~Bridal Shower Wishes

Last weekend Kirsten and I went to my sister Kim's best friend Tanya's bridal shower!  It was a wonderful day full of fun and laughter!!  

I have made the wedding invitations for Tanya and am making all of the wedding day paper goodness as well!  So I thought it would be fitting to make her a card featuring her wedding colors.

I thought this cute doily dress would work perfectly and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  Along with yesterday's card, this one was also made featuring a sketch from last week- Sweet Sketch Wednesdays to be exact.  I loved the layout and it worked well with what I was making:-)

Happy long weekend (Labor Day here in Canada).  We start school on Tuesday,  but first we are headed to Medicine Hat for the weekend.  Lance has 2 ropings to attend and Landon is roping at his first kids dummy roping...he's super excited:-)

**Wedding Ensemble**

I don't have a card to share today as I have been busy trying to get the programs for Kristy's wedding done...but I do have a picture of the finished programs! 20 are totally done with the rest just waiting for ribbon and flowers!!

I now have all 75 ready for ribbon and flowers, finally! It didn't seem like that much work until you have to sit and get everything cut out! Each program has 4 staggered layers and then tucked inside the shimmery grey cs, 2 ribbons wrapped around the front and then the flower with pearl center in the middle. Here are the programs...

only 20 done so far....55 to go!!

Thank you card...still need 50 of these hummers...

the invites...I know I already showed these but just wanted to show them again with everything else that is all matchy match!


I am really proud of how they turned out, they really are so pretty IRL!

I have some picts of the kiddos riding with Lance the other night and will post them tomorrow!

Kristy & Jason's Wedding Invitations

Wow, it is absolutely crazy how fast this week off school is going. Kirsten goes back on Monday, but only for 1 day. The kindergarten is moving into the brand new part of the "big" school, so they will be moving the classroom and such on Wed and then it's her Friday off.

My sister Kristy and my sister Kim are coming out tomorrow along with Kristy's friend Rhiannon whose also the maid of honor for her wedding and we are going to get her invitations done.

This is what I came up with and after some tweaking of the initial design, this is the finished product.


The Reply card and envelope go inside under the band and it all fits nicely in a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" envelope.


Love the shimmery grey paper, it is metallic and so pretty. I colored the Michael's Bridal flowers with my Copic marker to get the shade we wanted and attached the pearls. The Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla cardstock and ribbon is all from SU!

I probably won't be back until maybe Sunday. Lance helped me move in my Expedit unit from Ikea last night, so my craft room is a disaster...although I do need to get the rest finished tonight so that we can get to everything we need for our wedding invite assembly tomorrow, so hopefully I will have a chance to get something made. So many super fun challenges out there and never enough time in the day!
