In the process, it becomes a heart!

Look what I found! Another orange mushroom heart.

Orange Mushroom

I went for a short walk in the woods,
Now that the rain has stopped - for a few hours.

I found autumn.
Turning into winter.

Most of the colors were muted
greens, oranges, reds and browns.

I found this mushroom
In the middle of the path ...

Its color lured me first,
Then it's shape.

Buttons, flower and mushroom

I found these while cleaning out some boxes of old stuff. I don't think they make elegant buttons like this anymore - not that I've seen.

If you look very carefully, you can see that the raindrop caught in this tiny forget-me-not flower takes on the shape of a heart.

Can you stand another mushroom heart? I can!

Confused Mushroom

I found this fantastic mushroom in the woods yesterday. It looks to be trying to turn itself inside-out ... and creating a cute little heart in the process!

Or ... could it be that one of the forest fairies is growing a springtime party dress?

Tic Tac Toe Mushroom

I can't decide whether this mushroom heart is tempting me to stop and play a little word game, or if it harbors a hidden coded message! Wonder what it would be ... Don't step on me?
