A Color Challenge

From Color My Heart
Colors are Wisteria, Lemonade, and Green Apple.
It seem like Thank you notes are in short supply around here. Lots to be thankful for. Sometimes a hand written note is appreciated more than just an e-mail or text. And of course thank you hugs are the best. It's kind of like I can't do Snapchat or Tiktok, but I can write in cursive, do math without a calculator, tell time on a clock with hands, and write a hand written thank you note for someone special.
Send a Thank You note to someone today.

Tags for All Occassions

With Paper Clusters
The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is to use a tag on your project. I decided to make a collection of tags with paper clusters. Each tag is made with scraps of papers in the colors from the Color My Heart challenge. The scraps are randomly layered on each tag and staple to the tag.  The staple is covered with an icon of your choice. Add a sentiment to the tag and attach the tag to a card, gift bag, or scrapbook page.

More With Balloon Ride

A Tag Closure Card
Inspiration for this card comes from Vicki Wizniuk
She used a tag topper punch to make her closure but I don't
have a tag topper punch, Oh, what to do? I can cut the
card as instructed and hand cut my own tag topper closure.
Voila..... a tag topper closure card.

Heart 2 Heart Celebrates May Flowers

Layered Rose
April showers bring May flowers. The Heart 2 Heart challenge this week is
to shower us with flowers of all kinds. And... when you visit the
H2H blog you will see lots of spring flowers.
For my flowers I made layered roses on the front of a tri-fold tag card.. Using the rose from Card Word Puzzle stamp it 4 times in the color of your choosing. Cut out the 4 layers from each rose. Sponge the edge of each rose section and layer together. You can use pop ups in between the layers to get a dimensional look.
Inside the tri-fold card.
To make the tri-fold card cut two tag cards using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
Attach the two cards together to make the tri-fold card.
Decorate and embellish the inside.
Now it's your turn to show us your May flowers. Be sure to post them at Heart 2 Heart.

B&T Duos: Dotty For You
Cardstock: Colonial White, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup
Stamps: Card Word Puzzle
Ink: Smoothie, Pear, Lagoon, Honey
Embellishments: Pink buttons, Colonial White Ribbon, Opaques

Resizing the Envelope

It's always nice to make a coordinating envelope to go with those special handmade cards. However, sometimes the envelope needs to be resized to fit the card.
31/4 X 51/2 Tag Card made with cricut Art Philosophy cartridge page 60 in cricut booklet.
 Resized 5 3/4 X 3 1/2 coordinating envelope

Resizing Tutorial

Cut the envelop on page 30 in the Art Philosophy Cricut booklet 1/4 inch larger than the length of the
card. This envelope is cut at 5 3/4 inches.  Score at 3 1/2 inched down from the top fold.
Re cut the bottom flap to 2 1/4 inches. Reshape the side flaps.

Fold side flaps in and secure the bottom flap to the side flaps to make the envelope.
Cover the notch lines with 1/2 inch strip of coordinating paper.
