Winter Wonder Window

Making A Window Card
Making a window card is easy as choosing a shape, cut out
the shape and stamp a scene behind the cut out shape.
Be sure to check out Through the Window challenge
at Heart 2 Heart for more window ideas.
I cut out the snowflake using water color paper.
After wetting the water colored the paper I painted it
with a light blue. While it was wet I sprinkled salt on the
blue paint to get the snow effect. I stamped a snow scene
in the window and put the card together. Make your window

A Blast From the Past

It's a new challenge: Use It or Lose It
Challenge #1 is to use your first stamp. Now, for me I had to go back 14 years when CTMH was D.O.T.S. and our stamps were rubber stamps mounted on those wooden blocks. Most of my woodies are gone but I did find one that has the D.O.T.S. copyright on the block. It was R 103 Carousel Horse.
While making this updated version of the Carousel Horse I used some of the techniques we used in 1998. Notice that the stamp itself is embellished with lots of dots randomly placed around the image.
On the inside to coordinate with this design I use our writers to draw stitching lines and then randomly place dots around the stitching. This was a super fun challenge. Thanks Use It or Lose It.
Be sure to visit the Use It or Lose It challenge blog and go back in time and relive the memories. Be sure to share your memories with all.

Color Challenge Plus at Heart 2 Heart

This week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart is to use the colors Crystal Blue and Amethyst on your artwork. The plus part of the challenge (should you choose to accept it) is to add some glitter to your artwork.

I've been wanting to try some of those cut out cards made with our Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  This one is on page 67 of the Cricut booklet. I cut the Amethyst 4 3/4 and a white daisy 4 1/4 to get the smaller frame on the inside. I inked the white daisy with crystal blue to get the blue frame. The only glitter is the now retired glitter brad and each flower has a sparkle in the center.
Now it's your turn to share with us at Heart 2 Heart your creation using crystal blue and amethyst.
CTMH Supplies:
Cardstock: White Daisy Amethyst
Ink: Amethyst, Crystal Blue
Stamps: Love Life
Embellishments: Glitter Brad, Sparkles, Crocheted Flower
