Guest Heart Thursday #208

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

Judy captured my heart long ago with her incredible photography, and her blog, "Lilac Gate".

Earlier this week, Judy posted a bunch of pictures of her hoya plant which was "blooming its heart out". And if you look carefully at these floret clusters ... you will see several of the florets really do have hearts hiding right there in plain sight!!!

Thank you, Judy, for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who found hearts last week. I can't wait for you to link up today ... and show everyone the amazing hearts you found in your world this week!!!

A Heart For Alan and Beth

Because my camera was not cooperating with macros, Beth lent me her old one for a time (her sweetie Alan too, since it was now his!). I couldn't wait to start capturing the world close up again!

The first thing I did was go outside.

The wild cherry trees were in full and glorious bloom.
The sun was shining after weeks of wet.

When I got back inside, I found these two little sun reflection hearts on one of the first pictures I took. They didn't appear on any of the other shots!!!

Alan called the other day ...
He and Beth decided that I should keep the little camera.

Somehow I think the camera already knew!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #181

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

Leovi is one of my favorite artists ...
When you visit "Abstract Photos", you will see why!!!

Thank you, Leovi, for sharing the beauty of your art ...
And for sharing your heart!

When Laura sent me the link to Anna's blog, I was delighted to find this beautiful heart-shaped stone. Anna is from Sweden, and her blog, "Annas Vardag", is like going on a tour for me! I can't wait to spend more time in Sweden.

Thank you, Anna, for sharing your heart!
Thank you, Laura, for sending the link!

Another link Laura sent took me to this absolutely amazing cloud heart that Wanda posted on her blog, "Got a Minute or Two?" (Don't you just LOVE the name of her blog?)
I can't wait to spend more time at Wanda's place as well!

Thank you, Wanda, for sharing your heart!
Thank you again, Laura, for sending the link!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -

If you haven't met the beautiful and gentle spirit of Tammie Lee, then you've never visited "Spirithelpers". Tammie Lee is an incredible artist, who paints with both a brush and a camera lens. Through her canvases, her photos, her words and her soul - she brings joy and peace to my world.

Thank you, Tammie Lee, for sharing your heart!

I'm not sure how I ended up over at Kathy's blog, "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out".
(I think it was one of Debbie's posts and I followed a link!)

Kathy posts random bits and pieces of her life, and also hosts a fun meme - "Song-ography" - which she calls "a fun mash-up of photography and song titles"!

Do you see the heart in this GORGEOUS ocean shot?

There - do you see it now???

Isn't it simply adorable?

Thank you, Kathy, for sharing your heart!

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #172

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!
My apologies today ... I'm running late!

I just love it when my friends find hearts in the posts of THEIR friends - which is what happened when Cheryl ("March to March") sent me a link to "L and L Photography" - who had posted this beautiful owl ... apparently dozing in the barn. I have a special place in my heart for barn owls ... with their cute little heart-shaped faces!

Thank you, L and L Photography, for sharing your heart!
Thank YOU, Cheryl, for sending me the link!

I love this elegant heart leaf that Gillena found ... and posted on her blog, "Lunch Break". The colors are stunning - and not only is the leaf itself heart-shaped, but I can see several more hearts within the structure of the leaf!!!

Thank you, Gillena, for sharing your heart!
I can't wait to see more of your blog.

There are hearts hidden in Beth's beautiful artwork ... as well as a story about this adorable owl's oh-so-very-blue eyes!

Check out "Beth's Artworx" to find out more!!!

Thank you, sissie, for sharing your heart!

When Sissie posted this amazing muddy heart on her blog, "Expect the Unexpected", I was in awe. What a perfect heart!

Thank you, again, sissie, for sharing your heart!

Not to be outdone, my little niece (whom I love to call "Honey Heart") found this beautiful heart of light ... which she likened to a "kiss from an angel" ... wow.
Thank you, dear "Honey Heart", for sharing YOUR heart ...
Thank you, Sissie, for inspiring and encouraging her to do so!
As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #166

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I'm baaaack!!!

Sissie delivered my "new" computer over the weekend, and just in time! My old one finally ground to a near-halt, and I just couldn't use it. I am still on a "learning curve" with this one, as it is a different operating system (and I am chagrined to admit I am "technologically challenged") ... but I am slowly getting the hang of it.

The only problem is ...

Because I spent so much time, er, "playing", I didn't have time to contact the wonderful people I wanted to feature this week - all of whom were links shared by one person ... and all of whom have specific copyright requirements that I ALWAYS try to honor.

