Manly Monday Blues and Greens Christmas card

The background paper is by Stampin Up. I dry embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug. Then I lightly inked the raised area with distress ink. The plaid background stamp is by Just Rite stamps. I inked it with a bunch of different ink colors because I was testing the ink pads on a mint colored cardstock and ended up liking it. I inked the edges before taping it down.
The tree stamp is by Cloud Nine. I stamped and colored it in with Peerless Watercolors. After that, it was off to the die cut using a Spellbinders die. I inked blue to look like the sky and then Stickles to look like snow.

Manly Monday Deep Red Stamps Woodgrain

I made these cards using the Deep ReD stamps
I heat embossed the weathered wall stamp. I had to stamp it twice to fit on the cardstock. I used my MISTI and I was successful. I used Peerless Watercolors to color in the cornucopia.
They are so messy because I kept falling asleep while painting these. I would wake up and the paintbrush would be in the wrong spot for that color or on the outside of the image. I used paper towels to get rid of the access but it didn't always save the image. Oh well. I think they still look nice...from a distance. lol

The red border and brown border sticker are by Creative Memories and Yellow unknown.

The border die is by Tim Holtz

This is the size of the weathered wall stamp and the size of the cardstock. You can tell that the MISTI really came through for me when it came to perfectly lining up the image.

Thank you for looking.
Here are a few previous posts that go along with these two.

Manly Monday Golf club Bags and club image Cards

The golf bag stamp is by Great Impressions. Colored in with Peerless Watercolors. Die-cut from an eBay die and inked inside with distress ink. Border stamp by TPC Studio that was white heat embossed. Embossing folder by Cuttlebug that was inked with distress ink on an ombré of blues. All of this is on a kraft colored cardstock

I colored this image with Copic markers and used Sizzix dies to cut it out. The grass border sticker is by K and Co. The patterned paper is from my stash. The label is by Close to my Heart and I tried to stamp the word Fore! in there and it didn’t turn out well.

Green Peerless Watercolor background with butterfly

Thanks for coming to see my new card today.
I did two pictures of the same card to show the colors of the green background in a different light.

The sentiment is by Die-Versions
The background is a negative of a Spellbinders die. I used Peerless waters colors to create the green on watercolor paper by Ranger.

The die-cut butterfly is transparent and from K and Co. I ran it through my Xyron sticker maker.

Manly Monday Deep Red Stamps Big! Elephant Card

This is one of those labor of love cards. It's also a see if I could do it and make it look like I envisioned it cards.
Results-I love the way it turned out.
Start with a 5 ½ x 4 white card base (Recollections) and adhere to it white cardstock that has been embossed with a Darice embossing folder and inked with distress ink (Ranger).

Stamp African Elephant by Deep Red Stamps with Hero Arts black ink onto Strathmore watercolor cardstock. Color in with Peerless watercolors. Stamp elephant onto patterned paper (Me and My Big Ideas) to act as a mask. Cut the pieces surrounding the elephant image. Adhere those pieces around the elephant and rip the bottom edges at the grass line.
Elephant stamp is on sale at Scrapbook.com.

Before adhering the image to the card base, run vellum sentiment through a Xyron Create a Sticker (Model 150) and adhere to the left side of card. Adhere image and add letter stickers (Stickopotamus).

I know I said this above but this close up may give you a better idea of what I did.
I cut out the paper between the legs and blended it into the stamped image by roughing up the bottom of the patterned paper and inking it with Mowed Lawn distress ink.
I traced the edges of the elephant with a black pen by Creative Memories.

Corrugated Flower Cards

I made these cards for a swap with the theme to use something corrugated. They turned out kind of cool.

I'm adding this card because it uses the same flower stamp just a little bit different color. I made the purple background using Strathmore watercolor cardstock and Peerless Watercolors. The colors I used were; mauve, heliotrope and amethyst, I then die cut the center with a Spellbinders die Label 4. The flower stamp and die are the same as above. The sentiment stamp is by Forever in Time that I stamped with Ranger purple ink. The dragonfly is a brad from my stash.

Lawn Fawn Cats and Dogs Cards

Two cards today using Lawn Fawn stamps. The dog, bird, cat, and butterfly were all stamped onto Ranger's watercolor paper and then die cut out with the matching dies. I used Peerless watercolors to color them in. I made the dog sentiment with Harold ABC's onto a Spellbinders die. I inked the white card base with blue distress ink to create the sky. I made the hills with some leftover patterned paper by Recollections and cardstock by Stampin Up.

