Elisabeth bell Planting some love for Southern Girls Challenge

Good afternoon! thanks for stopping by.  I have made a card for our challenge over at The Southern Girls Challenge.  This fortnight, we are asking you to button up.... use buttons on your projects somewhere.  I have used an image by the amazing Elisabeth Bell called Planting Some Love.  I bought a new die whilst on holidays in Canberra - the hearts banner by La La Lands.  I have used two buttons at the ends and I popped a little rhinestone  in the centre of each.  I also popped two little buttons at the edges of my ribbon used from my stash.  The flowers are WOC and the butterfly is one of my glittery acetate butterflies made by me :-) The DP is from a prima pad called Fairy Belle.  I dotted some liquid pearls around and splashed some stickles and dimensional magic around here and there.

so pop on over to the Southern Girls Challenge and show us all those beautiful buttons out there! Cant wait to see what you all create :-)

Elisabeth Bell Happy Mail

Last card for the night, as I am off to bed :-)  From the divine Elisabeth Bell "Happy mail".  I LOVE this image. Unfortunately, this is a Belles and Whistles stamp which has now closed store, so I am not sure if this stamp is still available under another company.  The DP is from Prima's Sunkiss collection.  I have edged the chequered paper with a Martha Stewart edging punch.  I have used spellbinders lacey circles and large circle for the image.  Flowers are WOC.  I have used some Divine twine and lace from my stash.  I found a silver key charm and bicone crystals, which I have dangled from some chain.  I also glued some crystals to some tiger wire and scattered them among the flowers.  I added some flower soft to the flowers as well as dimensional magic and stickles.

Copic colours used:
Y 00, 11, 13, 18

Elisabeth Bell for Belles and Whistles Sisters

Good evening, Thanks for stopping by.  I got another parcel from teh Belles and Whistles closing down sale, so sorry, but you're going to get bombarded with these gorgeous images!  This one is called Sisters.  I think I need to add some bling to the top right corner, I need to sleep on the idea LOL!! Lots of pink going on here for the Copic Oz challenge... enter now because they will donate $5 for every card entry to the McGrath foundation how generous is that!!!!! I also decided for a change to do an easel card, thinking a twist easel card would be something a little different.... that's what I love about Challenge blogs... its not the prizes so much, but they make me do something I wouldn't ordinarily do or use colours I wouldn't ordinarily use.... only to find out that I LOVE the end result and find myself using those techniques more often than not :-)

Onto the card.... Papers are from Prima pad called Rondelle (my fav!!) I have cut the image using circle spellbinder and matted that with the scalloped circle nestie.  I have used flowers from WOC.  ribbon and lace from stash.  Stitching is by hand using DMC cross stitching thread.  I have made my own hat pin (metal for CRAFT challenge) and made those cute little rhinestone/pearl sprays..... I simply cut bits of fishing line glued rhinestones/pearls on to the line (with super tacky glue) and clipped the two ends together with a silver crimp (left over from my jewellery making days..... you could also use tiger wire to the same effect).  Here is a close up picture of the sprays:

I would like to enter in to the folowing challenges:
Copic Oz: Pink
C.R.A.F.T Challenge: Use metal on your card
Anything Goes Challenge: Make your own embellishment

I've been asked to list the colours I use...so here goes...

(I use the tip to tip technique to blend colours... using the lighter colour to touch the darker colour, then colour with the lighter pen... I also dont recap while I am colouring.... I hold the group of pens I am using at the time in my left hand, colouring with my right, so the ink on the paper doesn't dry out too quickly... something Suzanne Dean taught me watching her you tube videos)

Skin: YR0000, E00, YR01 (cheeks) and R20 (blush)
Pinks: RV34 and RV81
 Blues: BG0000, BG01, BG05 and B000 (for the outside of the image-shading)
Grass: G05, G08 and G82
Bangles: Y18
Oranges: YR00, YR12 and YR15
Hair: E33, E40, E50 and E57
I also use N0 to darken my creases on the pants and tops

Thanks for stopping by, cant wait to hear what you all think about my card. Stay Safe XOX Tania

