Nerd Lacquer - Scully

Hi Everyone!!  So I cannot even express how happy I am that Nerd Lacquer is back!  I was so worried about the owner, Amanda, and am so glad that the nail community could welcome her back with open arms. Amanda has gone through a lot over the last year, and my heart goes out to her.  It is so inspiring to see her get back into action though!!

Today, I have the last of my trio of Harlow & Co. Exclusives by Nerd Lacquer.  This is Scully!  I am beyond excited to have gotten this, as it is so so stunning!  Since Nerd Lacquers sell out so quickly, I hope Amanda will be making lots and lots more to share the NL love!

You can view my other post (it's so old and these need to be reswatched but I haven't had the time) - HERE!  This features the other two of the trio, which would be Han Shot First and Batcave!! I refreshed for those for like 3 hours back when NL was first out!  I have held those as prized possessions (LOL) and was sad to miss Scully, but am glad I got my paws on it now!  And honestly, after a year or so of Nerd Lacquer not being in production, I was so sad for everyone to miss out on the beauty that is Nerd Lacquer!! I kept my NLs on the shelf tucked away because I know how much it stinks to want something you can't have and I never wanted to "show off".  I do hope that each and every one of you are able to snag the ones you've been waiting for!  I know it can be hard trying to fight the crowds, but these are worth all the patience and waiting!  Promise!

Ok, sorry for the side notes haha :-)  You can purchase Nerd Lacquer at http://nerdlacquer.com/  Now, of course, there is a huge demand for them!  Amanda uses Google+ for notifications, so I recommend following her HERE to stay up to date on info!  You can also purchase from Harlow & Co. and Ninja Polish.

So here is Scully!!!  The flecks looked pink under my light box!

For this mani, I used 2 coats of Scully along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  The next couple of pictures are outside as the sun was setting.

I love the silver glitters that are in this!!  They are gorgeous!  Along with the white in this peachy base!  The lighting really changes how it looks too!  I mentioned about that the flecks looked pink....

But in my bedroom and kitchen, the flecks had a blue/purple look to them!!  SO gorgeous!

Here is a close up of the bottle in my kitchen lighting!  (Sorry it's blurry)

Close up - light box!

Close up - outside!

I hope you enjoyed this look at Nerd Lacquer Scully!!  We missed you, Amanda!! SO SO SO glad you are back and better than ever!

Seriously, isn't this gorgeous!??

For It's So Fluffy, I'm Gonna Die, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top!

This is based off of the movie, Despicable Me.  Here is a quick clip of where the name comes from!

I absolutely love the glass flecks in this!  Plus all the pink!! And circle glitters!??  Plus those big pink hexes are awesome!  Squares too!

Close Up!!  This is seriously the prettiest pink!! A must have in my opinion!

Next, Crystal Empire!  Don't you just love the name? *wink wink*

I'm in glitter heaven I think!  I started with three coats of OPI Rumple's Wiggin'.

I then applied 1 coat of Crystal Empire along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

LOVE these huge circle glitters that are holographic!  And the beautiful moons, stars, and smaller circles!  This is just such a fun glitter topper!  I wanted to try this over blues, pinks, purples, black, etc. haha I can't wait to wear this again!

This is based off of the cartoon, My Little Pony!  Here is a picture of the Crystal Empire!

HERE for Photo Credit

You can see in the bottle the holo big circle glitter! YUM!

Close up!

Next....Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea?

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!

For this mani using Who Lives In A Pineapple Under The Sea?, I used 2 coats along with 2 coats of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I did add the extra top coat to make sure it was smoother!

Here is the theme song to the cartoon, Spongebob Squarepants!

Are you going to be singing it all night too? LOL  Anyway, I LOVE the stars in this, plus it totally reminds me of the cartoon Spongebob Squarepants!  And the light blue shimmer through this is beautiful!  It's subtle, but I love it!  And there are these white glitters that are thicker, but they look so so cool through the white base! Since they are thicker though, I do recommend a thick top coat, or like I did, an extra coat.  It is definitely worth it though!  Isn't this awesome?

Close up!  You can see the blue glitters/shimmer in it!

I hope you enjoyed this post!!  In case you missed above, you can purchase Dollish Polish at HERE at DollishPolish.com or through HERE at Llarowe. Zoya Kiki with Lush Lacquer Summer Lovin

Hello!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!!  Today I have one of my favorite pinks along with an awesome polish by Lush Lacquer.

First up is Zoya Kiki.  This pink doesn't get the love it should!  I think I bought this randomly from Zoya, but it is probably the most amazing pink in my collection!  And my brush is perfect, so application is amazing.  I cannot give this polish enough love!  I'm not sure why this isn't talked about more!

