Tonight I declare a 'date night'. (Although, hopefully nothing like the movie ;))
I could go out with my little hottie about every night of my life. I don't really care what we do (although, I do like to get out of the house) I just like to be with him.
We normally go to eat. I always try to talk him into Mexican food (and I normally win ;) but he's just sweet like that). Otherwise, it's Italian or on a rare whim, Chinese. Then we tend to gravitate towards Target, for diapers or something that we need for the kiddos, or Barnes and Noble, where we go our own ways. I normally walk around aimlessly until I find something interesting and he heads straight for the magazines where he looks at car magazines or some techie magazine.
Once in a great while we go to a movie instead of hitting up any stores. And in the summer we do more outdoorsy activities, which I LOVE. I love when we have the chance to just go on a walk or hang out outside and then pick up some ice cream or something later. Doesn't that sound great right now?!
Sometimes we throw all caution to the wind and just do something totally different. Actually, the hubs is really creative and knows that I like doing totally spontaneous things so he does a great job at coming up with fun and inexpensive date night ideas.
So, tonight I declare a date night. I can't wait! So, tell me, what do you like to do on your date nights?
Have fun. I'm itchin' for date night myself. I want to see the new Matt Damon movie. You'll have to let me know if you see that one.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! We rarely ever have specified date nights, but we love trying new restaurants, so we go out usually once or twice a week. Mostly we just stay at home, hang out with our cat and watch tv.
ReplyDeleteDate nights are so important! Share some of those fun inexpensive spontaneous date night ideas! I feel like I'm in a creative date night idea drought! :) I hope your night was perfect
ReplyDeleteOur date night was spent feeling miserable from opposite ends of the couch for our thirty or fortieth cold of the season. UGH! We did each have a bowl of cereal, which was pretty rad. And we watched The Women Tell All, which is always HIGH drama. :) What did you cats do?
ReplyDeleteI love Date Night! This week the hubby hooked me up with tickets to a Queen tribute concert so I'm PUMPED for our Friday night:) But on the regular, discount sushi nights at our favorite spot and time spent in Borders is a hopping good time for us. Glad you set aside time for you and your man:)
ReplyDeleteHope you two had a sweet night together! I love date night, but am working on building our babysitter repertoire so we can make it happen more often. :) After I got to see you Saturday, I told G "I always enjoy when I get to be with B." Which reminded me about your blog, so I looked you up. Now we can stay more connected with you all. You have a real special family!
ReplyDeleteLOVE Date Nights, Anytime there is uninterrupted K&K time I enjoy it. Dinner is always enjoyable, eating calmly, and talking again,....uniterrupted and calmly. I also enjoy a bit of roaming aimlessly, simple joys with the hubby....Good times! I also enjoy a K&K vacation....Love those special moments of beach time!
ReplyDeleteYour dates nights sound identical to ours... right down to Target and BArnes and Noble... including the techy mags... ha ha!! and in warmer weather we end up outside... with our cameras! =) I think I need to declare a date night soon... I just wish it could be on a warm beach... **sigh** ... dreamer I am!! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteFUN! We are movie and dinner kindof people. We seriously need to go on more, too!
