Sketch Saturday Challenge #290

Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  We had the week off, but are back with one more sketch challenge this year at Sketch Saturday.

My Interpretation:

I used an image from Sparkle Creations - Cowgirl Cloe illustrated by Aki Fukuoka.  I bought this image specifically for our niece Lauren's birthday.  Her birthday was in November and lived most of her life in Texas.  

You may think our niece is a little girl - nope, she turned 29.  Very hard to believe especially since I'm 29 - LOL.  She moved back in Texas with her husband this year, so this seemed like a fitting birthday card.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #270

 

We have come to a new month - can't believe it's August!  Can you??

The first Saturday of the month at Sketch Saturday means a DT member, Sparkle, is hosting the challenge this week.  She has an online store -- Sparkle that is and she was very generous and gave us an image of our choice to work with. :D This is Lemonade Ruby.  I worked with a digi but she is actually a rubber stamp.  The illustrator is Aki Fukuoka.  Super Cute - huh? 

Here is Sketch #270 (designed by Sparkle):

I ended up flipping the sketch end for end and using the mirror, other than that I stayed pretty literal to the elements of the sketch.

The patterned paper I paired with this great image was My Mind's Eye "Happy Day".
