Another one of my stick pins. I sure do love to create them! There are so many different colors and patterns...the possibilities are endless!

Recollections paper ~ Valentine stack
Scrappy Moms stamp ~ With All My Heart set

Carson's Creations stick pin

Fantabulous Guest Spotlight and New Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends (and Cricut Users),

Today I am a Guest Designer at Fantabulous Cricut. What a great honor to be asked to share your creativity with others. Yesterday I was featured in the Sunday Spotlight, today I get to share the new challenge, and next week I will be in a final inspirational Cricut post.

This week's challenge....
3 Pattern Papers
That is SUPER easy for me! I love to layer paper!
I made a set of personalized baby cards for a co-worker.
This first card is for a new baby boy and I used 3 Birds on Parade for the darling little chick.
I added Aqua Splash crinkle ribbon by 3 Girl JAM, a handmade stick pin that I created, yellow skittles by Carri, and his name.

I typed his name on my computer at 12 font (Lucinda Calligraphy) and used a 1 inch circle punch so it would be centered.

This second personalized card is for the big brother.
Other Materials:
SEI paper ~ Chick-a-doo assortment pack
teal and white card stock
Lacey Circle Spellbinders
teal gems
wiggly eyes

Hope you will join us at Fantabulous Cricut for this week's challenge...
Use 3 pattern papers.

Happy Birthday Sporty Skunk

Hello Crafty Friends,

Thank you for stopping by today to see what new projects have been created. I have been enjoying making treat bags/toppers, but now I have some birthday cards that I need to make before the last day of school. One down...a few more to go!

Here is one for a boy who loves sports.
I am not sure what the birthday boy's favorite sport is, but I thought baseball was an all time favorite. My favorite sport...hmmm...I like to ride my bicycle.
What is your favorite sport?
I added the baseball bat and ball to the skunk's hands.
Red stitching added with extra fine tip marker.

Rainy Days vs. Sunny Days

Hello Crafty Friends,

It was a great week at school...we created Plant Life Cycle posters, started our poetry books, planted a bunch of seeds, and we worked on Angles/Transformations. Next week we are going to add the Animal Life Cycle and try to grow some beetles. I need to take some pictures at school and share all the work we are doing. It is quite impressive what the students have been learning. Hard to believe there are only 8 weeks left.

Our weather has been quite odd the past couple of days. The meteorologist has predicted severe storms and all sporting events have been cancelled, but then we barely receive any rain. Most of the storms have been further south.

Talking about the weather reminds me...
It's time for a new challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.

The Challenge...April Showers
Include a cloud, an umbrella, or rain boots
This paper matched the challenge perfectly (Well, the rain boots are missing, but that birdie sure would look cute wearing some.).
Materials:
Heidi Grace Sunshower paper
Canvas Corp polka dot paper
yellow cardstock
Create a Critter Cricut cartridge ~ bird (p. 65) cut at 1 1/4"
April Showers Cricut cartridge ~ umbrella cut at 2 1/4"
polka dot ribbon
wiggly eye
pink pearls

Hope you will join us at Little Scrap Pieces this week for our April Showers challenge. Can't wait to see your project.

The winner of the 1,000 Follower Giveaway will be announced this weekend. If you haven't left a comment, be sure to today!

I am Having Some Birthday Fun Today

Good Morning,

Not only is today my Exploring Cricut Design Team day, but it is my birthday. I am feeling quite content, especially after I had a student tell me I only looked 25 yesterday. I guess we do not all look like crypt keepers to 9 year olds. : ) What are the plans? Olive Garden and going to pick out a bicycle. Then  I might actually get a little more time to craft. Oh, how I have missed the paper, the gems, the buttons, the dies...

Here is my Exploring Cricut project...
I have been wanting to use a cow to make a card for some time, but have never found the right reason.

