China Glaze Wicked Collection 2012 - Glitter Goblin

Hello folks,

I have one of China Glazes new Halloween polishes to show you today, part of the Wicked Collection. I don't have lots of glitters in my collection as I find them a bit of a chore to wear, removal always seems to be a hassle. I'm a sucker for Halloween collections so I got over my glitter snobbery for this collection :-) This is Glitter Goblin.

This is two coats of Glitter Goblin over Misa's Bourbon on the Rocks. Glitter goblin is a glitter polish (obviously) containing brown, orange and holographic particles in a clear base. I haven't used a topcoat in these shots but I suspect these would have looked much better if I had. I picked my bottle up at Olympia Beauty but I think these are widely available now.

What do you think? Like or loath glitters?

Hello Everyone,

Hope you've all had an amazing weekend. Today I have a stunning polish to show you all. If you have not seen swatches of this already where have you been! Ninja Polish, who retails imported polishes have a few shades of their own, this is one of them, Color Changing Garnet

This is one coat of Color Changing Garnet over W7 Black. Its a duochrome/multichrome glitter which flashes from red/gold/orange/green. It's pretty amazing, good coverage in one coat. I got so many compliments wearing this. I also go Alexandrite which looks stunning on. Available from Ninja Polish for $11. It's currently out of stock but you can sign up for alerts for when its available.

Thanks for reading as always!

BEAUTYUK ADDS A TOUCH OF GLITTER

National fashion cosmetics brand, beautyuk, has launched its brand new collection of glitter nail polishes under its posh polish range.

The collection consists of nine high coverage glitters. Each of the nail polishes is intense in colour and contains a higher volume of particles than the average glitter polish.

They are now available online at www.beautyukcosmetics.com and in Superdrug stores.

The posh polish range epitomises the brand’s drive to offer outstanding quality at high street prices. The new packaging elegantly combines designer chic with a modern twist.

Individual bottles from both collections are available at £3.49 each.

H and M - From Warsaw With Love

Hellooo

I think I may be broke come Christmas, have you seen some of the fab collections coming out? With A England's Gothic Collection and Glitter Gal's new holos and without all the new indie brand releases like Ninja Polish, I'm going to be seriously poor. Well while your all feeling sorry for me, here is another polish I picked up on my H and M splurge. This is From Warsaw With Love.

Flash

This is 3 coats of From Warsaw With Love. A strange colour. A magenta toned purple with glitter but it also has a brown/orange tone to it. I quite like it, I have nothing like it in my collection although I'm not sure it will be everyone's cup of cha? Again this one was under £3.00 and H and M.

Enjoy

W7 - Salt N Pepper

Hello Everyone,

I'm enjoying a rare day off work. So nice, shame it isn't sunny (boo). Today I have a W7 Glitter Salt n Pepper which I picked up ages ago, its big on the blog network at the mo.

This is two coats of Salt N Pepper, a white polish with black glitter. Kinda dries to a matte finish, I've purposely left the top coat off on this one to show the the effect. Love the fact its a cheap alternative to some of the other collections out, at £1.95 its a BARGAIN. I got mine and two others 'Sprinkles' at http://www.nailpolishdirect.co.uk/

Have you tried these? Whats your verdict?

Barry M - Copper

Hello Everyone

Hope your having a fab weekend! I have one of Barry Ms newest releases today, which came out a couple months back. Barry M appear to be upping their game in the polish department with even having commercials on the tele, something which I haven't seen any other nail polish companies do. I like Barry M, I have a whole bunch of them. They are always reliable in regards to formula. They also seem to be bringing out new finishes to the UK market including the Chameleon and Croc effect. Still light years behind the American market but we are getting there. This is Barry M - Copper.

Flash

This is two coats of Copper. Formula was really good I thought for a glitter and pretty good coverage. The copper/golden micro glitter really gives a lovely two tone effect on the nail, warm and glowing. Not the most 'Summer' shade but its a great polish to go with the neutrals. I wore this one as an accent mani too, with all my nails painted a nude shade, while painting my ring finger with this which also worked really well.

Price £2.99 available from Superdrugs and Barry M , although this one doesn't appear to be on Barry Ms online store for some reason?

Whats your staple Barry M shade? I also love Raspberry, one of my favouirte reds.

Cult Nails - Toxic Seaweed

Howdy Peeps

How's it popping? Hope your all good. Today I have some swatches of Cult Nail's - Toxic Seaweed. This is a first Cult Nails purchase for me, I ordered this and Iconic.

This is 3 coats of Toxic Seaweed, a green based jelly containing glitter and flakies. Like the combination of this one. The green has a slight teal tone and the glitter and orange flakes really work. I struggled on application though, it's slightly sheer and does require a couple of coats to build up.  Maybe this is due to it having all this wonderful glitter and flakes, the suspension base I suppose needs to be quite thick. I would recommend layering this over a suitable colour or letting the layers completely dry before adding coats.

Overall I love Toxic Seaweed, the fact it's a glitter/flakie polish which is green gets a massive thumbs up in my books and totally original in my stash. Available online at Cult Nails for $10.00 (around £7.50) although it is a limited shade.

Kiko - 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter

Hello Everyone!

Yay happy Friday everyone. Today I have for you Kiko 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Picked this up on a shopping trip to Westfields Stratford in the Sale.

Flash

Natural Light

Shade

I have to say, I was expecting big things from Kiko after seeing all the positive reviews online, this is my first polish from them. I wasn't impressed :-(

This is 2 coats of 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Consistency was runny and watery and the holographic micro glitter didn't show up as I would have liked.. The colour however looked nice on and the bottle was a good size.  I have two more colours which I picked up, so hopefully this is a one off and the other Kiko's won't let me down.

Available at Kiko online here for £1.50

Has anyone else tried this brand? Any thoughts?

Accessorize Nail Polish - News

Hey peeps

I've seen two new Accessorize nails polish collections in store at Superdrugs but I've tried contacting Superdrugs and Accessorize and I've not been able to gain a press release yet . One collection is a Metallic polish collection while the other is a 3D Glitter collection. Here is two in the glitter range.

Not much more information to add to this although that they are out there now! Apologies for the poor pics but I found these on the Internet. Click the images above to go to Accessorize online where better pictures are available. I think there are a few more shades in the 3D glitter collection but these look the most interesting. I'm going to pick these up at the weekend so I can get some swatches up.

Enjoy

Revlon - Emerald City and a bit of Wasabi

Hello Everyone!

Sorry its been a few days since my last post but I've had some serious problems with my PC. Somehow it got all corrupted! I've finally restored it although I think my computer has had it. Not a great way to start the year, I was getting blogger withdrawal symptoms!

Today I have for you a bargain purchase, a lovely Revlon I found in the 99p store - Emerald City.

This is 2 coats of Emerald City. Its actually a matte textured polish although its doesn't look very matte here. Its a lovely emerald shade of green containing green shimmer. Looks amazing matte or with a topcoat. I decided to also add a layer of Wild and Crazy - Wasabi a really nice glitter polish I picked up on Amazon for cheap. I think some of the Wild and Crazy shades are discontinuing although this one is still available.

Love my green polishes :-) makes bad computer days seem better.

Enjoy all
