Color My Heart

With a sketch from Atlantic Hearts

The ribbon challenge at Heart 2 Heart gives me a 

chance to do one of my favorite thing with ribbon.

After altering the cover of a spiral notebook I like to

 add some ribbons on the spirals. Then I add ribbon 

 to the coordinating RSVP pen to complete the set. 

Makes a nice gift for someone special.

The colors for this project are from the fun Tic Tac Toe

 challenge at Color My Heart. I used the ones on the 

bottom: Peacock, Peach, and Glacier. These papers

 come from the beautiful Boutique paper pack.

And now another amazing sketch from Atlantic Hearts 

gave me the layout for this project. If you need

Day 4 Die-namite Easter Treat Boxes

A Bunny, Chick, and Lamb

Use the Gift Card Box to make some fun Easter treat boxes.

Cut the treat box using the  Gift Card Box Thin Cut.

Use the smaller oval in the Basic Oval Thin Cuts for the opening.

Cut the face using the Basic Circle Thin Cuts. Use the cut

out oval from the treat box to shape the ears.

Use the smaller oval in the Basic Oval Thin Cuts for the opening.

Had to make another fun project.  My Easter chick box is made with 

the Gift Card Box Thin Cut , the Basic Ovals and the Basic Circles. 

The colors are Canary,Sorbet, and Willow from the Tic Tac Toe 

challenge at Color My Heart.  The candy goodies are Reese's Pieces.

I found a new CTMH challenge blog this week. It's Between the Folds: an anything goes challenge blog. This week the challenge is anything goes with the Charlotte paper pack. My anything goes project is my "In House Mail" project made with the monthly special stamp set Share The Love.

For every stamp set purchased this month CTMH will give $7.00 to the Operation Smile organization.

Using the Share the Love stamp set I made six 3 X 3 note cards to go in the mail box. Then when someone in the house need some lovin'  just use a note card to send a message. Tuck the note under a pillow, attach to the bathroom mirror, or pop in the lunch box or the tool box.

Box #4 Chinese Food Container

Cut @11" for largest box. Using the Outdoor Denim

Chevron ribbon that came free with your order this month

tie a piece around and just make a knot at the top. Add

a tag card using the October SOTM. Front has some

snow at the bottom with the tree from the ornament tag.

Stamp the inside with the tag card from the October SOTM

and attach to the Outdoor Denim ribbon.

Box #5 Door Hanger cut @ 9.5"

Add some border trim, a rosette, and a tag from the October SOTM.

This is box the perfect size to hold a Hershey Chocolate Bar.

Box #6 Makes a cute Christmas tree ornament.

Cut Box 5.5" and fill with two candy canes and one

snow bear(peaking in the back) from the October SOTM.

Use some recycled curly ribbons for filler.

Embroidery Hoop Display

This is my take on the embroidery hoop on page 17 in the current

Spring/Summer Idea Book. I used the back side of the Jubilee Textiles

to give a softer look. The hexagons are stamped second generation

Topiary and Indian Corn Blue for the softer color tones. You can

Balloon Ride

My first paper pack sneak peak is Balloon Ride featuring

a "Just a note" post it note cover.

As soon as I saw the cute little post it holder made by Vicki Wizniuk 

I had to make one.But....oh which paper pack to use? 

Then there on the table was a scrap with a part of a balloon

 that just fit in the space and had a spot for "just a note" on the balloon.

You can see Vicki's creations here and follow her instructions 

to make a 3 X 3 post it note cover. I made the smaller post it note cover 

using the instructions by Susan Itell.

All Dressed Up With

Ponderosa Pine and Cranberry

Inspiration for these tags come from this week's challenge at Color My Heart.

A window tin full of Christmas tags.

Directions to make tags: Download the free tags from Close to my Heart. 

Cut each tag out. Using the tag from Artiste Cricut cartridge pg.35 

cut 4 tags with Cranberry cardstockand 4 tags with Ponderose Pine 

cardstock at 5 inches. Cut 8 tags from your choice of background B&T

 paper at 4.5 inches. Print two copies of the free tags from CTMH.

Cut each tag out and adhere to the background tags. Cut the greetings from the 

second page of printed tags and pop up on tags.  Embellish as desired.

Another Christmas challenge comes from the Rose Blossom Garden. 

This will be the final challenge before the Rose Blossom Garden closes. 

So share your Christmas creation before the garden is closed.
