DOM MINASI - I HAVE THE FEELING I'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE 1975 ONE TRACK ONLY

Sonetimes you come across a record that interests, a creditable label, a talented line up of musicians but the unknown quantity of the content and no means available to listen to it in the shop, leave you pondering.
I admit on first listening to side A on the deck at home, I was ready to put it away for the next 10 years,
but then one track on side B, "Whoah ! Where did that come from ?"

New York jazz guitarist and teacher Dom Minasi recorded this album for Blue Note during the mid 70's,
with a full brass and string section to accompany. The music on this particular record is pretty much an easy listening affair throughout, but the exception is the side B opener, if only...

JOE HAIDER - RECONCILIATION 1974

A spirited, intense recording from German pianist Joe Haider and his group. The encouragement of space by  Haider for the quintet to evolve within the music is generous and as a result most rewarding.

Joe Haider - Piano
Ack van Rooyen - Flugelhorn
Andy Scherrer - Tenor & Soprano saxophones
Gunter Lenz - Acoustic Bass
Todd Canedy - Drums
