Color Dare #300

It's Been Six Years
Since the first Color Dare came on the scene, I remember when Sarah Stone invited Close to My Heart consultants to come and play at the new Color Dare challenge. And...I was there. You can visit my first post at Color My Heart HERE. Time really does go by fast at my age. Thanks Sarah.
And... six years later I still love playing at Color My Heart. To get the soft colors on my card I stamped the image in permanent black ink on water color paper. Then I placed one drop of  Bashful, Mink, and Pacifica re-inker on an acrylic block. I used the water brush to water color the image. Fun and easy.

Join the contest and design a special project with these colors and win a medium size box of fun Close to My Heart products. Be sure to post your project at Color My Heart.

April Showers

Bring May Flowers and a Sneak Peak
Heart 2 Heart's April showers challenge was a real challenge for me.
Then I was cruising through my Artistry booklet and noticed the rain drop
background. I used that with some cloud B&T paper (sneak peak)
from Little Dreamer coming soon in the new Expressions II. I also used some
floral paper from Little Dreamer for the umbrella.
Only a few days left to play at at Heart 2 Heart. You could become an addict,
a darling or a sweetheart. So come play along and see what you get.

Color Dare #209

Sorbet, Pomegranate, Pear, Black, and Gold
The Color my Heart challenge this week was a bit of a challenge since one
of the colors is no longer currently available. So, for this card I had to cheat just a bit.
My business practise is that when a CTMH item is retired it leaves my
work space. So, since my Pear ink is gone I used the new color Willow.
They are close in color so I hope that will work for the challenge.
The flower, ferns, and pot are cut using the new
Flower Market Cricut cartridge. The papers are
from the Fundamentals and the gold is the gold glitter paper.
If you miss this color challenge a new one will be posted
at Color My Heart tomorrow. Be sure to check it out and come play.
CTMH Supplies:
Fundamentals: Whimsy, Enchantment
Cardstock: Black, White Daisy, Willow, Sorbet
Stamps: Short & Sweet, Blessed Beyond Measure
Ink: Pomegranate, Black, Willow
Embellishments: Gold Glitter paper, White/gold ribbon

Copy That

My Favorite Subject
Love to copy. There are so many amazing inspirational talented
paper artist sharing their creations it's hard not to copy. Usually when I copy
I do put a Jody twist on it like this card I "copied" from the new
Annual Inspirations page 45 for the Heart 2 Heart challenge.
I used the gold overlay for the stripes and since I didn't
need a Birthday card I made a Happy Day card.
So check out the Annual Inspiration and copy yourself
a project. If you don't have the exact supplies just use
the ones you have. Change up the colors, use different
stamps, turn the card or page in a different direction but
most of all just have fun.

Cardstock: Sea Glass, Whisper, White Daisy, Glacier, New England Ivy

Flower Market Goes to Florence

With an Atlantic Hearts Sketch
The new Flower Market Cricut cartridge is so fun to play with. It has
lots of individual flowers for cards or pages, flowers on stems, flower
overlays, containers to put them in and wreaths and greens to go with.
The flower market imagination can sure go wild.
Using the sketch below from Atlantic Hearts I filled my basket with
some twigs and flowers from the Florence paper pack. This paper pack is also
the challenge at Between the Folds. So grab your Florence, create an
inspirational piece and share with us at Between the Folds.

If you need a sketch, this one at Atlantic Hearts is
