Thanks for Being There

Hello Everyone,

Happy Saturday...well, sort of! This is my last weekend before going back to school on Monday! Summer flew right by, but I did get some yard work and paper crafting projects completed. I could use another couple weeks to finish decluttering, but I know the parents are probably ready to send their children back to start learning again.

This past Thursday I asked my daughter if she felt like going for a car ride since she had been in bed for a few days with her mouth being sore and being dizzy from the meds (She had all four wisdom teeth removed and some of the gums were trimmed back.). I thought some fresh air might help with recovery. She agreed and we went to My Favorite Things in Eustis, FL. I had no idea there was a real shop open for business less than an hour away.
It was like being in a candy store! So many choices! I did purchase  a few items and plan on going back for one of the classes on Saturdays.

Here is what I created with a few of my new goodies!

First, I used Ranger Distress inks to create the water color backgrounds.

Then I cut the scribble roses, the overlays, and the leaves with my Cuttlebug.

Lastly, I cut the stitched circle and stamped it with my new Encouraging Words stamp. Matching sequins were carefully adhered.
Challenges:

I am very pleased with the outcome. I had watched a few videos on watercolor techniques earlier in the week and was able to use them. Can't wait to use some more watercolors and the other goodies I bought at the MFT boutique.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Come Join the Divas with a Wedding

Hello!
Are you ready for another challenge at the Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge Blog? This week the theme is "wedded bliss" with a no heart twist. I haven't attended too many weddings, but I do know love is important in a marriage and getting flowers every now and then can't hurt.
The decorative papers used were from the DCWV Love stack.
The roses were cut at 3" from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.
Tying the Knot sentiment was cut at 1 1/2" from the Sweetheart cartridge.
White lace and black round brads

I do want to share a card from the Summer Bonus Challenge that I thought was super yummy.
Carri from Abusybee
Please join us this week and submit your wedding themed project. Remember...you can not use any hearts. I look forward to seeing your projects.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
