6th album by Napalm Death and possibly the most overlooked and underrated album of the band. It still has the trademark Napalm Death sound, but it’s more accessible and catchy. There’s still plenty of brutality on the album, but all-in-all it was an experimental record. An adventurous album indeed!

The guitar work on this disc is excellent with some very nice leads with both guitarists trading off some very nice licks. The production is solid but not overdone which adds to the old-schoolness of the record.

Debut album by Sanity's Rage. If only i've listened to it earlier, it would have climbed up to my top thrash albums of 2012. Very nice slightly melodic thrashy riffs with understandable heavy shouted vocals on top. Virile guitar work, pounding and expertly handled drums and a singer that is also definately leaving his mark. Their songwriting is pretty amazing for a debut and they have all the ingredients of a promising group.

10. Painful Discharge
11. Beyond And Back

Debut album by Necrophagia, one of the oldest death metal bands (created in 1983) and the first using gore lyrics. Groundbreaking in many ways, these guys laid down the foundations for many death metal bands to come. After this release the band split up and reunited later with the 'help' of Phil Anselmo.

4th album by Anthrax. Mixing the melodic approach of 'Spreading The Disease' and the thrashiness of 'Among The Living', this release perfected the creative and original direction that Anthrax had been developing. Often criticised as Anthrax's weakest album and that's why the band step down to simpler riffs and song structures that put a few people off.

3rd album by Malice, 25 years after their last one! Even though this is a new full length album there is only four newly written songs on this album (tracks 1, 4, 8, 11). The rest of the material is re-recordings of old songs with the current lineup, that features the mighty James Rivera (Helstar, etc.) behind the mic. The whole result is really promising but not groundbreaking.