Elisabeth Bell Lilypad Dreams

Hello!! another card for tonight.. I'm on a roll... and there are some challenges that will finish during the night here in Oz.  So thought I should get my skates on!!! This little cutie is from Belles and Whistles, whose store unfortunately is closing down but now have 50% off the remaining stamps.. so check it out!! This little one is called lilypad dreams and is still available! she is simply adorable!  I have cased a sketch by Patricia over at Creative Inspirations.  Papers I have used are: Hippity Hoppity (Easter things) and  Baby Mine (sugar and spice) by We are Memory Keepers and Lemon Breeze (vanilla sunshine collection) by Sei paper. Over at the Ribbon Girls, their challenge is orange, a colur I dont often use, so it sure was a challenge... even to the point that I had to go and buy orange copics!!!, I like the end result :0). I coloured the lace with my copic marker, and the black lace edge is icut using my Martha Stewart edge punch called doily lace... I snipped each scallop and then the centre of each scallop, before twisting around my alligator tweezers.... I like the 3D effect it gives. Flowers are WOC (I coloured up white flowers yellow  and orange with glimmer mist), three pearls and three rhinestones from stash to meet the challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges who are celebrating their third birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I would like to enter in to the following challenges:
Creative Craft Challenges: 3 (3 pearls and 3 rhinestones)
Creative Inspirations: I have Cased Patricias layout
Crafts and Me: Pearls and Lace
Craft you Passion: Fairies and Fantasy

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by. Stay Safe XOX Tania

Elisabeth Bell "wishes" birthday card

Hello! Another of my new Elisabeth Bell images called Wishes.  I have coloured her up with copics.  The banners are from Whimsy Stamps called celebration circle pennants.  You can buy the dies to cut them out and layer them with frilly bases, but my bank account was looking a bit drab LOL! SO.. I used my spellbinder circle cutter and the smallest of the spellbinder lacey circles for the base.... works for me :0)  my ribbon is from my stash, as is the ribbon slider (I got these in a big lot and sell them at the markets (when I go) for 75c each- I also have the circle diamonte sliders too).  I am trying to get enough stuff collected to open an internet store and try and sell things as cheap as I can :0)  The moonstone brads are WOC I got last year (I bought something like ten jars in one hit to save on postage... but am working my way through them).  The flowers are also WOC, but I didnt have purple ones, so I spritzed my beige ones with glimmer mist, dabbing a darker purple on the edges.

HINT.... I tend to buy white or cream flowers so I can colour match them to my theme and it limits the amount of space I need with different colours of flowers. I do whole colours by misting them with glimmer mist, but if you just want to highlight the edges of your flowers, spritz with a clear glimmer mist like marshmallow or pearl.... then rather than misting the darker colour, remove the lid and using the straw (that connects to the lid part), dab ever so lightly onto the edges of your flowers... by moistening the flowers with the clear mist first, that allows the darker colour to kind of wick up the flower petal adding a realistic touch :0)

The papers are from my scrap box and are both Magnolia.

I would like to enter in the following challenges:
Delicious Doodles: celebration (Birthday)
Dream Valley Challenge: Something Old (flowers, ribbon, paper) Something New (image & banner stamps)
Fairy-tale Challenge: Metal (ribbon slider)

Elisabeth Bell.... Sunshine and Apples

Hi again!  Well here in Brisbane, things are hotting up as we fast approach summer. I thought I would try some bright colours, something I tend to avoid with my cards, I usually go with pinks and purples. So, this card is made using another Elisabeth Bell image this one is called Sunshine and Apples.  I made this card using yellow bazzil, and one piece of DP.  It is called Watermelon Hopscotch by Little Yellow Bicycle.  It is double sided and has a perfct summer feel :0)

The butterfly punch I got from The Warehouse (cheap shop here in Brissy) the rhinestones and flower are from my stash.

Elisabeth Bell Pretty in patches

WOW... I'm on fire today LOL!! (Truth be known- I have been colouring these cuties up all week, and have just sat down today and made them up hehe).  ANOTHER adorable image from Elisabeth Bell called Pretty in Patches.  I am the type of person to buy something and use it straight away- so many of my friends buy things and have never used them... not me... I HAVE to use it...and straight away!  There is not a stamp in my craft room that hasn't been inked, nor a die that hasnt been run through my big shot!! Paper.. well thats a different thing- I buy it when its on sale thinking- I'll add it to my stash and use it for something LOL!! I must get value for my money :0)

Anyway onto the card.  Papers I have used are: Enchanted Fairy Trails by Imaginisce and Love Struck (pad) by We are Memory Keepers.  Flowers are WOC, butterfly is cut with a My Favorite Things die, Spellbinders Lacey circles and large circle die, some rhinestones from stash.  Ribbon slider, and ribbon. Butterfly charm from a cheap kids necklace from Target.  The sentiment is my brand newbie I got today from Penny Black called "Perfect Gift" (on the stamp it's name is Perfet Gift, but I think this is a spelling error) Its number is 4179J if you're interested.

These are the following challenges I would like to enter:
I have cased Shell's card over at Creative Inspirations for their case it challenge.
Papertake weekly: Anything goes

Elisabeth Bell Cupcake

Hello! Long time no see!!! I have been super busy just with life, nothing really exciting happening, I just haven't had time to craft.  So today I locked myself in my craft room and whipped up this card :0).  It is sad news that the Belles and Whistles stamp store is closing :0(  They are selling off what is left of their stamps at 35% off... so I HAD to go shopping lol!!!  This cutie is called "cupcake".  Of course by the divine Elisabeth Bell, luckily, Elisabeth designs for other companies like Whimsy.   So I guess, one's loss is anothers gain... go get yourself a bargain!.  I have coloured her with copics, and used paper from my prima pad called "sun kiss"  and the circle paper is really glittery- not picked up well by my camera.  It is from My Mind's Eye called "Portobella Road- buddies". The sentiment is from a clear Kaiser Craft set.

I have used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima.  I flattened out a metal bead cap and pushed a moonstone brad through it.  the flourish is from My Favourite things die.

I made this little dangle angel from beads and crystals.

The middle of the card finished like the front :0)

OK... so .... I bought this card stander (below) on the internet thanks to a friend sharing the link.  I have been searching forever for one of these- I didnt know what they were called..... WELL they are an Illuma-Lid candle accessory.  I couldnt resist and bought two one for me, one for my blog :0)

SOOOOO.... when I get to 50 followers, I have been gathering some candy and will be adding one of these to the pack!  spread the word, when I get to 50, I will put up some pics of the candy :0)

If you cant wait til I get 50 followers (it may be a while lol!!!) this is the link to where I got mine from.... For Ausie buyers, I recieved it in two days of purchase- so I can recommend their service!!

belles and whistles gingerbread love

good afternoon. Today I have done a card with a gorgeous image from Belles n Whistles. I have "altered" it A LITTLE!!!. It is called "gingerbread Love"....minus the gingerbreads for Valentines day :0) Hope you like it. I am going to enter this one in the February's Belles n Whistles challenge "Alter It". Scrapbooking allsorts is where I bought this partticular stamp which is Australian based supplier. I have also bought these gorgeous stamps from the Belles n Whistles store - their international shipping is also reasonably priced which helps too :0) the ribbon is from craft queen and the flowers are fromm my LSS and wild orchid crafts. The red embossed card is SOOOOO old- just some off cuts that I've kept (I have boxes of off cuts- you just never know when you'll need them LOL!!) The rhinestone swirl- I peirce the holes as a guide, then indiviually glue anita's 2mm rhinestones on- takes a long time, but boy the result is worth the effort and much cheaper than buying them pre made!- you can do this yourself by drawing swirls onto acetate with a permanent marker (I use slick markers) then with a large needle/pin punch holes through the acetate evenly spaced, and viola! this is your template- use a fine tip pen to mark through each pin hole and then dot glue over the marks and adhere the rhinestone..easy a pie! inside hearts cut with spellbinder.

Prisma colours: light peach, peach, peach nectar, rosy beige, blush pink, pink, mediterranean blue, denim blue, blue slate, true blue, jasmine, light umber, dark umber, scarlet red, carmine red, and marine green. Derwent pencil: copper beech.

I just love these new stamps from Belles and Whistles. You can get them here . This one is "gingerbread love" and is sooo cute!!! I used Memento ink in tuxedo black for most of my stamping. I have added ultra fine flower soft in Strawberry to the girls jumper and Irish green sparkly fluff to the boys shirt. As with all my cards, I have added stickles- this one is the star dust colour. also added some dimension magic, blue organza ribbon and white signo pigment ink for the stitching. Spellbinders lacey circles.