But will I let that stop me? NO!
Because there are some wonderful hearts out there - and I can't wait for you to see them! It will just require a little more work on your part.

With that being said, I start out with ...

Texwisgirl - over at "The Run*Around*Ranch Report" - because she is the one who sent me the heart links that follow!
When you visit her blog on the page I have linked, scroll down to the 7th and 8th photos of this gorgeous waved sphinx month ... it's shaped like a heart!

Thank you so much, Texwisgirl, for sharing your heart!

♥♥♥

The first link Texwisgirl sent that I want to share is

"Slackwater - Don" - who posted this gorgeous flower, with a red heart near the center!

Thank you, Don, for sharing your heart!

 ♥♥♥

Next is

Ron managed to "capture" one of the most beautiful heart flowers I've seen!

Thank you, Ron, for sharing your heart!

♥♥♥

When I visited Gail over at "Louisiana Belle", I couldn't believe the gorgeous heart she found ... when you visit, scroll down to the 6th picture ... the one with the nutria swimming ... do you see the perfect heart in front of its nose?

Thank you, Gail, for sharing your heart!

I want to give a special "Thank You" to all of you who have stuck with me during my computer woes ... and especially my absence from Blogland last week. I can't wait to see the hearts you found while I was away!!!

A special thank you goes to my sissie - Beth. Without the donation of her old (still good!) computer, I am back in business!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #157

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I just know when Texwisgirl sends me a link ... that I will find a special heart.

Well in this case I found two!

Plus I got to visit Arizona on a road trip with Deanna via her blog, "A Photographic Journal".
There, I saw a bunch of hearts in this delicate spring wildflower.

And THEN ...

I saw the twin hearts Deanna found in the tail feathers of this beautiful cactus wren ...

And all I can say is WOW.

Thank you, Deanna, for sharing your heart!
Thank you, again, Texwisgirl, for sharing the link!

 When Hearts Collide
No one knows the time or place
When two hearts beat as one
But know this Truth that it is so
Just as the rays of sun

Reaching deep into the soul
It warms the places there
A brighter sky and dancing clouds
All suddenly aware
Moonbeams grace the evening sky
Feelings will not subside
All that you see and feel right now
You know that hearts collide

People search a lifetime
For such a dream to come
So when it does please cherish it
When two hearts beat as one

Nina P.

Nina P is a poet.
Her words make me smile.
And cry.
And touch a chord deep in my heart.

Thank you, dear friend, for sharing your heart!

Guest Heart Thursday #154

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I will always be thankful that I met Susannah through her blog, "Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds)".

Susannah taught me to see the tiny beauty that surrounds me ... to flip over a rock and document what lives there ... to appreciate nature even more fully.

Sussannah posted this picture sometime ago, calling these "angry pansies".
They do look kind of angry, don't they?
They also have hearts!

Susannah also posted this amazing shot of an anemone.
Do you see the tiny shell heart near the top?

Thank you, Susannah, for sharing your hearts!

Laura's rock and leaf heart stole MY heart.
I am in awe of this shot!

Laura is one of the most amazing people I've had the privilege of calling "friend".

When you read her blog, "Shine the Divine: Creativity IS a Spiritual Practice", you will know why I love her!

Thank you, Laura, for sharing your heart!

Pamela sent me this heart in an e-mail - she hasn't posted to her blog, "Dum Spiro Spero" in a long time.
She found this heart in a cypress knee at the Francis Beidler Audubon Swamp in Harleyville, SC.
And I am in awe.
Thank you, again, Pamela, for sharing your heart!

Guest Heart Thursday #142

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I hope your Christmas was full of joy and peace -
And that you are looking forward to a brand new year -
Full of the same!!!
Because this is the season of FAMILY, I have chosen to spotlight one of my own today!
These are hearts from my sissie Beth ...

Beth's blog, "The Abandoned", documents the haunting beauty, and slow destruction of the once-abandoned megachurch complex near where we grew up.

We love to walk in the ruins, and the beautiful woods nearby.

Along the way, we find hearts!

Beth is an incredible artist - I especially love her whimsical "doodles".
You can check out her talent and imagination on her art blog -

Beth and I both love to collect postcards - and I especially love it when she posts ones with hearts!

Beth posts these beauties on her blog, "The Best Hearts Are Crunchy" - and also hosts the wonderful meme "Postcard Friendship Friday"!

With her eye for beauty, Beth often takes photographs that leave me breathless.
Like this beautiful glowing heart cloud ... with what our family likes to call "glory light" spilling out.

You can find this, and other AMAZING photos over at Beth's "Expect the Unexpected".