Here are 2 other cards with this dog stamp

Manly Monday Blue Shirt

Manly Monday card today with a birthday card. I started with a white card base and adhered red cardstock to it. The blue patterned paper (Provo Craft) was cut down smaller than the base and inked with blue distress ink before adhering to the front.

I die cut the pennants from the Cricut and layered the blue on top of the red. I took some grey ribbon and wrapped it around as shown just for something different before adhering it to the front. I stamped the shirt (Unity Stamp Co) onto Strathmore watercolor paper with Hero Arts black ink and again onto a scrap of grey patterned paper (Unknown). I colored inside the shirt with blue Peerless watercolors and the outside edges a red.

While that was drying, I fussy cut the shirt from the grey paper on the inside which would leave a hole for the blue shirt to shine through. I did take a black marker and touch up the edges on the inside of the grey paper. I adhered all of those together and found this sentiment that was already stamped in my pile.

Here's how I did the paper piecing.

Thank You Background Card

I've used this background stamp multiple times and have had great results with each color combo. We need to try new color combos to really explore all the options that you may be missing.
I heat embossed a background stamp by Hero Arts with Versa Mark ink and clear embossing powder onto Ranger's watercolor paper. I pulled out the Peerless water colors and the Ranger water pen to mix the colors into the floral pattern. After it dried I trimmed it down and matted some purple cardstock behind it. I used the same purple cardstock for the sentiment (stamp and black ink by Hero Arts). There's yellow cardstock behind the purple on the sentiment.

Here are my other cards using the same background stamp:

Friend Masterpiece Card

I love this background stamp by Hero Arts. I've used it on two other posts: Best Wishes and Friend and I'll have another won to share coming up in the next few months.

For my card I stamped the background with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on watercolor cardstock by Strathmore. I colored the images in with Peerless watercolors and a water pen by Ranger. The sentiment is vellum by Quick Quotes. I die cut the vellum with a Spellbinders die before I ran it through my Xyron sticker maker to adhere to the card front.

Very simple but anything more would make it look cluttered. I will say it took a while to color in that background, which made me not want to do anything more to it.

Thanks for coming by and checking out my new card.

Bouquet Card

Today's card uses stamps by Taylored Expressions. The water color paper is by Strathmore. I heat embossed the bouquet with Versa Mark ink and silver embossing powder by Stampendous. I used Peerless watercolors to color in the image and then used a Lawn Fawn die cut to cut it out. The background papers are by  Studio G and the hexagon paper is by Quick Quotes. I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts black ink on the patterned paper and looking back on the card I should have stamped it on a lighter paper.

Today my card uses the Large Sunflower stamp by Deep Red Stamps and a Xyron Create-a-sticker 150.

I had a bunch of scraps of watercolor paper (Ranger) that I didn't want to go to waste. I took three of those scraps that were roughly the same size and taped them together on the back with regular tape. Then I stamped the Sunflower with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with a flat gold embossing powder (Stamp N Plus). The image is colored in with with Peerless Watercolors and a water pen (Ranger). I did tap the brush down to the center a bit to appear like the center of a sunflower. Once the watercolor was dry I removed the tape and matted each piece with yellow paper (Creative Memories). I adhered the pieces to the patterned paper (Pebbles) with a small space between each one.

The Xyron create-a-sticker seemed like a great way to adhere the ribbon and lace to the patterned paper. I was able to run both pieces in at the same time.

To make certain the adhesive adhered to the two I burnished the back  of the release paper with a bone folder (Cricut/Provo Craft).

The picture below shows the Xyron adhesive does not show through on the ribbon or the lace. The sentiment is a Cricut cut from the Just Because Cards cartridge. I used the Xyron 150 for the sentiment and the layers.

I embellished the card with "Rain Dots" (Cloud 9 Designs).

I made some ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) for a swap I'm in and the theme is food. I used the Apple Harvest stamp.

I stamp the Apple Harvest stamp onto watercolor paper (Ranger) with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with a copper embossing powder (Ranger). I colored in the stamp with Peerless watercolors and the gold rim is a Wink of Stella gold. After the image was dry, I cut them out leaving a small white edge around each one.

The sentiment is a Cricut cut from the Just Because cards cartridge. The background is a stencil (The Crafter's Workshop) that I applied Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap distress ink with a distress tool.

I used the Xyron 250 to adhere the basket and the sentiment to the card.

The back of the ATC is also a Deep Red Stamp called ATC Prof Boston.
