Showing posts with the label peg

It's Granny!

Here is my monthly foray in to not-white-background scrapbooking!! I used one of the solid colour cardstocks from my like for ever kit.  The title is the message that came through with the photo message... gotta love that boy! I dug around in my stash and added a few stickers from a previous kit.  The rest is from August's like for ever kit. I struggle with these big words so I was very pleased to find the 'fabulous' fitted in, tucked slightly underneath photo. I altered the plain white peg from the Cocoa Vanilla bits and pieces pack.  I just used my black pen to add the same pattern that the title alphas have.

Scrappy Skippings

Hello everyone and welcome to this month's blog hop, aka SpiegelMom's Skippings!   Today is extra special because SpiegelMom Scraps is not only revealing the fabulous new sequin mixes for this quarter, but she's also welcoming this month's Guest Designer, Khristina Sorge.  (I follow her wonderful layouts on Facebook and Instagram and I suspect we are in for some crackers!) We are super excited to have her designing with us this month so watch for her first blog post next week! For today's blog hop you should have arrived here from Katty .  Fabulous as always!  For today's project I had slight trouble... my new sequins are somewhere between here and America - probably sat in Customs.  But not wanting to miss out I have a layout and process video using Spring Blooms Sequin Mix which is still available in the SpiegelMom shop. I've used my like for ever kit and added in a length of lace from Crafty Ribbons, Spring Blooms, a doily ...

#showthelove

For Valentine's I have made a green heart.  You can read all about the campaign here . I just gathered a few bits'n'bobs, popped the telly on and played! I used these supplies; Pegs , Felt Hearts , Love Beats sequin mix from SpiegelMom Scraps .  3mm grosgrain in light silver and forest , bling edge satin 3mm from Crafty Ribbons .

A RAK for SpiegelMom Scraps

I was sharing my first regular post for SpiegelMom Scraps this weekend... I had a RAK to send and wanted to something more than just bung it in an envelope, so I gathered some supplies. I prettied up a plain tag with some texture paste from Shimmerz and a stencil.  I applied the paste quite thick and whilst it was still wet pushed some sequins in to it.  As it dries it acts as a glue and holds the sequins in place. I needed some way to attach the label to the parcel so I used a teeny tiny peg .  I'm quite taken with these, so be prepared to see them popping up in a few projects! I have used: sequins , Dazzlerz in Pucker Up Pink , a doily , a tag and some twine all from the SpiegelMom Scraps shop .  If you need to stock up you can enter Laura15 at the checkout for a 15% discount. Thanks for stopping by!

Tis the season...

I've been playing with my like for ever kit and preparing for Christmas at the same time - result!  I love wrapping presents at any time of year but I always go a bit crazy at December... here are some of the presents I have wrapped so far... The first one uses a few pieces of ephemera from the like for ever Wish List kit, a Pink Paislee paperclip, a Cocoa Vanilla bow and a peg covered with patterned paper. Again this one uses a peg covered with patterned paper, plus some Crafty Ribbons lace , Wish List goodies and a few bits dug out from my Christmas stash.  I'd like to enter this at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge For this one I've grouped some ephemera from Wish List, tied with some 3mm ribbon and stuck to the parcel with a Cocoa Vanilla bow.  I'm entering this at Avenue 613. For this I've used a strip of patterned paper around the present, a few lovely ribbons and a couple of ephemera pieces from Wish List . This one was just ...

Christmas Card Hanger

It's beginning to look a little like Christmas... and you might start receiving cards in the post.  I like to peg mine to my ribbon card holder. To make this I have used hanging baubles from Crafty Ribbons feature range Christmas Charm .  I've added a few bells , some 3mm grosgrain and some mini pegs. It will be hung on my door ready for cards, and every time someone walks past quickly and creates a little breeze, or brushes their arm against it is they walk past, I'll hear a little jingle - it'll make me smile every time!!

Reindeer Tag for Crafty Ribbons

It is challenge tome at Crafty Ribbons Challenges .  We are continuing with our twelve weeks of Christmas and this weeks challenge is to use a reindeer as well as ribbon on your project. I whipped up a tag to be pegged to the top of a gift bag.  I don't like to seal them with tape as it makes it harder to re use the bags, but I also don't like peeping before the big day!! The mdf reindeer is from That Craft Place, the label is from Evalicious, and ribbon and bells from Crafty Ribbons. I've used Christmas charm ribbon and some 3mm grosgrain .  Did you know Crafty Ribbons sells bells too?  You'll find them here .  Or pop along to the SECC craft show between today and Sunday and visit the stall to stock up! Not strictly related but with products from the same companies, here is a super clean simple Christmas card! Thanks for stopping by!

Congratulations

A card to share today... I have added a strip of congratulations ribbon from Crafty Ribbons to a card blank.  Next I assembled the bits in my peg - a sheer bow, a wood tag hanging on 3mm with a diamante bow .  The I pegged the to the congratulations ribbon. Clean and simple and cute!! Thanks for stopping by!

1st TEETH

Here is my first layout with my January Counterfeit Kit .  I've got to say, I love it!  There is no light here at all, it's so dull and dreary, so the photos are not the best.  I need some low light photography tips!! It's so simple and sparse but still has enough to excite my eyes.  I've used a good amount of stickers - big tick! The clouds and heart are from Things That Shine and the seam binding is from Crafty Ribbons .  (Crafty Ribbons are having a design team call - if you love working with ribbons please drop us a line.  All the details can be found here!) These butterfly stickers have been in my stash for years.  I remember buying them at The Craft Barn but can't work out exactly which year.  They have to be more than 10 years old.  Only two left now.  That makes me happy!! Thanks for stopping by!

Be Well Sweet B

'Nother layout from my Counterfeit Kit...  I think because I am still stuck on clean and simple the kit is stretching much farther than I thought.  I vowed to use all the paper and most of the stickers.  I didn't realise that I'm not too good with stickers!  I made extra effort on this one... Sticker and ribbon in the top corner. Six stickers in a cluster with thread and a peg. A couple more stickers, more ribbon and an acetate heart. All together... Thanks for stopping by!

2 & 3 - Hello & Perfect

I'm back with layouts two and three from my counterfeit kit for July.  (Just realised I didn't give it a name... doh!)  I have really enjoyed my scrapping over the last week or so - I'm in a happy place with scrapping. Hello, You Are Adorable I was looking through a huge bundle of PL type cards and die cuts wondering how I was going to use them all.  I pulled out a few, and from there came up with this layout. I do love those glittered thickers! It was all looking a bit flat so I grabbed some white tissue paper that something had been wrapped in (I could say at this point that it pays to be untidy!!) and double or triple layered everything. With the white I don't think the red background is too overpowering. Perfect Just the Way You Are My title comes from a sticker.  I will make a dent in the sticker stash this month!  I clustered another die cut with a wood veneer, some buttons and enamel dots.  I added the only fancy pin I ...