When you visit Beth over at "Geometric" - you will be amazed and intrigued by the many shapes she finds in the natural world around her.
What an eye!!!

Thank you , dear sissie, for sharing your heart.
For sharing your beauty.
For sharing your soul.

As always - a huge thank you to all who linked up with Guest Heart Thursday last week. I loved seeing the delightful and amazing hearts you found in your world!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #127

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!
(I am going to be gone for the day today ... for the first time in several years I get to spend the day at the beach ... if you have ever read my sidebar you will know it's my favorite place in the world. I hope to return tonight with a new-found peace, tranquility, heart and lots of sand in my shoes! I will visit you all tomorrow - I can't wait to see the hearts you found in YOUR worlds this week!)

Brianne's journal makes me smile ... and fills me with a desire to capture my own thoughts ...
Her blog, "This is My Offering" fills me with joy and peace.
I love to visit ... and stay a while.

Thank you, Brianne, for sharing your heart!

Theresa's heart made me smile as well. What a rare find!
Is that a watermelon heart?

Theresa shares bits and pieces of her life on her blog, "All Things Old and New" ... with a wonderful and fresh perspective of life.

Thank you, Theresa T, for sharing your heart!

P.S. - Thank you for saving the honeybees' dandelions, er, lawn!

Texwisgirl did it again ... this time the link she sent was for this awe-inspiring hawk posted by Forest Snapper on his blog, "My Photos..."

If you click on this picture to enlarge the shot, you will see the most amazing hearts on this magnificent bird's chest feathers.
And all I can say is "WOW".

Thank you, Forest Snapper, for sharing your heart!
Thank you, AGAIN, Texwisgirl, for sharing the link!

Isn't this one of the most welcoming of doors - with hearts in the window?

This is a postcard submitted by Lostforwords on her blog, "Connections to the World".

I love how she provided the wonderful background for this postcard -

Guest Heart Thursday #126

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!

I love to hang out over at "Tina's PicStory's" place ...

Tina amazes and inspires me!!!
I especially love the hearts she finds in her world.

Thank you, Tina, for sharing your heart!

I love the pictures Beth shares on her blog, "Expect the Unexpected".

Beth is an incredible artist as well ... and she often hides hearts in her drawings.
You can find her beautiful artwork over at "Beth's Artworx".

Thank you, sissie, for sharing your heart!

I love visiting Lisbon ...
Especially when I get to see it's beauty through the eyes and camera of JM of "Oeiras and environs daily photo". I love the buildings he frequently features - especially when they have hearts in their windows!!!

Thank you, JM, for sharing your heart!

I had to gasp when I saw this deer racing through Roan's blog, "Rubbish by Roan".

Do you see the heart?
It's in the little puff of dust the deer is kicking up!!!

Thank you, Roan, for sharing your heart!

Susannah posted another picture that made me gasp.
Look at those hearts on the anemone tentacles!!!
And did you know this Sunday, September 9th, is
INTERNATIONAL ROCK FLIPPING DAY???

If you haven't heard about this wonderful and fun way to get out and discover your world -- check out Susannah's blog, "Wanderin' Weeta (With Waterfowl and Weeds)"!

Then get out there on Sunday and FLIP OVER A ROCK!!!

Guest Heart Thursday #124

Welcome to Guest Heart Thursday -
A Place to Share YOUR Heart!
Today I am sharing some of the incredible hearts found by Bhavesh Chhatbar.
After all, Bhavesh is a huge part of the story of how Guest Heart Thursday came to be!

I want to explore this winding road ...
And explore this part of India ...
That Bhavesh shares on his BLOG ... with his incredible photos.

If only to find a heart tree like Bhavesh did.
Do you see it? Just to the left of the road?

Everybody is a star ... with heart.
At first I didn't see the hearts; I was star-struck, I guess.
Then I looked closer, and these beautiful star leaves are full of them!!!

I love this photo of a stray dog Bhavesh took.
There is a heart around it's eye!
Incredible.

And this pink geranium heart ... stole MY heart!

But you must be wondering ... what is Bhavesh's part in Guest Heart Thursday?

Well ... back when Random Hearts was a brand new blog, I happened upon a beautiful heart shaped leaf ... Bhavesh had posted it on his Blog.
(I didn't have time to go back and find the actual picture, but it really is a gorgeous leaf!)

It was such a beautiful heart ... I asked Bhavesh if I could re-post it on Random Hearts.
He said yes.

And Guest Heart Thursday was born.

So I say, with all my heart, THANK you, Bhavesh, for sharing your HEARTS!!!
(Hi Megha!)
