Thinking of EWE at Paper Play Sketches

Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Wednesday!

After enjoying a long weekend with the hubby, he heads back to work for a few days. Now I can head back to the craft room and get some projects completed without getting side-tracked.

Today is also Paper Play Sketches Day!
This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
While we were binge watching a TV show on Amazon, I was able to try my hand at coloring some new MFT stamps. I stamped a bunch of images and then worked on a few hedgehogs, the birthday bear, a leopard, and a couple sheep. I don't own a bunch of markers, but the colors I had were a good start. My hubby picked this one...he thought the sheep would be perfect for a baby card too.

I used a Spellbinders Lacey Circle and then the MFT stitched circle. The ribbon is by Melissa Frances.

The stamped sentiment is part of the MFT Ewe Are the Best stamp set.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they interpreted the sketch.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

I Like This Cupcake!

Happy Friday!
This is my second post for today. This usually only happens once a month when two design team projects are due on the same day. Earlier I shared Eyelet Outlet and Brads, and now I am sharing Miss Kate Cuttables' project.

Here is my Design Team project...
A yummy, chocolate birthday cupcake that is liked by all! The frosting is pink so it can either be vanilla with tint or strawberry flavored...you choose.

I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.

I used a Spellbinder Label Twenty-two for the frame.

Stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom.
If you like what you see, please become a follower. Leave me your blog name and I will stop by to see what you have been making!

Hello and thanks for visiting Carson's Creations.

You can make a Valentine project, a birthday card, or any other occasion.

The stamped sentiment is a K. Andrew stamp. The scalloped circle is a Lacey Circle by Spellbinders and the zig zag stitched circle is by MFT.

Make It Sparkle at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans,

Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. I hope you will join us this week since you get to use all the sparkles for this one. Oooh...doesn't that sound like fun!?!

This Week's Challenge...
~ Make It Sparkle ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I love my pattern papers, but I have been very interested in the clean and simple look. I decided to combine watercolor and sparkle to help spread some holiday cheer.

I cut my watercolor paper with MFT Blueprint #20 stitched rectangle die.

I used a water pen and purple (then pink) watercolor paint to create the backgrounds. The Spellbinders ornament was in my stash (so nice to find old stuff that you haven't used in quite a while...seems like new again) and cut it  into silver glitter foam with the Cuttlebug. I heat embossed the sentiment by Bug Bites ~ Glad Tidings with silver powder by Stampendous.

I adhered the ornament and tiny satin bows with Glue Dots.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Make It Sparklechallenge. The other design team members did a super job this week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thank You for Something New

Hello Everyone,

It sure is a wonderful Wednesday since Christmas is only two days away (I have a few last minute errands today and then I am definitely ready) and it's time for a new DoubleClick Skittles Challenge.

This Week's Challenge...
Something New

Here is my Design Team project...
I made thank you cards for my class because of all the new stuff they got me for gifts. Boy, was I lucky...a necklace, a couple gift certificates, a teacher mug, a Christmas ornament, a candle, a Tervis cup,  and a few homemade gifts (kids that love to craft and make gifts...hmmm...perfect for being in my class).

I used Tim Holtz distress inks (barn door and mowed lawn) to make each of the backgrounds. That was fun! I love how different each one is ...just like my students!

The foal point is a stamped sentiment by My Craft Spot and it is adhered to a Lacey Circle Spellbinders. Frosty Kisses skittles (from the newest skittles release) in the corners and a green sparkly bow (Did you see my sparkle cards from yesterday? Check them out for more sparkle!)

I made eleven, but I may need to make a few more for co-workers.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the "Something New" challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. Be sure to check out the other projects by the Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by!

Spellbinders and Gelatos

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hard to believe the weekend is just about over already. I think the more you look forward to them the quicker they go by. Spring Break is in two weeks and there are only 10 weeks of school left this year. Time sure flies by!

This first card I am sharing I made at the Scrapbook Expo. It is another from the Spellbinders class. I was so excited about learning new techniques that I made two more after I got home using similar materials.

Here are my designs...
First, I used a couple different embossing folders to create the background since I did not have any similar Spellbinders dies. Then I used Gelatos and water to add the color. I was very quick with my painting just to see what type of effect the raised embossing would create.  Now that I know it works I will be more careful next time. Lastly, I added 3 Girl JAM ribbon (gold trim and purple striped), polka dotted vellum, and pink skittles/gold sequins. The sentiments were cut with my Cricut Expression.
Other Materials:
white, purple, and black cardstock

What is the most recent technique that you have learned? I know there are plenty more that will keep me busy. Can't wait for you to share!

Have a FABULOUS week!

Thinking of You at St. Patrick's Day

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by. Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Hope you will join us this week!

This Week's Challenge...
St. Patrick's Day
What began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and a whole lot of green.

Here is my Design Team project...
I wanted to try a new technique that I learned at the Scrapbook Expo. I stamped my own background using foam craft and a Spellbinders.

Choose any Spellbinders that can be used as a background. I bought a new one at the Scrapbook Expo after attending my class.

First, you cut the die from craft foam. I ran my through the Cuttlebug just like it was paper. You will have to remove the tiny pieces since the foam is thicker.  Then you stamp it really well with any color ink. Lastly, using a clear stamp block and double sided tape...stamp the design onto cardstock.

Add embellishments and decorate after the ink is dry.
Other Materials:
white and yellow card stock
Bo Bunny pattern paper
VersaMagic ink ~ Tea Leaves
Spellbinders ~ Label One
KaDoodle Bug ~ Irish Sheep svg file
Bo Bunny stamp
yellow gems

Other Challenges:
KaDoodle Bug FB Challenge ~ St. Patrick's Day

Here is the one I made at the Orlando Scrapbook Expo in the Spellbinders class.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "St. Patrick's Daychallenge. The other design team members sure are full of luck this week because all their projects are amazing. Be sure to check them out.

Hope you will join the challenge this week!

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello Crafty Friends,

My husband asked me to make a couple sympathy cards for two principals that are also brothers. Their mother passed away last week and we wanted to let them know we are thinking of them during their loss.

This first card features the peace dove from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. The sentiment is from K Andrews.

The second card has a Spellbinders (Fancy Tags Two) as the focal point with the same sentiment. Gold and black pearls along with a gold bow add a splash of color, but still keep it clean and simple.
Other Materials:
My Mind's Eye pattern paper
white, grey, green, black, yellow, and pink card stock
Versafine Black Onyx ink
white pearls

Georgiana