Materials:
KI paper ~ Over the Rainbow collection (Leafy and Inkjyet)
black, white, and kraft card stock

A Happy Birthday with Little Hippo

Wow!
What a great day already. I have been super busy this morning and I still have more to do on "the list". My list is going to be all about crafting today. I want to get to visiting everyone and chatting with those I have missed. I need to work on sending e-mails too. I have a ton I need to respond to. Sorry for the delay, but you will hear from me soon.

I made this card last night, but was nodding off before I could finish the post. I wanted to make sure everything made sense and was spelled correctly before sharing. I am hoping the pictures looks bright enough since I took them late.
Isn't she too cute in purple and yellow? My favorite is the gift bag on her tail.
Materials:
Bo Bunny paper ~ Sun Wash Calico (yellow)
Creative Imaginations paper (purple)
white card stock
Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge ~ hippo (p. 44) cut at 2 1/4", gift bag (p. 30) cut at 1 1/4", and sentiment (p.27) cut at 1"
purple polka dot ribbon
purple button
yellow craft thread
purple gems
wiggly eyes

I am quite thrilled since I was able to pile on 8 different challenges.

Have a FABULOUS day! I am off to get some more crafting done. How exciting! Hoping there are a bunch of new challenges posted already.

3 X 3 Note Set

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

I started working on this project yesterday afternoon and just finished it up this morning...trying to get creative with the photo display too (need to work on lighting/shadows still). It is a note set with matching gift bag. I am not really sure who I want to give this too, but I was thinking my mother-in-law would use it at work and her co-workers would love to receive one.

Here is my project...
The set includes six 3X3 cards and matching envelopes, which all fit in the coordinating bag.
A variety of materials were used to create this set.
I just love that flower...it is actually a star die cut layered in various sizes.

Materials:
Creative Imaginations star card stock (for treat bag)
red, white, and blue card stock
other patriotic paper from scrap box
red, white, and blue (star and round) buttons
blue satin and blue crinkle ribbon
red and white Martha Stewart twine
blue gems
red star brad, round blue brad, and polka dotted star brad
Cardz Tv stamps ~ Thinking of You and Smile!
My Pink Stamper stamps ~ You Can Do it
Docerela stamps ~ enjoy!
Spellbinders ~ Moroccan Motifs
Wrap It Up Cricut cartridge ~ treat bag (p. 40) cut at 9 1/2" (I used the fit to page feature.)

Celebrations Cricut cartidge ~ star
Create-a-Critter Cricut cartridge ~ pinwheeel (p. 29) cut at 2 1/2"
Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge ~ firework (p. 54)
Independence Day Cricut cartridge ~ bell cut at 2"

Many people asked where did this purse come from. The pink purse was cut from Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge (p. 66) at 9 3/4".

Hope you have a great weekend.
We move our son into the dorms at UNF tomorrow. Exciting for him!

Happy Everything

Today was our first day of Spring Break, so why not be happy. We ran a couple errands and then I have been able to work on a few projects. I am looking forward to the next week off since we made no plans. I did not want to go anywhere because it always sees you need a vacation to recupe from your vacation.

Instead, I have created a list of projects that I am hoping to cross off as completed. #1. Enter a challenge...Done!

Here is my project for today...
Materials:
Colorbok paper ~ Pastels pack
white and black cardstock
Create a Critter cartridge ~ chick (p. 53) cut at 2"

Have a Hoppy Day

I owe the creation of this card to Diana of DL.Art. Why do you ask? I received a My Pink Stamper DVD and two sets of stamps from her 1 year blogoversary prize pack. Yippee! Or maybe I should say, "Ribbit Ribbit!"

Well, my daughter and I watched both of the Cricut Fun videos in just one night (I think it was about 2 hours full of projects!), so I decided to use Robyn's style for a new card.
Materials:
Heidi Grace paper ~ Daisy Dear
black and white cardstock
Create-a-Critter cartridge ~ frog (p. 24) cut at 2 1/4"
Spellbinders ~ Lacey Circles
ribbon from stash
blue floral embellishments by Martha Stewart
My Pink Stamper ~ That's Punny-licious
Versafine Onyx Black ink

Thanks again Diana for all the goodies that helped make my froggie card.

Georgiana
