Woodland Party For Archie

It's been a while since I've seen a Woodland themed party, and this one photographed by Jennifer Sando, in Australia, is just about as cute as it gets.  The setting itself is full of charm, and the woodland party decor is packed with sweet details.
I love the beautiful "welcome" space, and the name banner is creatively designed.  Small bags of snacks await the guests as they arrive.

Can you believe the "mushroom" below is a cake?!  The dessert table if full of many yummy themed treats...
Each young guest is sent home with a basket of goodies, while each family is given an herb plant to keep.  All the sweet touches in this party make it very inviting and relaxed, and a great inspiration piece - comfortable enough for the kids AND grown ups!

Framed Flower Vases

Thanks to a  lovely email from Katie of Newcomb Home, I found this fantastic DIY frame idea that I felt I had to share with you all.  Beverly of Flamingo Toes has created a stunning focal piece with this bud vase flower display using an old door with chicken wire, frames, and small bottles & vases.  This would be a great addition to hang behind a dessert table, or to use in home decor.  You can see the full tutorial by visiting Flamingo Toes blog.

Chic Design For Casual Entertaining

If you love casual entertaining with a chic twist, this inspiration shoot by Vanessa of Alchemy Event Design is for you!  The theme revolves around the cheese and fruit display incorporated into the dessert table, and decorative elements include cheesecloth runners, and sheep, cow, and goat graphics to represent the sources of the cheese.
The centerpiece of the table is a combination of old bottles and vases which hold flowers as well as fig branches, bunches of cabbage leaves, and herbs.  Rustic boxes in different heights adds elevated interest and is a great place to set food for serving family style.  When it's time to eat, you can simply move the smaller vases & bottle out of the way to make room for the platters.

The sweets table is a lovely mix of cheese and fresh fruit, along with some Greek pastries - I just love this idea!  All the vintage pieces and props add much personality and charm to this table.  The entire party setting would be fantastic for a wine & cheese engagement party, a family reunion, or a special birthday

A LOVE Themed Bridal Shower

What is the most obvious underlying theme of a bridal shower?  Why it's Love, of course, and this "LOVE" themed shower is a wonderful reminder of that!!  The simplicity of the theme is carried out in the design which uses small wooden letters to spell out 'love' in several unexpected areas {placed on the doors}.

The antique rustic doors and spanish moss table 'runner' are the perfect counterpart to the delicate lace table topper, hanging circles, and baby's breath arrangements.  What a beautiful and budget-friendly way to decorate.
I have to admit seeing these sweet potato biscuits being served made me love this shower even more, as I grew up eating them at my grandmother's house.  In fact all the elements of this shower give me a real feeling of nostalgia, even though it's very modern in it's presentation.  "LOVE" it!!

Rustic Winter White Setting

Since it's the last day of February and hopefully Spring will be here sooner rather than later, I thought I'd pay homage to one of the snowiest winters I can remember, and share this inspiring Rustic Winter White setting.  This beautiful scene was designed by Jenny of Jenny Haas Photography and Ashley of Ashley Krogman Designs, and features some eclectic elements like owls, music papers, and paper rosettes in varying tones of white and beige.
The white themed dessert table is simple yet stunning and provides some nice inspiration for an ice cream sundae bar, I think {instead of snow cream serve ice cream}.  These rustic pieces could easily carry you into Spring and Summer when surrounded by green moss instead of snow.
This scenario would be so lovely for a milestone birthday or engagement party!
