‘The Nail Show’ which takes place on Saturday 18^th August, 11-6pm at Cargo, London, EC2A 3AY and is an exciting event in the beauty industry. It is a chance for the nail obsessed, polish lovers, those who enjoy taking care of – or simply having fun with – their nails, as well as individuals who are interested in learning new ways to take care of their nails. This will be an event not to be missed!

A highly visual, interactive and entertaining event, visitors of the nail show can enjoy FREE nail art, workshops, amazing prize giveaways, FREE Polish swaps stand (bring unused and unwanted nail polishes to exchange for one you like), buy exciting nail products and have their nails done with a variety of the hottest nail trends, watch some of the UKS hottest unsigned acts and leave with a Complimentary Nail Show goodie bag.

This 1-day event will showcase nail professionals and their brands, whilst giving them the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and businesses as well as connect with the general public and nails enthusiasts alike.  The LIVE Express Nail Art Competition takes place at 4pm and should not be missed! Watch nail artists whip up creative nail art work piece live under the pressure of a stopwatch ! With guest interaction the audience will vote for their favourite design to determine a winner who will be awarded a trophy and prize presented by The Nail Show surprise guest.

Elemis Freshskin Coming to Superdrugs

Hello Everyone

Hope your all well. I've had an amazing day today, as I attended Superdrug's Summer Launch Event held at the Haymarket hotel. Some great things are arriving at Superdrug in the Spring/Summer.

Elemis is launching a range in Superdrugs! I was so excited to see their new range. The Elemis Freshskin range will consist of 10 new products aimed 'for young skin with a bright future' Products will range between £8.00-£22.00 in price. Elemis aims to have these in-store from 30th March. I got to try out a few of their products, the lip balm was divine, very fresh with hints of peppermint oil and passionflower. 

Heard also today that Superdrug in partnership with Pro Skin will be opening two skincare clinic within their stores (Kensington and Oxford Street, London). These clinics will be offering skin care treatments including laser hair removal, microdermabrashion, peels, facials and cellulite treatment. I was offered to try some of the treatments, although I would have felt a bit silly having a facial while everyone watches! 

Other products I got to try was Glam Republic's Illusion Eyes, an eyeline applique (basically stick on eyeliner), and We Are Faux False Eyelash range (These rocked, some amazing designs). My day wouldn't have been complete without sussing out some nail polish. Highlight of the day? Getting to meet Andrea Fulerton in person!. Had a quick chat (as you do) about Flakie nail polishes and the difficulties in source the materials in the UK due to licensing. Andrea also has a new range coming out for the spring, a range of 6 pastel shades, which I never got the chance to photograph, although there is a lovely coral creme called Debbie and a nude shimmer called Mathew. I also tried out a lilac creme called Emma. 

Fashionista Merged Bronzers (available May)

Some Gosh new nail colours, not sure when these are available? I did ask what happened to the Winter collection including the shade Mystical, but no one appears to know if the winter collection was released or not. It is a mystery?

Accesorize Spirng Collection (available now). Didn't get all the names, although the terracotta colour is called Nevada which had a copper shimmer to it (one to look for). One of the others is called Wyoming but can't remember which one?! Argh I'm terrible at this press lark.

MUA BB Foundation (Available March)

There are loads of other products hitting the shelves in the Spring/Summer including BeautyUk's 'Posh Polish' collections, a Olympic Foil Collection (3 shades Gold, Silver and Bronze) and the Gemstone Collection 6 Shades (Amethyst, Sunstone, Topaz, Silmari, Elfstone and Moostone). These should be available from 14th March. 

So anyone excited about some of the products featured?

Cocktails, Cupcakes and Painted Nails @ Illamasqua

Hello Everyone

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a 'Cocktails and Painted Nails' event at Illamasqua's Beak Street store which was in association with Omoge.

(I never got either of these ladies names! Sorry, so rubbish!)

Not only was I treated to try out some of Illamasqua's amazing products, I also got my make up and nails done while sipping Champagne. 

One of the fabulous cupcakes, chocolate fudge with lemon cream cheese frosting, yum. 

I had a great day visiting Illamasqua, and I recommend popping in the Beak Street store whenever your visiting the Regent street/Canarby Street area.  I also got to meet with some fellow bloggers and I met the wonderful Clare @ CclareBear.com and Gemma @ Gemsies.blogspot.com. As you all know I'm relatively new to the blogging scene so meeting other bloggers was my highlight of the evening. 

My visit wouldn't have been complete without purchasing some polish. I picked up three bottles, I wanted like 10!!  I got Baptiste, Taint....And Raindrops!!! woo
