NEW Misa High Society Collection 2012 - Bourbon on the Rocks

Afternoon all,

Autumn is most definitely here, not that Summer was about much! One thing I love is Autumn/Winter polish collections. The rich warm earthy shades are my favourite. On my trip to Olympia Beauty couple of weeks back I picked up a few polishes. This one caught my eye in the Misa stand. I didn't realise it was part of Misa's new High Society Winter Collection. I wanted to kick myself that I didn't check any of the others out. This is Bourbon on the Rocks.

 Shade

This is two coats of Bourbon on the Rocks. A dark red orange shimmer. Reminds me of leather, dark antique red wood and tobacco. Very rich and warm. Application was flawless. I think I've found my Autumn staple. I think the High Society Collection is out now and available. Amazon UK has the collection but I think you might be able to find it a bit cheaper elsewhere.

What do you guys think?

Who am I? A polish identity crisis

Hello Everyone

Today I have a mystery, a Misa nail polish which I picked up in my local nail shop. Problem is, it has no label. I have no idea what shade this is. Moody Model? but I'm not sure? It looks a lot different to the Moody Model pics on the Internet. Moody Model is described as a melted milk chocolate creme, this is more like a rusty tan. This is also older Misa, as the bottle label is white.

Can you Help this little guy out and give it an identity?

No matter the name, It was a lovely polish to wear and a gorgeous colour. The formula was good and applied like butter. This was 2 coats.

Let me know if you have any ideas! Hopefully one of you polish connoisseurs will have an idea...as it's bugging the crap out of me :-)

Thanks

Another Vintage - Misa Pepper

Hi Folks

YES I have for you another vintage nail polish (sorry). I'm in love with these old shades. Another purchase from the nail shop. Misa - Pepper is a Khaki/Olive green polish with a golden shimmer (warning very pic heavy).

With Flash

Absolutely a to die for polish. Such an unusual colour as well. I even got a nice compliment from a shop assistant in a local beauty store, This is two coats. Formula was good. I have one more Misa polish left to show you and that's my lot. I haven't got any polishes from their new collection. I really want Toxic Seduction though and Embroidered Emerald (another discounted polish).

Any other Misa colours/shades you would recommend?

Vintage Heaven- Misa Heaven's Glow

Hi Peoples

Seems I'm stuck in today, the weather is awful and I feel like I'm coming down with a cold (booo). So I can post from the comfort of my pit (bed). Today I have another 'nail shop' purchase. Another vintage Misa - Heaven's Glow. It's a gorgeous light purple polish with gold shimmer, almost duochrome. The pictures of this polish do not do it any justice. Under certain light it turns quite dusky with the mood of the polish completely changing.

Formula was ok seeing it was an oldie. Needed 3 coats and it was still a bit sheer, but I forgive Heaven's Glow as it's an amazing color. I'm hopefully popping back to the nail shop this week and I'm hoping to find some more delights to share with you. This only cost me £2 -vintage on a budget - I likey :-)

Enjoy

The Beginning - A Vintage Misa Polish

Well hello there...

Is anyone there? Well hopefully there will be, otherwise I'm rambling to myself (not an uncommon occurrence). So here is my first blogging nail post and it feels like a start of a voyage, a new beginning.

Why did I decide to begin this journey. Well, I had been contemplating the idea of a nail blog for months but my nails just would not grow to an acceptable length. Weeks past, and still no beautiful long nails appeared.

So I thought sod it, I'm off to the nail shop to get acrylics. It was there that I discovered my first swatch. When picking my mani colour, I stumbled upon this beauty. I never knew what it was until I got home as the bottle had no label, but I knew it was a rare find. But who was I going to share this news with? Nobody, I had NOBODY! No one to get excited with about this little gem of a find.

I have always been a nail polish fan, but over the last 12 months this hobby had turned into an obsession. All the nail polishes I had somehow accumulated needed to be put to good use. That is the start of my story folks.

So lets get on with it. The polish that started it all. Misa Four Leaf Clover.

Misa Four Leaf Clover is a gorgeous forest green polish with copper flecks. I loved it as soon as I spotted it, I was half debating whether to offer to buy the near empty bottle from the shop. I didn't have the guts to ask, they would have thought I was a loon.

I have no idea when Misa released this polish, I did try to research but couldn't find any info.

Despite how my hands look in the pic, this green really suited my skin tone and wasn't as red as my camera shows.

Enjoy and hopefully more posts to follow and some followers to follow the posts (ya get me)
