New Use Your Stuff Challenge - Tic Tac Toe

We're back today on the Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog with a new challenge and this time we've got a tic tac toe board for you!

You need to pick three in a row for your project AND you must tell us which line you've used.

I used flower - butterfly - any shade of purple.

Have a look here on the challenge blog for more details and to see the projects from the rest of the team.

To make my card I used a new stamp set from Visible Image called Butterfly Effect.

I applied Shaded Lilac Distress Ink to my card panel using my blending brush and then overstamped in the same colour using one of the background stamps from the set.

I stamped the butterfly onto the panel and then again on white card.  I coloured the second image with Gorgeous Grape ink from Stampin' Up and then attached it back on the panel with tape and foam pads.

I added one of the sentiments, matted the panel on to black paper and then added the flower to the top of the butterfly's body.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Dream Valley Challenges - use your favourite colours (purple/lilac and black)

New Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Use a Transparent Element

Our new challenge this week on the Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Blog is to use a 'transparent element'.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

I'm sharing one of the projects I made at a workshop last weekend with Visible Image stamps.  The projects we made were something completely different for me but I ended up loving them!

This project was made using one of Visible Image's MDF monoliths.  We attached a piece of card to the front and back and using gilding wax around the edges and on the base.   We used Distress Ink on the card and then overstamped with the sentiment from the 'Live in the Moment' stamp set.

The dragon fly from the same set was stamped on acetate and then coloured with alcohol markers - it is attached on to the monolith using gel glue.  Finally we stamped the sentiment again on the panel at the moment of the monolith.

Less is More - "Predominantly Purple"

This week there's a colour challenge at Less is More and it's "predominantly purple".

I've used two stamps from Visible Image - the floral boxes and the 'friendship' word stamp which was part of the latest club set.  To stamp these I used a Purple Twilight Adirondack ink pad and then I layered the image panel with some Bazzill cardstock.  To finish, I added two purple nail heads.

Only Words

This month's challenge on the Just Tracys Challenge Blog is 'sentiments' so I decided to use one of the stamps I received recently from Visible Image - I'm a member of their monthly club so I receive a stamp and project sheet each month.  The scroll border is another stamp - I stamped it above and below and sentiment.  The background paper is from DoCrafts - the Hanoverian collection which I really love.
