12 Days of Christmas Tags Series 2024; Day One

It's that time of the year! I started early this month so you can actually use the gift tags this year. Be sure to comment on each blog post, IG post and YT video for chances to win one set of the 12 tags. I'll gather & draw a name at the end of the series and select one winner!

For tag ONE, I pulled out my Cricut and a cute SVG file I purchased from WilderCrafting on Etsy. We're huge Harry Potter fans so when I saw this, I knew I had to have it and make some cute gift tags with it!

I punched a hole in the top to add baker's twine and a jingle bell. I also stamped a "to/from" on the snowman's belly. It is afterall, a gift tag!

Watch the video on how I put it together using my Glue Precision Press.

Love Never Dies Cup; Jack & Sally

I have received lots of orders this month for T-shirts, cards, cups and water bottle stickers. I love the orders, but it's been a lot.

I created this special request and just love how it turned out.  After adjusting the image to the correct size, I attached the words to the yellow layer of the SVG. By using Attach in Design Space, it cuts through the image that it's attached to. In this case, the yellow layer of this SVG.

My youngest granddaughter is obsessed with Jack & Sally so I can't wait to make a shirt for her. Honestly, I should have made a couple more of these cups because I love it so much!

I purchased the SVG from MagicalCutStore on Etsy.  Just to clarify, the SVG did not include the words "Love Never Dies", I added them in Design Space before cutting.

The cups are from Cups 4 Us. I love supporting small businesses and she has a great variety of cups + lots of free SVG files on her site as well.

Mixed Media Tag

Hubby and I are visiting my sister and mother in Tucson, Arizona. I know you're thinking why would anyone go and visit Arizona in the summer...we're here to give my sis a break while watching mom. We are experiencing high temps but also monsoons. Even as I'm typing this, it is raining hard with thunder and lightening outside. We even experienced a sand/dust storm. Now that was eerie!

I brought along some crafty supplies and my sis has some supplies here too. I had some downtime and decided to make (and film) a mixed media tag. I started out thinking I was going to make a card, but it turned into a tag and I just love it!

Check out the process video here - you even get to see me on this one!

Here are some photos of the final project:

I love how fun this was working with limited supplies and tools. It took a turn from "wasn't sure if I liked it" to "love it!"

Card Goal Update; Weeks 22 - 28 & TGIF; Thankful Friday #137

My card box is thinning out! I donated 26 cards to Scrapbook.com on their cards for kindness drive. (If you're interested in contributing to this drive, check out my earlier post HERE.) That helped a lot, but I'm still making cards and sending them out.  Woo Hoo!

I've been gathering cards based on the occasions that I prepare for and put them aside to send out weekly. By the end of the time period, I not only send out the predesignated cards, but also other cards as reasons come up. So for Set 3, I gathered the following cards:

Week 22: RAK to Bianca; Get Well to a coworker
Week 23: Stacey's Birthday; DS2 Graduation; Thank You
Week 24: Father's Day and Thinking of You to a friend (she had surgery)
Week 25: Oops! Skipped this week by accident
Week 26: Just Because to my friend Katie and birthday card to a friend's son
Week 27: Thank You card for a friend
Week 28: Nephew Marcus' Birthday

And additional cards that I sent during this timeframe:
My granddaughter made this card with a little help from the Circuit. To be fair, I did not send it, she did, but I thought it was worth adding to the weekly card list! (Her cousin, my niece broke her leg hence the crutches.)
This was made using the Elements 1
stamp set from Bloom Art
This was on a YouTube Video

If you are interested in receiving a handmade card from me, let me know.

This is also my TGIF; Thankful Friday post. This week I'm thankful that I'm sending these cards out. It's been great hearing from people that have been blessed by handmade cards. I'm having a lot of fun with this! Many are being encouraged to start sending their own cards (and many have purchased cards from me). Although selling them was not my intention, but hey...a little bit of green never hurt anyone.

WOYWW #562

It’s good to know with all the closures, shut downs and shelter in place going on around us, the WOYWW is still here. We’ll always have our work desks to share with others.

Here’s my desk this morning:
I’m so excited because I ordered cards from my original art and they came in yesterday afternoon. My only regret is that they come standard in matte finish but I didn’t realize it. I like them in glossy. I plan to take lots of photos and add them to my Etsy store soon.

Have a great week amongst all the chaos. Stay safe and healthy and don’t forget to click on over to Stamping Ground to link up your own work area.

TGIF; Thankful Friday #97

Happy Friday!

Wow! I had a great week. I had two - yes, I said TWO - ETSY orders this week.  WOO HOO! I had a ladies' night out on Wednesday with coworkers, lunch with my bestie and passed my daughter in our Summer Reading Marathon competition.

So what am I thankful for this week? This week I'm thankful that I'm happy. I know that sounds kinda lame, but I really am happy. Is my life perfect...heck no! But I'm blessed and that's how I chose to view my life. Good, Bad and Ugly, I still choose to be happy.

What are you thankful for this week? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear all about it.

More Cards in the Etsy Shop

I added some more cards to my Etsy Shop. I made these beauties awhile ago but finally got around to adding them to the shop.

These are standard sized note cards that are blank inside to personalize yourself. The quality of these cards are fabulous! They are copies of my original mixed media art put on high quality, heavy weight, glossy cardstock.

If you're interested in these cards, check out my Etsy Shop. Click on the Etsy icon to the right.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Etsy & Mixed Media

I love making cards with my original mixed media pieces. These photo cards are made by taking a photo of my pieces and then sending them out to be printed.

This gives me more usage of my artwork. I absolutely LOVE how they turn out and they are such great quality too.

Check out a few of the cards that are in my Etsy Store, ThreeSonsandAStar.  You can get there by clicking on the ETSY icon on the right or the link above.

Check out my store to see more cards, mini scrapbook albums and 12x12 layouts. I'm adding new listings weekly.

The shop name is "ThreeSonsandAStar".

2018 is going to be my most creative year yet, I just know it!
