blogs to do so!

Here I am with the Stampin' Royalty Sketch...

I changed up the main image to be 3 images...it worked better on the 12 x 12 sheet.  Then I added an arrow at the bottom of the page instead of buttons.  My colours are Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Tempting Turquoise.

When my sister-in-law sees this I hope she will laugh!  These are some of my favourite photos!  This is of the 4 of us...one summer, not long ago.  Corey and I were just heading out of town, after a wonderful summer holiday visit and these were some of the last photos we took.  I have to say, my SIL is pretty fun and we get along too well!  She is a lot like my husband, or should I say, "He is a lot like her..."

MDS for the Stampin' 411 Challenge

I love working with My Digital Studio!  I purchased the Strength and Hope Digital set.  It is very pretty!  So tonight, I decided not to make a card but a scrapbook page instead!  I used the great sketch from the Stampin' 411 team and changed it up a bit.  The ribbon is replaced by a piece of designer paper and I didn't realize I had missed the 3 brads...that is what I get for going by memory!  I am still trying to figure out this program!

I have to say, I love that I can use this program, create a page and have no mess to clean up!! LOL!  The Strength and Hope set is to promote Breast Cancer awareness, partial proceeds go to cancer research.

Thanks for stopping by!

Colour Q-My FIRST attempt at My Digital Studio!!!

For the Colour Q Challenge this week, I decided to try a scrapbook page and I made one using My Digital Studio which is the Digital Scrapbooking Program made by Stampin' Up!  I saw the cute colours Arielle was highlighting this week and just knew a page with this little boy on it would be perfect!!!  Cole is now in Grade 1 but I love these sweet photos of him!  He is our God child and we don't get to see him nearly enough.  He is such a lovely boy.

This is my VERY first try at My Digital Studio!!  I created a 12 x 12 page!  I have to say, it is REALLY user friendly and I love that all the retired colours are there.  I had to sub in Chocolate Chip for Early Espresso and Old Olive for Pear Pizzazz.  I am so excited about this program, I think I may actually get some scrapbooking done!  Yahoo!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
