Double Page Layout fun using the June kit at The ScrapRoom!

Happy Hump Day!  Today I am sharing a double page layout I created using the super fun June Flavors of the month Kit at The ScrapRoom!  Here is a reminder of the kit:

Here is the Vicki Boutin Color Study collection I am using on today's layout:

Here is my layout using this super fun kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock- black- from the kit; Patterned Paper: Vicki Boutin Color Study- from the kit; ephemera: Vicki Boutin Color Study- from the kit; stickers: Vicki Boutin Color Study- from the kit

This double page layout was super fun to make! I made clipboards from white cardstock by cutting a 3x4 piece, drawing around the edges with a black pen and adding the clipboard sticker to the top!  This is a super fun way to create ephemera or a fun journaling box!!  I loved this collection so much I even bought some extra pieces, so you may see it on another layout soon!  Make sure and head on over to The ScrapRoom blog to check out the other double page layouts the designers created with this amazing kit!!  Happy creating!

Happy Monday!! Are you ready for a new week????  I hope you find yourself enjoying some creative time this week!!  It's time to kick off our next edition of TN Time with Lisa & Lori!!  So let's get this party started!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. If you combined my challenge with Lori's challenge link up your spread here on my blog AND on Lori's Blog (My Happy Life). For 2021 we are making this challenge a "just for fun" challenge with no prize, but isn't the real prize just documenting your memories and getting more pages done in 2021???!!!!
Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's challenge for May (May 10th-June 9th):

What a fun challenge!!  Purple is one of my favorite colors, yet I don't have a lot of purple paper!! I also find myself gravitating towards flowers when I buy scrappy supplies, I have floral stickers, ephemera flowers, floral papers, fabric flowers etc, truthfully I haven't met a flower I don't like!!! So this challenge is perfect for me!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch and Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: CTMH yellow; Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee Bloom Street, American Crafts, Hip Kit Club & CTMH; stickers: Pink Paislee Bloom Street; ephemera: Hip Kit Club; journal boxes: Elle's Studio; enamel dots: Hip Kit Club; Enamel Hearts: Pink Paislee; die: Stampin' Up stitched circle.

For the purple part of the challenge I used some purple strips of paper, some purple flowers, a purple journal spot and a purple enamel dot!  I love purple and although I wanted more yellow to bring out the yellow in my flowers I think the pops of the purple were perfect!

Here are a few close ups:
I added a journal box not shown in the sketch behind my picture to put hidden journaling on, as I had a story about the day I wanted to tell and not enough room under the picture.

I really loved this floral paper and I just pulled the pink and purple from the floral paper for my two paper strips called for in the sketch.

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

                                            RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:

TN Time with Lisa & Lori~ March edition!!

Happy Hump Day!  Last month just flew by and now it's time for a new monthly challenge!! This one is a lot of fun so let's get the party started!!

HERE IS HOW OUR CHALLENGE WORKS: This is a monthly challenge that launches on the 10th of each month  You will have until the 9th at midnight CST to link up your entries. If you complete my sketch challenge link your TN, bullet journal or planner spread below. Now for my challenge!! Here is this month's sketch:

Now for Lori's March challenge (March 10th-April 9th):

What a fun challenge!  Green just screams March doesn't it?!!!
Here is my spread using both the sketch & Lori's challenge:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: American Crafts She's Magic by Dear Lizzy; stickers: Echo Park Coffee & Friends; enamel hearts: Pink Paislee Lucky Us; tag: Unknown; letter stickers: Hip Kit Club Cozy Up

Now for a few close ups:
I love that Starbucks main color is green and for some reason when I was thinking of a layout using green I immediately thought of this Starbucks picture my niece and I took last December!  This Dear Lizzy paper is one I have been hoarding but decided it was perfect for this photo and dug it out!!  I decided to go with a bolder title, it just looked better then the smaller letter stickers I tried to use at first.

I am not sure where I got this tag but when I was digging through my box of tags I immediately pulled this one out, I love how it looks with this fun coffee sticker!  I decided to use two banners instead of a tab at the top under my sticker, I thought it balanced out the layout better.  I loved these coffee stickers and was so glad to get to use them in my TN!!

Now for the nitty gritty of how to play along:

                                            RULES FOR THE CHALLENGE:

Sketch N Scrap #204

Happy Hump Day! I for one am glad the week is half over!! I am looking forward to some scrappy time this weekend!  It's a new month so that means a new layout sketch is revealed today at Sketch N Scrap!  Today's sketch is brought to us by sketch artist Stacy.  Here is her amazing sketch:

Here is my layout I created with this fun sketch:
Supplies Used: Patterned Paper: Elle's Studio (background), American Crafts, Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; stickers: Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; ephemera: Simple Stories Oh Happy Day; Letter stickers: PinkFresh Studios

I love how this layout turned out!  I used ephemera and some papers (pink/black and white) from my June Great Stash Bash kit.  The background paper is from a previous Stash Bash kit that I didn't use and the strawberry paper I pulled out because of course it was the perfect paper for this photo!!  Stacy's sketch is so fun and makes creating a layout super fast and easy.  Make sure and check out what the other DT members did with the sketch on the Sketch N Scrap blog!  I hope you will find time to join in the fun this month! May Great Stash Bash kit!!

