12 Days of Christmas Tags Series; Day Two

Day Two and these are easy ones. Super cute, but easy. I stamped and die cut these simple gingerbread men and women. I also used my Creative Memories circle cutter to cut three different size circles to stack on top of each other.

I swear that I'll use the paper scraps generated from those for another project soon! You gotta hold me to it!

Watch the YouTube process video for more details:

Be sure to leave a comment here, YouTube, Instagram and/or Facebook to gain an entry on my giveaway. At the end of the series, each comment will be an entry in the drawing.  The winner will get one set of all 12 tags made this year.

If you're interested in seeing the tags from previous years, click on the label to the right.

How cute is this gate fold binding fun fold card? The cute crow wasn't even supposed to be the focal image on it. Lol

Glittery Holiday Card

Oh, how I love a glittery holiday! I played with a watercolor look when using a Kaisercraft ornament stamp from Jenlee Schoolcraft website. Scroll down for a coupon code when purchasing items from her website.

The YouTube video is a must watch as I pull out all the sparkly stuff for this one.

The added flat back snowflakes by Dress It Up to give this card even more sparkly!

Create It Three Ways

Hi there. I'm participating in an Instagram hop called Create It Three Ways. We basically create cards using the same products but three different ways.

I'm using an old Stampin Up! stamp set with fall images. Before I start stamping them to the card fronts, I'll create masks for them. This makes it easier to stack the images on top of each other without the other images showing.

Watch the process as I try to explain that.

I am coloring them three different ways using three different coloring medium.

Aren't they so pretty?!?

National Holidays IG Hop

I try to participate in IG, blog and/or YouTube hops as much as possible. On IG, I have joined some amazing card makers in monthly National Holiday hops.

This month there is a holiday for sandwiches, happy hour and fast food to name a few.

Here are the cards I created.

Can you guess which card is for which holiday?

I don't always post on my blog so follow me on my instagram account.  @3sons_and_astar

Alcohol Marker Coloring

If you're like me, we're not great at all the detailed coloring. Look... I just want something pretty without too much work.

On September 6th, it's National Read a Book Day so I created this card with that in mind. The stamp set is an oldie from CTMH called, In a Book.

It's a great set if you can find one.

Check out my quick YouTube video on how I colored the image!

Torn Paper Scenic Cards

I'm participating in a IG hop where we use the same product, technique or style three different ways.  I'm using the Friendly Seagulls set from Stampin Up and a card sketch from Stick It Down.

I've wanted to try the torn paper look for awhile and when I saw the sketch, I was inspired to try it. I love how the cards turned out!

Each one is unique even though I used the same technique and products!

Check out the YT video for the process:

Sizzix Sidekick and Dies Challenge; Three

Hey there! Not only are these cards fulfilling my Sizzix Sidekick challenge but also the Create Three Ways IG challenge. The IG challenge is to take one item and create three different cards using it.

I used the Hello Puddles stamp and die set to make 3 cute Get Well cards:

FSJ is no longer in business but that doesn't mean you can't make a similar card. There is a process video so you can see how two of these were created. Here's a hint, I used stencils, vellum, and a circle punch.

Check it out:

And don't forget about the IG hop to see what others created! My IG is @3sons_and_astar

Cookie Board

I’m showing off something a little different today. I made a cookie board for my work holiday luncheon and I decided to film it. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve fallen in love with charcuterie boards and have made some really nice ones!

I don’t always post on my blog, but I always post on my Instagram account. Find me @3sons_and_astar

Here’s some photos but make sure you watch the video!

No need to shop at fancy stores. I bought all these at my neighborhood grocery stores.

Flora & Fauna; Rediscover Your Stash IG Hop

Hi there, I joined a new FaceBook group called Rediscover Your Stash and decided to join their IG Hop this Friday. For November, the stash to bash is flora and fauna.

I don't use a lot of florals in my scrapbooking so I didn't have lots of flowers to bash, but I did have these photos of the girls at the poinsettia farm in 2021. So I searched for anything poinsettia in my  Christmas embellishment tin.

I found these and some random Christmas trees. Yup, that works! Add some enamel dots and it's all good!

I used a solid green cardstock for the layout base and some Christmas paper scraps for the two strips of paper. There are so many photos on this layout that I really didn't need much as far as paper and/or embellishments. I hand wrote the title "Poinsettia Farm" on the upper right corner with a black pen mostly because I was too lazy to get my letter stickers or use the Cricut!

I'll have this layout on my IG account @3sons_and_astar and the other IG account participantss so you can follow the hop.

Hot Ones Layout

One of the best things about scrapbooking is you get to relive your memories. This day was so hilarious as my family decided to do the hot ones challenge. This layout is the companion page to a layout I did earlier and because I took so many photos, I'm going to use a pocket page protector to add all the rest.

I used the Freaky Fast Friday October formula from The Scrap Room. I follow them on IG.

I had some trouble with figuring out the pieces, which is so fun about these challenges, but I ended up just placing them down wonky. I love how I was able to put all the things on this layout...title, journaling block, embellishments and SIX photos!

Here's another look at the layout.

You can get the cuts from my Cricut Design Space file HERE. Be sure to check out the YT process video:
