Fall Thrills and Halloween Chills Blog Hop Winner

Hello Everyone,

Long day at school (teacher work day to get grades completed) and then we went to dinner (love when I don't have to cook after working all day), but now it is time to announce the lucky winner from this past weekend's hop. Before I do...THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by. I sure do enjoy reading your sweet comments!

The winner is...
Congrats Beth
Please e-mail me at coachfans at cox dot net with your mailing address, so I can send your surprise goodies.

I also want to share the pair of cards I made yesterday for a co-worker.
Two of her grandkids will be turning one. She loves them personalized, so I make them just for her! I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for the blue squirrel and Miss Kate Cuttable's giraffe. Skittles by Carri, blue crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM, a ladybug brad, and some craft thread are a few of the embellishments added.

Hope you have a great night!

Congrats My Craft Spot Winner!

Welcome Back Crafty  Friends,

I haven't been around for the past few days since I have been sick. I do not get sick often, but when I do...I do it right. I decided after 3 days of high fever, coughing, not eating or drinking for days, then the intense feeling that someone was laying a pile of bricks on my chest was enough. I went to the doctors yesterday and left with 3 scripts and a diagnosis of bronchitis. Today has been the first full day of meds (5 different types total) and I am starting to feel better...in between the coughing! So glad it is the beginning of Winter Break, so I still have time to recuperate and enjoy.

Today I would like to announce the winner from my Guest Designer post at My Craft Spot. THANK YOU everyone for the kind words you left. I sure do love to make treats for my students and co-workers. Before making the announcement here is one more card using the Metal Tiny Tag Dies (I made it Thursday night just before I got sick.). They are AWESOME!
This card was made at a co-workers request for her neighbor who just graduated from nursing school.
The medical pieces were cut from Everyday Paper Dolls (p. 60) at 5 1/2".

The winner of one stamp set from My Craft Spot is...
Congratulations!
Send me an e-mail and I will forward your information to Kimberly.

Happy Holidays,
Georgiana

My Exploring Cricut Day and a Christmas Hop Winner

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share at Exploring Cricut. I made this birthday card for a dear friend that I have known for many years (we started teaching ESE together 13 years ago) and I gave it to her at a surprise birthday party. I no longer work at that same school, so it was great to see all the people from my previous school. Hoping we will all be able to get together again real soon.

My Exploring Cricut project...
I used this sketch from The Sweet Stop. Be sure to check out their sketches (they post a new one every Saturday). They are fabulous!

I created the frame from a strand of green beads. I used Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive, which works amazingly. I did not make the flowers. They are from a pick. I cut the wire off and then flattened the back.
Materials:
papers (unknown)
brown card stock
Live Simply Cricut Lite cartridge ~ mouse cut at 2"
Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge ~ gift1 (p. 56) cut at 1"
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ sentiment (p. 69) cut at 3"
green beads
green flowers
wiggly eye

The 1 Month 'til Christmas Winner is...

Be sure to come back on Monday to jon us for the Exploring Cricut Christmas Card Blog Hop.

Birthday Surprise and a Winner

Good Evening Crafty Friends,

Today was a busy day with getting food ordered for my son's Eagle Ceremony, which is this Sunday and getting new materials moved into my classroom. I did find some time when I came home to make a birthday card. You can never have enough, huh?
I used the layout from Tuesday Morning Sketches, but rotated the design 90 degrees.
The banner and birds are adhered with pop dots.
Inside sentiment...I like to use strips/scraps to coordinate the inside along with the envelopes.
Materials:
 My Mind's Eye paper
black cardstock
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ Surprise banner (p. 48) cut at 2 1/2"
black gems
Happy Birthday stamp
black ink

Important Announcement...
I also want to announce the winner for the 5 Months Till Christmas Hop.
Congratulations to cathyplus5!
Please send me an email (coachfans at cox dot net) with your mailing address, so I can get your surprise goodies out.

"Chic" Recipe and a Birthday Winner

Better late than never!

Hard for me to say, but I didn't even post my Die Cuttin' Diva card on my own site this week. I prepared the challenge post and added all the the Design Team's  projects (I even remembered Mr. Linky and all the links to the DT members), but didn't post my own card. Then I had a terrible headache yesterday and a Science meeting last night, which delayed me. So finally...

The challenge this week is a recipe...
feathers, flowers and/or fabric.
I tried to incorporate all three. I added a piece of black lace over the pink card stock to create a background and the feathers are draped over her blouse. It actually looks pretty neat in person. I like to feel different materials, so this card is perfect for the tactile person.

Here is my project...
Materials:
Forever Young cartridge
pink, blue, and black card stock
black lace
feathers
pink flowers (cut from an edge punch)
pink gems

On to some more important information...

Winner of the Pin Giveaway

Good Evening,

I am so glad that my beaded pin pictorial was a hit and many people have decided to make their own. Don't forget to share your creations here.

Here is a new card I have started. I still need to add a sentiment, but I love these embellishments that I won at Fantabulous Cricut from Creative Charms.
I also included a two-tone pink pin. With this one, I added beads to the bottom half of the pin so no one would get poked. I used Mod Podge again.
Additional Materials:
K&Company paper ~Smitten stack
3GirlJAM ribbon ~ Cherry Lipstick

It is now time to announce the lucky winner of the 5 sets of beaded stick pins.

My Daughter's Challenge and the Winner

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is the day.
The day before we go back to school, the day after New Years, and the day to announce the winner of the Holiday Spirit Giveaway.
Yeah!

First, I have a card to share with you. My daughter wanted to challenge me to a card creation contest last night. She is gung-ho right now (especially since she won the Tuesday Morning Sketch), so I could not refuse. She was allowed to pick the sketch, in which she selected CPS (Card Positioning Systems) and then we would compare our final project.

Mine

What do you think?
I honestly have to say, I like hers better. : )

Now for the winner of the Holiday Spirit Giveaway.
Random.org selected #37...

Congratulations!
Send me your mailing address, so I can send your package. I hope you enjoy the crafting goodies.