Speaking of love, I want to share this link with you, https://www.artofbeauty.com/rd/0132C9F2.  This is a Share the Love link that leads to Zoya Kiki.  This link is a way for me to earn points through them! So cool for me, but you guys can get something too! See what Zoya wrote: Remember EVERYONE WINS with "Share the Love": When someone clicks on your personal link and sets up an online account, a $5 coupon a coupon for a FREE Bottle of Zoya Nail Polish will automatically be placed in their account and can be used immediately on their current order. TIP: If you use this coupon and add 2 more polishes to your order, you get free shipping too! The coupon will appear in the "My Coupons/ Promos" section of their "My Account" Page.

Kiki is such a beautiful hot pink, but then there is also a purple/blue shift to it, which can be seen in the pictures.  There is also little glass flecks in this polish too, giving it that iridescent finish.  I'm sorry to not have any pictures in the sun, but it was overcast yesterday while I was taking photos.  This is 3 coats because I had a little tipwear.  I wore it on Saturday night with 2 coats with Wicked Fast Top coat, and it was great!  I did have slight tipwear, so I decided to do a third coat for photos!  I didn't use a top coat, since I knew I'd be adding Summer Lovin.

Next I applied Lush Lacquer Summer Lovin.  Here is their description of it:
Summer Lovin had me a blast...summer lovin happened so fast....boy I love that movie Grease! We made a polish that reminds us of summer. These swatch pictures don't do it justice...it looks so beautiful on! It is a neon glitter polish combo! It has a pink jelly base with a mixture of neon glitters...we packed this polish with neon pink, orange, yellow and blue matte glitters. We also added medium size pink matte glitters for contrast. We did not add the fine iridescent glitter for this one, but we can if you want it!. The colors in this polish look beautiful together and it is absolutely stunning on. It's very bright and pretty ...it definitely attracts attention! It looks great over other colors (see the swatches up above) or alone with 2 to 3 coats of polish. This polish has a smooth finish after applying 2 coats of a top coat or gelous. Please apply a thick top coat to seal in the glitter and allow for a smooth finish! Happy Polishing!!! :0)

You can purchase this from Lush Lacquer on Etsy.  Here is Summer Lovin listed for $8.75.  I did have to wait a little bit for shipping because of how many orders they had.  However, they update their Etsy page with information as to how long it will take to receive the orders, so that is very helpful!  I think it's definitely worth the wait though!  I just love how this polish looks!  And it's nice to be able to order whenever instead of only certain openings as some shops have to do.  I know there are a lot of different methods, but this seems to be working well for them!  And I don't mind waiting a little longer to make sure I can order what I would like all at the same time.

And here are a couple close up shots of each of the colors.

I hope you enjoyed!  I also am sporting Kiki on my toes!  I usually wear it for weeks on my toes!  Even though I change my nails everyday, my toes usually stay the same color.  I wore this for a while, then went to a red, but still found myself using this again on my toes! Can't get enough of it!

I hope you have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal

Gosh Gasoline VS OPI Grape...Set...Match

Bottle Comparisons, blurred a bit, but you can see they have a similar finish.

Another bottle comparison

Today I have for you a comparison of GOSH Gasoline and OPI Grape...Set...Match.   In the bottle, I could tell that GSM would be a tad off because it has this goldish shift to it.  Gasoline seems to be a little bit more on the silver side of shimmer instead of gold.  GSM only needed 2 coats, 1 Poshe, but Gasoline needed 3 coats, 1 Poshe.  Gasoline is more of a jelly consistency.  Both have a glass fleck finish.  GSM is a tad darker, but overall, I think it's a good substitute if you can't find GOSH near you.  I believe the Serena Williams duos can still be found online.

Also, today is the extra day of February since it's Leap Year!  So I was chatting with a few ladies on Twitter today...what happens when you don't have 2/29 to celebrate your birthday?!  They said family/friends celebrate it either 2/28 or 3/1.  I guess that makes sense, but I would celebrate both days then!  I read an article about it and I guess it does cause a problems for some born on 2/29 if they have to fill out forms and such!  I guess some computer programs don't acknowledge 2/29 as an actual date, so if you write that as your birthday, they can't process it.  I can't imagine my birthday not being on a calendar.  That seems unfair!  I don't know why I've never thought of that before.  But anyway, that is my little tangent for today!  If you Google, I'm sure there will be lots about birthdays on 2/29.  So if you or someone you know has a birthday today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!  Hope you celebrated yesterday, today, then again tomorrow :-)

blurred comparison

Below is the slight shift I was referring to earlier.  It seems like it turns more of a pink (gold doesn't really transfer to nail) when tilted at an angle.

Overall, I think both colors are beautiful!  I can notice the differences but I'm sure the everyday person wouldn't.  I think Gasoline would be great to layer!  I plan to try that out in the future.  To me, the color is different, but so is the texture of the polish.  As I said before, Gasoline seems to have more of a jelly finish, and may have not even needed a top coat.  I could tell the OPI GSM needed a top coat though, it dried almost flat, not very glossy at all.

I hope you enjoyed my comparison!  Tomorrow will be a GOSH Purple Heart comparison!

Have a great day!

Much Love,
Crystal
