Let it Snow!

We got a bit of snow when we woke up Sunday morning. I was singing 'let it snow' to my granddaughter when we were standing at the patio door taking it all in and when I sat down and did my nails last night, I knew that would be the theme of my nails, also for #Music Mani Monday; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of KBShimmer In Yacht Water, then added extra coat on ring finger with two coats of Swamp Gloss Lizard Stone Hairs, PPU March 2025) no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Journails: Christmas Time

Did a gradient on the accent nails using KBShimmer In Yatch Water, Orly Off the Grid and Morgan Taylor Baby It's Bold Outside.  Had a few issues with the gradient at the tips as you can see it was thin.

But it actually got worse; when I put on the top coat and went to take a pix, I put a nick in the accent nails, so I just took a brush and brushed the colours to cover.  Then stamped the rest of the nails using Painted Polish Blanc Slate with an image from Beauty Big Bang XL-030.

Stamped accent nails with image from Journails Christmas Time, after shrinking it a bit, then added snowflake from the other image at the top left.  I don't know why I spent so much time doing the gradient when you couldn't see it much after the stamped image was on it!

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Fall Vibes!

I was in Niagara Falls recently and they still had so many leaves on the trees; it was nice to see the extended colour as they have pretty much all fallen in this area.  Although the weedy trees, whatever they are called, behind my house in the ravine are still green despite the cooler temperatures.  All the colour gives me good reason to continue to post another fall mani; here's what I came up with!

Started with Yves St. Laurent Amber Gingembre and Safran Sultan; two coats each, no top coat.

Topped accent nails with thin coats of Femme Fatale Phantasmagoric Wasteland, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped lines with image from Maniology M164 using MdU 114 and pumpkins were shadow stamped with image from What's Up Nails B053 using MdU 114, then MdU 66.

Added dots using MdU 114.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to add image to thumb using Chez Delaney Automne 001 doing a gradient of MdU 106 and MdU 107, then also added a few random dots using MdU 106.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Remembrance Day Nails

Late in sharing these Remembrance Day nails, but wanted to get them posted as I'm grateful for those who fought for our freedoms in the past and those who are still fighting for them today!

I noticed when looking back at past manis that I do a lot of gray bases for Remembrance Day, so wanted something a little different and thought that this shimmer might compliment the red stamping that I planned on doing.  This is three coats of Nailed It Sweet Scent on a base of Cupcake VNL Blur, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped all nails with CjSH-26, except thumb which is MM78XL using CjS 062 stamping polish and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

It seems like I forgot to do the camera settings on all the pictures; I'm sure there's a way to fix it but I don't have the inclination.

Tribute to Ace Frehley

We lost another rock legend a couple weeks ago with the passing of Ace Frehley, original member of KISS, after a fall at homem  I did these nails as a tribute for Mani Music Monday and for the song, did I
das Make for Lovin' You by Kiss released back in May 1979, which was when Ace was part of the band.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and OPI Black Onxy, no top coat.

The black nails were layered with Polished for Days Interstellar and the white had Painted Polish 2019 added.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I wanted a little bit more pizzazz on the accent nails, so added a coat of Tins The Snow Love, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped stars using Classic Beauty BM-XL356 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then aces from Delaney Casino 001 (after increasing the size), and stamped ring with Apipila L18 (after increasing size and removing outline) and then MdU An Enanto 02 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

MdU VZ L07

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Maniology MXM081

I have a confession.  The plan was that I was going to stamp the spaceman image from Maniology MXM081 on the thumb as Ace was known as the Spaceman in the group.  But  messed up and stamped the stars on all nails, but added it to Ms. Cindy after shrinking it; here's what it looks like.   This base polish is Glisten & Glow Comet.

I'm glad I added the stars as I like the look more and still on theme with stars in space!

Thanks for looking and RIP, Ace.

Best Autumn Ever!

I'm not sure if it has been the best autumn every but I thought I should share some more fall nails before the snow falls, which, if the forecast is correct, is suppose to be in the morning.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of CND Denim Patch, no top coat.  I love this shade of blue!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 03 on all nails except for ring, which is CjS LC-57, using MdU 54, 66, 107 and Konad red special stamping polish.

I contemplated adding dots, or small leaves, or something but decided to leave it as is.  So topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

While I type this post, the skies are clear and  it's very peaceful; however, if the forecast is right, we are in for a whole lot of snow tomorrow.  Please be extra safe as it seems that everyone forgets what it's like to drive in the snow each year, especially the first snow!

Thanks for looking!

More Fall Nails

The leaves are finally falling in my area with the cooler temperatures and I'm sure, we'll be seeing the first snowfall.  In fact, I was positive I seen a random snowflake in the rain yesterday!  It's too soon; I'm still looking forward to cooler days before the snow falls!  In the meanwhile, I'll share a few more fall mani's including this one!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Dimension Nails American Alligator, no top coat.

Topped thumb with a coat of KBShimmer Sol Amazing, no topcoat.

While pretty, wasn't the look I was going for, so added a coat of Mooncat Stumped.  That really wasn't the look I was going for either, but decided to live with it.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

MdU AK Otono

MdU Autumn 3 and the gradient process once the stamping polishes are dabbed on, then scraped to mix together.

Stamped using images from MdU Autumn 3 and MdUAK Otono using MdU 13, 32, 66, 106, 114 and 122.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Thanks for looking!  And why did I just notice that I failed to do cleanup on the thumb as can see the stamping polishes???
