February Sketch at Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday!
The week is off to a great start and there is plenty going on until the weekend. I have a trip to the Wellness Bus today, tutoring after school, an eye appointment on Wednesday, and a CAS meeting on Friday. Never a dull moment! I am thinking about taking a trip to MFT on Saturday morning since I won a gift certificate the other day and I really like a few of the new release items (like the ostriches, super dogs, and confetti stencil).

Today I am also sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ February's Sketch ~

Here is my Design Team project...
I really like this MFT heart tree die, but it is a lot of work piecing it back together in the variety of colors. Thanks goodness for the Silhouette Pick-Me-Up stick. I used the colors from the plaid paper for the leaves and hearts.

The stamped sentiment is by Whimsical Designs (closed and not available).
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "February's Sketch" challenge. The design team has quite a variety, so be sure to check them out.

Thanks Dragon

Happy Friday Everyone,

Only been back at school for school for two days and what a week. We had our telescope dedication yesterday and now we are getting a stereo microscope donated too. I have absolutely NO idea what it is (yet), BUT I am happy that our STEM Lab is going to be stepping up in the science world. I am also going to work on a wish list for another grant...yay for BIG companies that like to support Title I schools.  I'll be exploring options this weekend!

Today I am sharing a card that my daughter and I worked on collaboratively. I created the background using a sketch from Mojo Monday. Yes, the sketches are back at Poetic Artistry! I selected the stamped sentiment and image from MFT, but my daughter did the stamping, heat embossing (she likes to do that to prevent bleeding), and coloring.

Here is the most recent Mojo Monday sketch.

The stamped sentiment is from MFT ~ Thanks So Very Much. I really do love this set because of the over-sized font. I just checked in the store and it looks like they don't carry it any more. Bummer!
Other Challenges:

Lots planned this weekend...I need to write some science lesson plans for the STEM lab, grade some Math Winter Break packets for 3rd and 5th grade, going to Mr. Phil's observatory on Saturday night (hoping for clear skies), create and review a couple math assessments for fractions, and I can't forget...I need to make some crafty projects! I am thinking alcohol lift ink, treat boxes, "good job" post cards, water color backgrounds, oxide inks. So many ideas but I am not sure if there is enough time for EVERYTHING!

No time like now, so I better get started on the long list.

Pinata is Hoping for a Smashing Birthday

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by on this wonderful Wednesday! I am heading back to school for a Teacher Workday, which means I will be meeting with teachers during collaboration time. Each grade level has one hour scheduled throughout the day and we will be meeting with them to kick off third quarter. I am looking forward to seeing everyone after Winter Break and hearing all about their vacations/trips.

Today I am sharing a fun and colorful birthday card. I just received this My Favorite Things pinata die for Christmas and was super excited to cut it out. I did look at a few of the MFT design team projects to see their choice of colors and fringe. Once I decided on the plaid paper, finding the pinata's colors were a breeze.

I used this week's sketch from Die Cuttin' Divas.

I used the MFT cloud stencil and Broken China distress ink to create a background on white cardstock. Then I cut the stitched circle to the size I needed to fit my pinata directly in the center. I used the snow drift die to make a hill of grass.

I am submitting this card to the My Favorite Things Birthday Challenge.

The stamped sentiment is by Lawn Fawn ~ Year Seven. Pink pearls were added in the lower right corner.

THANKS ~ Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends,

Happy Saturday!
Since my daughter and I have finished making holiday cards and tags for our Carson's Cards for Cancer fundraiser, I have been able to focus on other projects. I have been looking for challenges, but there are not to many right now since most design teams are on break until after the first of the year. I was fortunate to find a CAS (clean and simple) one that I liked. I am making a few more thank you cards for a teacher at school and I need to add some to my stash.

I used the following sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

The big THANKS die is by My Favorite Things and was cut with my Cuttlebug. I added a black shadow to the pink letters to match the trim and card base. The woodgrain paper is by My Mind's Eye ~ 6" x 6" Wood stack.

I have a few other projects that I have been working that I will be sharing during the next couple of days. Be sure to stop by often for lots of new projects. Can you believe it is almost 2019?!?!

Thank You So Very Much

Hello Everyone and Happy Thursday,

Today is the first day of Winter Break and I have been up doing homework already. I know...it's vacation time and I can't stop. It is nice and quiet at home when everyone else is sleeping, so I can get more work done and in less time.

Kels and I have been working on our Carson's Cards for Cancer fundraiser for my BIL, Denny. So far we have raised almost $500 of the $707 goal. I was asked to make a bunch of thank you cards, so here are a couple. More to come!

I used the following sketch from Sunday Stamps.

The papers are from Pebbles ~ Family Ties stack and the stitched dies are from My Favorite Things. Twine was from the stash.

I added Thanks! from Craftin Desert Divas stamps above the MFT sentiment ~ Thanks So Very Much stamp set.
Other Challenges:

I need to make a dozen more thank you cards during the next week with a few holiday ones. Should be busy, especially since we haven't finished our Christmas shopping yet. How about you? What do you still need to finish up?

Georgiana

Birthday Raccoon

Happy Saturday!
Can you believe it is December 1st already?!?! I've been super busy this past week making a variety of projects, so I am looking forward to sharing. I did a little online shopping during the Black Friday sales, which is exciting since I now have some new stamps/supplies. I don't even have to wait till Christmas to use them since I used birthday gift certificates. Also, I signed my daughter and I up for the My Favorite Things Christmas Party on the 15th...fun! fun! fun!

