Wonder Woman T-shirt Shaker

A friend of mine loves Wonder Woman, and we've had a lot of fun dressing up and being Wonder Crafting Friends. I was thinking of her when I made this shaker card with these great Wonder Woman papers.

I was originally inspired by this T-shirt die & stamp set from Stamps of Life; I especially like the sentiment, "BeYOUtiful." But then I ran across my long-hoarded WW papers and this happened!

Goofy Shaker

I finally got my Disney papers together and had to make a shaker card!

I made the shaker element from one sheet of patterned paper with balloon dies. I used adhesive foam & acetate from Recollections, and filled it with glass beads & star sequins.

The little mouse ears aren't just 3D, they're fuzzy! I typed up the sentiments using the Handwriting-Dakota font.

I used 3 different patterned papers; I used a double-side DP for the base (I couldn't neglect either these fun designs!); the frame on the front is cut using a papercutter and inked with black Memento ink for effect. Everything is edged with a black marker.

The polka-dot tape was on sale, couldn't resist! So glad I splurged; it brought the whole design together.

Who Are You? with the UnstampaBelles

Our theme this month at the UnstampaBelles challenge is Something Positive that Reflects Who You Are, with the optional twist of Bright Colors and/or explain a bit about yourself and why you created this piece in your journalling. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize. And remember, no stamps!

I created this silly card using paper "painted" by my 14-month-old son! The monkey is on an Action Wobble.

Here's my little artist at work!

A Batty Birthday -- Halloween at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Halloween.

My cousin's birthday is on Halloween, and I always have fun making her themed cards. For my birthday, a crafty friend gave me a bunch of Halloween stuff from Michael's. My cousin has a "wicked" sense of humor, so it worked perfectly!

Jet Spoon Birthday -- Things with Wings at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Things with Wings.

My mom gave my nine-month-old son a set of fun airplane-shaped spoons, and I couldn't resist using the packaging to make a card for her friend's great-grandson's first birthday!

I filled it with lots of microbeads & birthday-themed wood pieces. The frame border was hand drawn with a white gel pen.

I created the background by using the plastic packaging. I Inked the plastic in order to make a mask for the pop-up Jets, but I like the Technic so much I ended up using it to create my own background. I used to different blue distress inks.

Spin Your Spurs! Embossing at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Embossing (heat or dry).

The cowboy hat & banjo are cut/embossed with a Cuttlebug/Disney set. I used a two-toned Core'Dinations cardstock and sanded the raised section to reveal the peach color. The spurs are made with a copper paper. I created the "Spin Your Spurs" sentiment with the Rosewood font. The patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket and Graphic 45.

Cloud Shaker -- Monochrome at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Monochrome.

I used a cloud shape from my cutting software (SCAL) to create the card and cut it on my Cameo. The front is made with a white handmade paper that I die-cut with an Elizabeth Craft die. The cloud shaker is from Jillybean Soup and I filled it with flower sequins from Paper Sweeties. The bird stamp is from Artsy Fartsy, and the blue ink is Blueprint Sketch distress ink. The sentiment inside the shaker is heat-embossed in white. I'm really happy with this design, and may have to make it again!

Sweet Birthday Wishes at International Art & Soul

This fortnight at the International Art & Soul Challenge our challenge is Birthday.

I used the Hanging Charm Pull Tab die set from Karen Burniston/Elizabeth Craft Designs. The papers are from Authentique. The Cupcake stamp is from Pinkfresh Studio, and is part of a super-cute set I won at the Mesa Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. The silverware charms a from Bead Landing, and the pretty seam binding is from Paper Sweeties. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of printable acetate in StazOn ink, and colored in on the rough side with Copic markers. I added some Stickles to the frame, and put a message section on the back.

Happy Birthday to Ewe - Pilin' On the Circles

The theme this month at Pile It On is Circles. The only really rule is to be inspired by more than one papercrafting challenge. We're sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and I used their Birthday Ewe Circle Sentiment and Birthday Ewe Trio digital stamps.
I used neon papers with a black & white scallop-patterned designer paper (Hall Pass/American Crafts). I colored the images with Copic markers & added white Flowersoft.

Castles & Cake -- Special Folds at Crafting with Dragonflies

Our challenge this fortnight at Crafting with Dragonflies is Special Folds.

My dad just turned 81, and some of his favorite memories are working & traveling in Europe. I used dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Cuttlebug, Crafter's Companion, & Cheery Lynn Designs, and papers from Graphic 45 & Imaginisce.

Calla Lily Studio inspired me to try an Open center Box pop-up Card; we both used the tutorial from Maymay Made This. I modified the instructions to make a 6x6 card.

Primary Cake -- November with the UnstampaBelles

This month at the UnstampaBelles challenge we're All about the Cake! The optional twist is to use only Primary Colors. You can make whatever you like without using any stamps. You need to follow the twist to be considered as the DT Favorite, but you only have to follow main theme to win our prize.

I used the last of a sheet of Imaginisce DP for the banners and little candles; those little buggers took a while to fussy-cut, but it was worth it! Check out the little faces of some of them, too cute. I cut the pop-up cake on my Silhouette Cameo using an SVG/SCAL file I'd had for years. The blue background paper was dry-embossed with a Swiss Dots folder after cutting the middle out. I added the border on the message section with a red gel pen. The sentiment is cut with a Sizzix die from a polka dotted paper.

Inspiration/Challenges:
