It's time again for a new Fusion Card Challenge and this time, I went with a very clean and simple design! I loosely used the sketch format but primarily was inspired by the photo. I went with an older digi image from A Day With Daisies called "On Top of the World". I colored with Copics then fussy cut. The background was water colored using two different greens from my Pelikan paints.
STAMPS: On Top of the World (A Day With Daisies); Simple Strips: Friendship (Taylored Expressions).
DIES: Blueprint 27 and Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Simple Strips (Taylored Expressions).
COPICS: Y15, Y19, Y38, E31, E35, E57 (flower); YG11, YG13, YG17 (leaves); YR15, YR68, BG11, BG32, BG34 (snail).
We'd love to have you play along with us! Remember, you have two weeks since this challenge runs every other week!

It's sketch week at The Paper Players challenge blog! I've got a ton of male birthdays coming up in June, so this was a perfect layout to use a fave masculine set (Geared Up Garage) by Stampin' Up. The car image is so much fun to add some detailing aka Glossy Accents to the headlights and windows and some Clear Star Gelly Roll (Sakura) pen to the hubcaps. They have a silver glittery sheen that doesn't show up well in the photo.
To get a crisp black sentiment, I used my MISTI and stamped it three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The gear dies were cut from a shiny metal cardstock. Patterned paper is Classic Garage 6x6 pack by SU and love that there are patterns on both sides which give you so many more options! I popped the car up on foam tape.
COPICS: R14, R46, R59, C00, C0, C1, C3.

...is the name of this sweet digi image from A Day For Daisies!
I'm playing with A Day For Daisies Challenge #131 and The Paper Players Sketch Challenge using their awesome layout! I was inspired by the gradient coloring in the cake when I chose the designer paper for my card base layer. The colors, as well as the gold accents in the inspiration photo, were also what inspired me in my card creation. I smooshed some Dusty Concord distess ink on watercolor CS then die cut with a stitched rectangle die by Lil' Inker Designs. The sentiment - small hello die by Simon Says Stamp - was cut twice from metallic gold CS.
This little snail is truly feeling like he's on top of the world and it makes me smile every time I see this sweet image! After coloring with Copics, I fussy cut and topped it off with a heart button from SU's Sweet Dreams designer button pack.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey, hey, hey...you know what day it is? It's Color Throwdown challenge day and you're going to LOVE the fabulous colors that Tammy has chosen for us! I went to my overflowing scrap paper pile and pulled out some blues and layered up a pair of stitched flags on a stitched rounded rectangle layer - two new (to me) Die-Namics from MFT! The stitched circles are by Lil' Inker designs in Chocolate Chip and white.
The digi image is one of my faves from A Day For Daisies -
called On Top of the World. I printed it on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics. I recently bought the Hex Chart created by Sandy Allnock and wowzers...what a huge help in picking out Copic colors!! It shows you visually similar colors adjacent to each other instead of the numerically similar colors. It took me awhile to color it in, but it's SO worth it! Best $4.00 you'll ever spend if you like to color with Copics!
Back to my card...I applied some Glass Bead Glitter gel by Faber Castell to the blue base using Simon Says Stamp's Circle Dots stencil. It adds such a fun and subtle hint of shine and sparkle! I fussy cut the digi image and adhered with Tombo Multi Mono liquid glue ~ an adhesive that stays out on my desk next to my glue gun all the time. The sentiment is from SSS Circle Sayings stamp set.
Congratulations go out to Claire from I Made This - My World of Craft who is our guest star stamper this week!

This digi image by A Day For Daisies brings back wonderful memories of a fun weekend in April when a number of the Color Throwdown gals got together at Bar's house. One of our goals that w/e was to play with Copics as well as to share refills with the group. Broni brought a variety of ADFD digi images and I immediately loved this Daisies Window image! When I saw that today's CAS Challenge on SCS was coloring, I knew it was high time to put it to good use. The sentiment is from Altenew's Label Love stamp set. Easy peasy!
