Inn Ste Gemme Copper

This Inn Ste Gemme copper piece is coming to Music Art Love this week - along with a few others!  This gallery is the first to carry my metal pieces, so I hope you'll stop in to see their new space on a Main Street!   My new collection focuses on the wonderful historic architecture in Sainte Genevieve, and it is super fun to work in metal!  Artwork number 3724 in 3724 days.

Lakeside Bandstand

SOLD

I returned in the morning to finish what I started at sunset.  The golden hour was gorgeous, and after a quick run I started painting this lovely scene, with light pouring in from the west.  I had not yet finished all my ink work when it was too dark to work.  With a few touches, this one was finished - and this painting has a new home, too! Painting number 4283 in 4283 days.

Irishman Covered Bridge

I just can't drive close to a covered bridge without painting it, so I headed over when I got the chance! The Irishman covered bridge connects the pioneer village to Fowler Park, and is well maintained.  Many were enjoying this place, visiting, fishing, walking and camping - much more activity than during Covid.  Mom and I first visited here while dropping artwork off at galleries two years ago.  With only a little time, I painted small and then took a speed walk on the path through the cottage. I found several places that would make perfect paintings, but alas, I'm out of time. LOVE painting the covered bridges of Indiana!!

Christmas Balls

Tonight finds me hard at work on Christmas Card Art!  The days have been so nice that I've spent the daylight hours on outdoor projects - leaving the wee hours for painting! I picked up these vintage ornaments when holiday shopping with my mom, for the purpose of painting them. I like to hand make my cards, so they take a bit of time, and then I like to write individual notes in each one - which takes even more time. My goal for tonight was 10 cards finished and stamped - and I've gotten through 12 - so that's a win!  Nothing makes me work harder than a challenge, even with myself, lol!  Painting number 3247 in 3247 days.
