I made a X-Fold card for the Month Of Holiday Cards challenge at Beccy's Place.  Then a few days later the prompt for the Butterfly Challenge came out as X as well.  Since I had just completed one, I decided to create another one while the construction method was fresh in my mind.

I have used images from Beccy's Place, Limited Runs, Bugaboo, Melonheadz and QKR Stampede for this card (I've listed source in the order that they appear above).  All the sentiments except the last one are from Beccy's Place.  The last sentiment is from QKR Stampede.

I used a combination of red and green pre-embossed cardstock for the images and sentiment panels.  The triangular panels are patterned paper from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  I embellished the triangular panels with christmas tree and christmas present stickers.

I added a big ribbon that I purchased from one of the Japanese Dollar Stores that we have in NZ.

Simple Things

This fortnight's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs has a theme of Back To School.  The challenge is sponsored by Little Blue Button and Cute As A Buttton.

I also added some digital embellishments from Computer Scrapbook.  The background paper is from Lozzy and the sentiment is from Melonheadz.

I have used an image from Melonheadz cut into a tag shape.  I coloured with a combination of copic markers, Wink Of Stella (yellow) and Spectrum Sparkle (red, blue and green).  I added some fibres through the tag.

Sparkle and Shine at Incy Wincy Designs

This fortnight at Incy Wincy Designs the theme is Sparkle and Shine and we are sponsored by Melonheadz and Sasayaki Glitter.

I used a set from Melonheadz called 12 Days of Christmas and created a two side accordian spread:

I also used green cardstock for the base.  I cut left over pieces of patterned paper for each month.  The images were coloured with copic markers and Kindy Glitz.  I added a few shiny stickers as well.

I have used a paper, border and sentiment from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Melonheadz and die-cut into a tag shape.  I inked around the edges of the tag with Distress Ink - Ripe Persimmon and then added some bakers twine.  I also added some pearls coloured with copic marker YR07 to the border.

I have used a patterned paper from Kaisercraft for this card.  The image is from Melonheadz.  Because of the shape of the image, I was inspired to cut it into a tag shape.  The ring re-inforcer is part of the die set.

I have used a paper from Rosie's Studio for this card.  I started off looking for a yellow one but as soon as I saw this one I knew it was purrfect (sorry couldn't resist!).  The image is from Aurora Wings and coloured with copic markers E53, E51. Y000, Y38.  The sentiment is from Melonheadz and I added some Stickles - Gold to the heart.  Die-cutting is with two Spellbinders dies from the same set.  I added some glitter domes which I coloured with copic marker E53 as well as some Stickles to the cat and bird.

Toad-ally Unfrogettable!

It's time for another challenge at Scribbles Designs.  This month we are celebrating Frogs. There is one in particular who is dear to our hearts.  His name is Carl, and he is a bit of a suave character.  So, this month we pay homage to Carl and all the other amphibians out there. It is time to dust off those lily pads and make a creation with a toad or frog as part of the design.   Hop to it!   We know you'll come up with something completely unforgettable!

I have used a music themed paper from a paper pad for the background.  The image is Carl Fretted from Scribbles Designs.  I have added a musically themed sentiment from Melonheadz.  Colouring on both the sentiment and image is copic markers.  I also added some rhinestones from Rosies Studio and some green glitter tape from American Crafts.

I bought some new paper pads from Kaisercraft  which arrived today.  I have used two papers and a border strip from the "Summer Breeze" pad for this card.  The sketch that I have followed is Sketch #83 (although under the sketch it says #82 it saves as #83 - not sure how the numbering seems to have got skewed along the way!).   Anyway, it is a Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch.

The image is from Melonheadz.  I have had these images for a while and not quite found the right papers to work well with them.  There are a few others in the series that I have yet to use but I decided I quite liked the pizza one for this card.    Matting is some left over green cardstock from another project.

I have used white cardstock as the base of the tag.  The image is from Melonheadz and the sentiment from Trimgym.  I have edged the tag with Distress Ink - Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.  I used a Carl Craft circle punch to cut the eyelet out.  I threaded orange and yellow organza ribbon through the tag.  Colouring is done with copic markers YR07, YR04, Y06, Y38, Y35, YG11 and then added some Glossy Accents to the centre of the flower.
I also added a strip of washi tape across the tag as a finishing touch.

Back to School

I had intended doing the challenge at Sentimental Sundays last week when it was sponsored by Bugaboo but somehow I just ran out of time.  When I saw this challenge, I decided I had to finish it this time!

I have used background paper from Scraps N Pieces.  It worked perfectly with the image that I had chosen to use.

The image is from Papers and Prints and is called School Girl.  I have coloured her using copics and die-cut with a Spellbinders Oval Die.

The word art is from Melonheadz and I added a little colour using copic markers.  There was a colour version available but I wanted to match the colours to the background paper.

The sentiment is from Oak Pond Creations.  I have die-cut this with a Spellbinders banners die to give it a bit more of a school look.