Today's project...
I made this sweet birthday card for a one year old.The pattern papers are from a MFT 6" x 6" paper stack ~ Hearts and Stripes. I did stamp the inside with Distress Oxide Black Soot...Look who's one!

I used the following layout for my card from Stella Says Sketch.

The Miss Kate Cuttable raccoon was cut with my Cameo. I did not use the hat or scarf that was included since it was for a special occasion and not the current season. There are 4 layers which align very nicely for assembly. The present was a svg files found in my collection.
Enjoy your Saturday whether you are shopping, crafting, or relaxing. My hubby is watching college football, so I am going to work on laundry and a few more projects. I haven't joined any challenges lately; therefore, it is time to find a few.

Personalized Birthday Using Die Cuttin' Diva Sketch

Happy Saturday,

I have a couple personalized birthday cards to share that I made for a friend's grandkids. This Minnie Mouse is a favorite...it's just so cute with all the pink. I cut the Minnie and letters/number with my Cameo, the stitched dies and stamped sentiment are by MFT, and the pattern papers are from Paper Studio. I added a few sequins since girls love bling.

I used the following sketch from Die Cuttin' Divas for my Minnie Mouse card.

I used my Cameo to cut the tractor and letters/number. The stamped sentiment is by Cardz TV Stamps and the stitched dies are by MFT.
Other Challenges:

I took really quick pictures rather than pulling out the light box, but I plan on setting it back up today. I need to put away a bunch of stamps and get organized. Feeling good and productive!

Enjoy your weekend,
Georgiana

Love Challenge at Craftaholics R Us

Hello Everyone,
Welcome back. It has been a busy week around here, but it seems no matter how much you do there is always more. My "to-do" list continues to grow, but checking off items gives me a feeling of accomplishment. Today's goal is to get at least 50% of it completed.

The challenge at Craftaholics R Us began yesterday. I prefer not to double post if I don't have to. Since I didn't have anything else scheduled it worked out nicely. You still have plenty of time to join. Let's get crafty!

This Week's Challenge...
~ Love You Cards ~

Here is my Design Team project...
When I think of love, the color red comes to mind first. I pulled out two Christmas paper stacks and selected a few of the red and white sheets. You can't even tell the papers are from the holidays.

I used the following sketch from Cheerful Sketches Challenge Blog.

The stamped sheep is by MFT ~ Ewe Are the Best set. I used a Chameleon marker to color the heart, the sheep's face, and his feet.

The black stitched circle and the word love are cut from a black glitter foam sheet. Even though the material is slightly thicker than cardstock, it still cut in the Cuttlebug without difficulty.
Hope you will join us at Craftaholics R Us this week for our "Love You Cardschallenge. Be sure to check out the other crafty creations.

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...

No excuse for not joining us since it can be anything you are working on.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am a major dog lover and will probably be one of those crazy old ladies that takes her dog every where. She is quite the spoiled pooch now and loves to go for long walks or take a ride in the truck.

I used the following sketch from Viva La Verve.

The puppy is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Woof was cut on the Cameo from brown card stock.

The stamped sentiment is by Jaded Blossom ~ Dog-Gone Awesome set. It was stamped with Vintage Photo Oxide Ink by Tim Holtz.
Other Challenges:

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Anything Goes" challenge. These are the BEST! You can crate anything you want. Our sponsor this week is Stamp Simply.

Thinking of You and a PDE Birthday Winner

Happy Monday Fellow Crafters,

Looking forward to not having to get up and get ready for school for a month, so I can rest my aching neck. I have been experiencing excruciating pain again (happened about two years ago too) as a result of stress, and I am hoping having some time off will be the cure. Just having positive thoughts is already making me feel better. : )

Today's Project...
I logged onto Paper Playfulwhich happens to be my favorite website for challenges and I wrote down a list that I wanted to participate in. I enjoy combining a few of the challenges together for maximum creativity.

I used the following sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday and the photo inspiration from Your Next Stamp ~ Color Challenge. Such a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The flower is from Miss Kate Cuttables and I only cut three of the rose layers on my Cameo. I used MFT dies, Paper Studio pattern papers from Hobby Lobby, and blue gems from Want 2 Scrap. The sentiment is by Cardz TV Stamps ~ Encouraging Thoughts.
Other Challenges:

PDE Birthday Winner...
Woohoo! It's time to announce the winner...
Congratulations!
Send me an e-mail at coachfans at cox dot net and I will mail your package this week!

Coming Soon...
Hope you will join me and some of my crafty friends. LOTS of prizes!

Until next time,

3-2-1: I Turtley Adore You at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Diva Fans!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by!
Today I am sharing the new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
~ 3- 2 - 1 ~
You must use 3 pattern papers, 2 embellishments, and 1 ribbon or bow.

Here is my Design Team project...
I had two these pattern papers sitting on my craft table and decided to finally use them...I just had to choose a third piece to fit the challenge. I used two skittles from DoubleClick and finally added a twine bow for the third component of the 3-2-1.

I used the following sketch from Sunday Stamps.

I just received the MFT turtle in the mail and had to use it right away. After I stamped it, I realized I should have used my daughter's technique. She heat embosses the stamped image with clear embossing powder. It makes a sharp outline and prevents bleeding. If I have time after school, I may give it another try and replace my image.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "3-2-1challenge.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana
