Abstract Florals

I don't do abstract nails that often and was really late to this trend (that I think is now pretty much over as I don't see them posted much) but it's a good thing I don't follow trends and do pretty much whatever I want on my nails when I want anyway, including these nails.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of El Corazon N881, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lesly 3 using Painted Polish Deux 2.0.

Added flowers using PY-J053 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added a few random dots using Painted Polish Stamped in Taro.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Love!

I'm sharing a more traditional Valentine's Day mani, but it still is a little different with the microglitter accents!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Red My Lips topped with Painted Polish Seeing Stripes, with accent nails of El Corazon Confetti 530a, no top coat.

Added KBShimmer Clearly on Top on the red nails.

Stamped using image from UberChic Love & Marriage-04 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added stamping on the index and pinky using image from Lina Make Your Mark 02 using Konad red and Lina All About Love-02 on thumb using Painted Polish Stamped in Clay.

Shadow stamped thumb, index and pinky using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Ms. Cindy; I'm only sharing as I think this is the best shadow stamping I've done!

Slightly different lighting for a last look!

Digit-al Dozen Does Texture; Day 4

Happy Valentine's Day!!  This mani is going to do double duty for Valentine's Day as well as day 4 of Digit-al Dozen texture challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of El Corzaon N530A (thumb and middle), Claire's Galaxy (index and pinky) and Girly Bits Brrr-ch Please (ring), no top coat.

Added topcoat on all fingers except thumb and middle as the El Corazon dries matte and rough, making it appropriate for the texture challenge!

Stamped images from Marianne Nails Professional n.29 (thumb and middle) and Lina All About Love 02 (index, pinky and ring) using MdU 1 and 2.  Added heart to ring finger using same Lina plate using Konad red special stamping polish.

Lina All About Love 02

Marianne Nails Professional n.29

By hand and brush, filled in heart on pinky using same Konad red stamping polish.  Shadow stamped the thumb using Marianne Nails Professionals n.29.  Note:  I love the look of this image shadow stamped!  I'll have to do another mani sometimes using this image!

Unfortunately, the heart on the pinky didn't show up that well.  So found my rarely used and cherished FUN red stamping polish and redid the heart on the pinky.  Added heart to index using an image from the same Marianne Nails plate.  I didn't risk restamping the heart on the ring ring finger as I probably wouldn't line it up that well even with a clear stamper, plus it showed up pretty good on the light base colour, so left it.

Topped all fingers except the thumb and middle with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here are the other ladies day 4 mani's!

Have a great Valentine's Day if you do that sort of thing, or have a great Thursday if it's just another day!  Thanks for looking!

Oodles of Hearts for Valentines!

This is about the most traditional Valentine's Day mani that I'll be sharing this year and it's not very traditional at all!  I had more traditional type of nails planned but just ran out of time to do them (and for some reason, thought Valentine's Day was later in the week!)  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of El Corazon Confetti 530, Painted Polish Stamped in Clay and OPI My Wish List Is You.

I waited about half an hour before stamping in order to give the El Corazon time to dry.  Stamped using images from Konad 22 (pinky), Marianne Professional n.21 (thumb), Sugar Bubbles SB 032 (middle) and MJ JR 1 (ring and index).  Double stamped the hearts on the middle image.Used Girly Bits Fire Engine Red stamping polish and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  Unfortunately, I could not get any clear stampers to pick up the image on the thumb, so had to resort to my regular go to semi squishy but didn't get it placed that well.

Konad Square 22

Marianne Professional n.21

Topped all fingers except middle and thumb with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Sorry for awkward hand pose but was trying to get right angle for the stamping on middle finger to be visible.  Hopefully it is clear enough!

Shadow Stamped Roses

I don't do shadow stamping that often as the few times I've tried it, I've failed at lining up the images well and either stamped so far off it's a stretch to be a shadow or exactly on the image and then no shadow at all. It never fails; I go to stamp and just as I press down, the stamper takes on a life of it's own and moves a few millimeters one way or the other and messes up the stamping!  But I did these bright nails right after Digit-al Dozen black week as looking for something a little brighter and didn't do too bad of a job with the shadow stamping this time so thought I would share!  This is what I came up with!

A few polishes that I had my eye at Harlow & Co. were stocked; I knew I wanted to try this Polished For Days Akitla as soon as it arrived; this is two coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Marianne Nails Professional n.11 using FunkyFingers Gesso.  This is all I had initially planned to stamp on my nails but it was just looking too plain to me.

Marianne Nails Professional n.11

So did the double stamping using same image with El Corazon Kaleidoscope 28 which I think was a better decision then leaving it plain.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Decided to add a coat of OPI matte.

I really liked how this turned out; kind of antique or vintage looking...like one would find on old wallpaper except maybe it's just a bit too bright! I also think something along these lines might be cool with some cherry blossom stamping when spring arrives!

Anti Valentine's

This is my Anti Valentine's mani for the FB group Nail Crazies Unite...it's broken hearts and nothing is more Anti Valentine than a broken heart :(

Started with a base of two coats of OPI Black Onyx and Zoya Carey.

Added a coat of El Corazon Confetti n530A to a couple of accent nails.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added OPI Matte to a couple of nails (there was a little bit of sparkle left over from whenever I used it last).

Stamped using MoYou Punk Collection-01 (star on index, white stamping on middle), MoYou Punk Collection-05 (thumb and ring) and Color Club Love (pinky and hearts on index).  Stamping polishes used were FAB red and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

MoYou Punk Collection-01

Color Club Love

I hand painted in the heart on the thumb.

Made the heart on the thumb a broken heart.

Top coated everything off with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Reapplied OPI matte to the accent nails to finish.

Here's the other ladies Anti Valentine mani's!