Yay!  We made it to May!!  May is an amazing month for me each year and I really look forward to it! Of course there is NSD and it's also the birthday month for Sketch N Scrap which I co-founded 8 years ago!! All those festivities kick off tomorrow at Sketch N Scrap so make sure and follow us on Facebook and the blog!!  Today's it's a new month so that means it's time to launch Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 kit for May!!
For those who are new to the challenge here is how it works:
On the 1st of each month we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created following that prompt. During the month we will try to use as much of our stash kits as possible on different projects. Then, on the last day of the month, we will do a recap post showing what stash we were able to bash!
This will be a just-for-fun challenge so no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? You never know - if we still have a few unused stash items after a few months, then those items may just go into a giveaway. We hope you will join us in our quest to bash some stash in 2020. If you accept the challenge to play along - link up on either my blog or Lori's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month!
Now for our May challenge:
This month we will create a kit with 10 papers (seven papers 3 years or older & three newer papers), 5-7 scrap papers, 4 embellishments (three that are 3 years or older & one newer one), and some FLOWERS!!
Since this is a just for fun challenge the rules are not set in stone BUT we have them to help you focus on what really matters using your stash!  We also hope you will help spread the word of our fun challenge so others may join in!!  You know you have at least one friend who needs to use her stash!!
Here are the rules:
1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit.
2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit.
3. If you have a blog - please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts.
4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use - #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2020
Here is the kit I created using the May prompts:

I am loving these colors this month, I'm in a bright colored mood with a splash of grey/black!
Here is a close up of the older papers:
These papers are from the following collections: Elle's Studio Live, Laugh, Love (4), Bella Blvd Family Dynamix (2) and Bella Blvd Sweet, Sweet Spring (purple). I only had this one Sweet Sweet Spring Paper and was glad to see it coordinates well with the Elle's Studio papers!
Here are my newer papers:
These papers are from Simple Stories Oh Happy Day line (yellow), Pebbles Chasing Adventures (red), and Dear Lizzy She's Magic (pink).
Here are the scraps I picked...as you can see one I spilled water on, so not sure the end is able to be salvaged!
None of my scraps had branding strips on them, so I am not sure what lines they are from!  I think the yellow is from Bo Bunny and the reds are from My Mind's Eye, Scenic Route (wow! So old) & Echo Park
Here are my embellishments:

The new embellishment is Pink Pasilee Horizons Thickers, flowers are from Basic Grey (another oldie but goodie) and the older 3 embellishments are from Elle's Studio!! I love all these fun embellishments and hope to use a lot of them this month!!
I hope you will be inspired to dig through your stash this month and play along with myself and Lori as we endeavor to bash some stash in 2020!!  If you chose to play along make sure and link up below, we'd love to see what you have put together for a kit & what you create with it!  Happy creating friends!

Fun sketch challenge!

Good evening!  I think everyone knows how much I love a good sketch challenge!  I recently joined some of my cyber friends over at the Cherry on Top message board where they have a bunch of challenges every month, I figure I needed to make good use of my extra time this next few weeks!  I saw that they have a weekly sketch challenge using a Becky Fleck sketch, so I decided to give it a whirl!
Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch AND my Great Stash Bash kit:
Supplies Used: Cardstock: CTMH White & Black; Patterned Paper: Amy Tangerine Plus One(grey); CTMH I Heart Us (green), Bella Blvd Island Escape (pink banner) & Shimelle Little by Little (raindrops); frame: unknown source; ephemera: Fancy Pants Happy Place & PinkFresh Studios My Favorite Story; sticker: sun- Echo Park; letter stickers: Making Memories; Metal Word: Making Memories; word strip: washi sticker Jillibean Soup
Can you believe how much older stash and how many different manufacturers I have used on this layout?  I didn't realize it until I went to make the supply list!  I have been really concentrating on using my Great Stash Bash kit this month...I have done awesome using up 2 full papers and 2 of my scraps.  I also have used up at least 1/2 piece of 2 other papers.  I hope to use up the entire kit by the end of the month, so stay tuned for a recap then!  I already had these pictures of my nephew printed out and on my desk for a long while now waiting on the right layout.  I was going to use other pictures but then realized I could adapt the sketch to these pictures that where already printed.  I fussy cut the bear out of a cut apart card from one of the Shimelle Little By Little papers...the whole reason I bought this paper was that darn bear!  I only have 3 papers from this line, so I think that is why I have not used them in the past few years!  Doesn't he look so cute peeking out of that frame?  I just love the way this turned out!  I hope you will check out A Cherry on Top's forum to see what the other ladies did with this fun sketch!  And don't forget to check out Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash 2020 challenge as well, we would love to have you join us!  Happy creating and stash bashing friends!
