How does one celebrate a milestone like 99 years old? Goodness - a special time to celebrate. Of course a special card needs to be presented. Box card design by Debbie Pamment - her blog here. This card style was taught at one of the annual La-la Land Retreat sessions. A 3rd strip to hold another image was added. Paper: Recollections Black Card Stock, DCWV The Far East Stack paper. Various basic punches used: EK Success 2" Punch, EK Success 1-3/4" Punch, EK Success 1-1/2" Punch, EK Success 1-1/4" Punch. Back panel top edge, flaps, and top inside strips are using EK Success Loops border Punch. Finished box card size: 6-1/2" x 5-1/2".
A note about those randomly placed golden fire crackers: use scraps of gold card stock about 1" wide x 3" long - adhere a gold cord, then roll up and adhere closed. Also add Gold Stickles on the ends of the cord.
Wiki C.A.P.S. Good Luck Die used on the front panel. Ellentina Cutting Dies TSD009 used on the second panel. The year 99 was a Silhouette cut using Black card stock, mat with decorative paper punched, then mat with black card stock, then gold card stock.
Free Font: printed Chow Fun used for the message. Punch it using EK Success 1-1/4" Circle Punched, then mat it with a 1-1/2" punch in Black card stock, and finally a 1-3/4" Gold card stock circle. Pop with foam squares. Add two golden fire crackers.

Card Back: Cut a Gold card stock mat on top of a white card stock. Add the Asian character "Shou" which means "long life". This Asian character was cut using my Silhouette and the character was found on line.

This is Project #22 for Day 3 of the LLC Retreat: This is a Holiday card with a Box designed by Tamara Potocnik. Her blog Handmade by Tamara can be found here. This project is made using Kraft card stock. To achieve that "snowy" effect: use a white ink pad. Slide the polka dot paper card edge long the ink pad. Finished project is 6" x 6". The treat box finishes 6" x 2" x 1". This project can be altered for other celebrations, too.
Build-a-Snowman (popped with foam squares) and Double Stitched Hills Border are on the right side card flap. They are lightly sponged using brown ink. Use a Sakura White Gel Pen for the eyes.

This is Project #20 for Day 3 of the LLC Retreat: This is a pull out card designed by Irina Blount. (Owner and Queen Designer) of La-la Land Crafts. See the LLC Blog here with lots of inspiration and ideas. Finished project 8-1/2" x 8-1/2". Card stock colors are a soft Vanilla, brushed gold and swirl pattern acetate (on the 2nd mat). When framed: this project makes a great festive addition to any home decor.
Inner popped up mat (using foam squares) is 4" x 4" . Another larger popped up mat is 6" x 6". Reindeer are die cut 3 times, then glued together to provide a chipboard effect. See the Stitched Hills in the back of the reindeer?
Booktab and Label die used here, add Viva Gold Pearl pen for the 3D look:
Add a drop of Viva Gold Pearl pen to the bow for the die cut Ornament. The Swirl Pattern Acetate can be easily seen here.

Are you ready for the final 8 awesome projects from Day 3 of the LLC Retreat held early November 2015? This was the 3rd Annual La-la Land Craft Retreat held in Pacifica, California. The 2014 LLC Retreat projects were previously posted on my blog starting on Friday, January 23, 2015. Continuing with the theme "Life is Sweet", overwhelmed and exhausted, we still dug into our projects for Day 3.
This is Project #19 for Day 3 of the LLC Retreat: This is a pull out card designed by Debbie Pamment. Her blog is called Debbie P's Place and can be found here. Finished card size is 5-1/4" x 5-1/2".
Fully opened: card finishes 10-3/4" x 5-1/2".
Chickadee Marci is popped with foam squares and of course, her hair is now black (was originally planned with Brown hair). Love the texture created by using Copic markers for the ear muff sand top of boots .

Day 2: Project #9 Celebrate Christmas card designed by Sue Kohler. Her blog is called My Inner reflection and can be found here. Card base is white for this holiday card. Decorative papers are Kraft card stock. 5/8" wide white satin ribbon embellishes this card.
Die cut Christmas Hill Border is staggered inside the Photo Frame.The die cut Photo Frame is cut in white card stock and also a Kraft card stock, then it is offset. Pop the frame with foam squares. Finished card size is 5-1/2" x 5-1/2".
Adhesive rhinestone on the poinsettia:
Add adhesive pearls to the tree tops.

Are you ready for 11 awesome projects from Day 2 of the LLC Retreat held early November 2015? This was the 3rd Annual La-la Land Craft Retreat held in Pacifica, California. Day 2: Project #8 Photo Storage Box designed by Tamara Potocnik. Her blog Handmade by Tamara can be found here. This cute photo box is really nice not just to hold photos but any type of gift, too. Box base is made using White card stock. All edges of the card stock and pattern paper are lightly sponged using brown ink. Finished size for this box is 6-1/2" x 4-3/8" x 2-1/8" ( excluding the Fancy Doily Border die extending beyond the box). This box is a Silhouette cut file Design #48732 called 3D 4X6 Photo Storage Bin. Note there are 3 card stock mats in each panel, making this box sturdy on all sides. These card stock mats were made using the Silhouette. Mats are popped with foam squares. A lightly sponged paper doily is tucked underneath the die cut Postage Stamps.
Copic colored Inuit and Bear are popped with foam squares.

On the left side: Stardust Stickles is added to the paper Roses and Leaves. Use a small brush to twist the ends of the roses for further embellishment. On the die cut Holly Flourish, Copic pens were used to color realistic leaves.
On the right side: Stardust Stickles is added to the paper flowers and poinsettia. The die cut Postage Stamp has part of the die cut Holly Flourish where the leaves and berries are colored using
Top of box: Fancy Doily Border extends beyond he box.
Die cut and lightly sponged brown inked ZigZag Trim Banner sneaks out at the bottom of the Postage Stamp.

On the front corners are the die cut Booktabs.
Thread a jute cord through the holes and make a knot.

Project #7: Originally designed as a Christmas 12 x 12 Layout by Irina (owner and Queen designers of La-la Land Crafts), this project morphed into Two 6x6 Holiday Bendi Cards. Finished size of each card is ^" x 6".
Card #1: a "Bendi" Santa sighting. Adhesive rhinestones added to the Heart Snowflakes and top of trees.

Card #2: Reindeer 1 and Reindeer 2 with adhesive rhinestones on their antlers. The three shades of Turquoise card stock make this a festive wintry scene.
