Karen Burniston Designer Challenge
It's time again for the Karen Burniston Designer Challenge. This month we had a choice of two themes -- "AUTUMN or CHRISTMAS CHEER." I decided to choose "AUTUMN."
One of the new dies just released was the Postage Pop-up. I haven't used it much, so I decided to give it a little love today. On the front I just let some pretty fall leaves have center stage. I cut out the centers of the four "postage stamps" and let them show through. The sentiment is from a Simple Sentiments stamp set from Taylored Expressions.
But on the inside, I added some Thanksgiving symbols to the stamps. The simple pop-up box under that panel raises it up.
I think I used all the dies in the Autumn Elements set on that collage. The turkey on the smaller pop-up is from Feathered Animals. The "Happy Thanksgiving" is from Word Set 3 - Holiday.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you come back agin.

CCEE2230 - Butterflies
Frances starts her month as hostess for the CCEE Stampers by saying that butterflies seem to be very popular right now. Many companies have released products featuring them this year. She asked us to create a card that features one or more butterflies.
A few years ago, Stampin' Up released a huge butterfly stamp which I really like. I have used it many times. A favorite way to use it is to stamp it in white, emboss it, and then sponge a color on top -- wiping away the color from the white embossing. It looks quite striking, wouldn't you agree? The sentiment is a Simple Strips saying from Taylored Expressions.
On the inside of my card are some more butterflies on the relatively new smaller collage die from Karen Burniston.
Be sure to check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more butterflies.

CCEE2140 - Balloons Around the World Day
Who doesn't love balloons? Not Frances Byrne, who is this month's hostess for the CCEE Stampers. For her first challenge this month she asked the team to include a balloon or balloons on our cards to celebrate Balloons Around the World Day, which was October 5th.
I recently purchased a grab bag from Taylored Expressions. I had no idea what would be contained in the bag and was pleasantly surprised with this cute set, which contained a hot air balloon. Riding in a hot air balloon was one of the items I have checked off my bucket list.
Check out the CCEE Stampers blog to see how the rest of the team celebrated this fun special day.

CCEE2134 - Dog Day
For her final August challenge, Frances told the CCEE Stampers that today is Dog Day! For our challenge today, we were to include an image of a dog on our cards.
I believe the 101 Dalmatians are back for a second movie, so I pulled out the Kindred Stamps set called A Little Spotted for my card. I'm loving the Theater Fold die from Taylored Expressions, and it worked well for today's challenge.
Check out the CCEE Stampers blog for some more canine cards.

CCEE2131 International Beer Day
Frances Byrne started her month as hostess for the CCEE Stampers with a bang. She told us that tomorrow (Aug. 6th) is International Beer Day, so for our challenge today we were to include something beer or wine-related on our cards.
As it happens, I just bought a new Taylored Expressions stamp/die combo called Hoppy Days (get it, "hoppy"/"hops"/"beer." I combined it with the Karen Burniston "Cheers" sentiment die and Rockin' Rectangle die for this fun, interactive card. Another new purchase was that Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff that I used for the foam.
Be sure to stop over at the CCEE Stampers blog on your "beer run."

Scor-Pal "More Than One Score -- Patriotic
The 4th of July is right around the corner, so I made a patriotic card for this month's Scor-Pal "More Than One Score" challenge.
I recently purchased some patriotic stamps & dies from Taylored Expressions. After making my inverted Center Step Card, I added the "God Bless the USA" and small strip sentiments. I thought the addition of the acetate and patriotic stickers took this card over the top.
Be sure to check the Scor-Pal blog to see what the rest of the team did for July.
