Timothy Bretl

Tim received his B.S. in Engineering and B.A. in Mathematics from Swarthmore College in 1999, and his M.S. in 2000 and Ph.D. in 2005 both in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. Subsequently, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, also at Stanford University. Since 2006, he has been with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is an Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering and a Research Associate Professor in the Coordinated Science Laboratory. He received the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award in 2010.

Hameed Abdul-Rashid

Hameed received his B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Southern Mississippi in 2019. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Hameed has received the Golub CS Fellowship.

Su-yeon choi

Su Yeon received her B.S. in Mathematics at Korea Military Academy and her M.S. in Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has been serving in the Republic of Korea Army since 2010. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Holly Dinkel

Holly received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering and B.A. in Music at the University of Missouri in 2017 and her M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she is a NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunity Fellow studying robotic perception and manipulation of deformable linear objects.

jongwon lee

Jongwon received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) with summa cum laude. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His current research interest is tackling various challenges in mobile robotics and robotic perception at the intersection of conventional and learning-based approaches.
