Prettily Inspired Polish - Pulverized Perennials

Hello Everyone!!  I'm excited to share Prettily Inspired Polish by Chelsea with you today!!  Chelsea was kind enough to send me these for review!  They are all so beautiful!!  This collection is called Pulverized Perennials for Spring 2013!  Such a cute idea for a collection!

Before we get started though, I did want to mention how sad I am for those lost and hurt yesterday at the Boston marathon. My heart goes out to all of those suffering and mourning. It is embarrassing to see another human act this way by hurting the innocent. It's so hard to keep seeing these tragedies around us, but hopefully it will continue to unite us as a nation. Even those outside of the US, we are still all humans and don't deserve life more than the person next to us, nor should we think it is ok to take another's life. How unjust to do something so horrific. I have to rest in the fact that I believe in Karma. I strongly believe in how you present yourself will determine what comes back around to you. My thoughts and prayers of strength are with the people of Boston as they try to go about their day today.

You can purchase Prettily Inspired Polish HERE on Etsy.  You can also follow Chelsea, the owner, on Facebook and Instagram - @prettilyinspiredpolish.  Guess what else!!! Chelsea is offering 15% off of purchases $10 or more for you, my dear readers!!  Use code: CrystalsCrazyCombos for this awesome offer!!

Up first, we have Crushed Daisies.

For Crushed Daisies, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I just love the elegant look to this!  It would, of course, look fantastic layered too, but I love the sheer look of this!

Described by Chelsea - Crushed Daisies is a beautiful glitter mix in a milky white base.  This polish contains micro white hex, small pale gold hex, micro iridescent hex, and large iridescent clear hex in a milky white jelly base.

Close up!  See that big iridescent hex!?  Love!

Next, Steamrolled Snap Dragons.

For Steamrolled Snap Dragons, I used 2 coats, with the second a bit thicker.  I topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I recommend 3 thin coats for best coverage!  And it is so worth it!  This color is stunning!

I love this shade of pink!  It is like bubble gum and was so so glossy!

Described by Chelsea: Steamrolled Snapdragons is a milky fluorescent pink. This is the perfect polish to take you from spring to summer!

Close up!

Next, Grated Violets!

For Grated Violets, I used 3 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This is a gorgeous light purple with a purple sheen/shimmer in it!  I forget how much I love this type of color!  It just screams Spring to me!

Described by Chelsea:  Grated Violets is a pale purple with a violet shimmer. This is a lovely spring colour!

Close up!

Next up, Pounded Pansies.

For Pounded Pansies, I used 1 coat over the previous Grated Violets.  I then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The glitters in this are holographic and the cool purple hexes look like they float in the purple jelly!  This would be pretty with more than one coat too!

Described by Chelsea: Pounded Pansies is a beautiful purple glitter jelly.

Close up!

Next, we have Mangled Marigolds!  This is one coat by itself.

Here it is layered!

I started with 2 coats of Cult Nails You're My Dandy Lion.  This will be reviewed soon!

I then took 1 coat of Mangled Marigolds along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

There are also holographic glitters in this one too!  So beautiful!  I think this looks great paired together!  Bright + Glitter = perfect for Summer!

Described by Chelsea: Mangled Marigolds is a beautiful glitter mix in a tinted golden base.

Close up!

Last, but certainly not least, Smashed Hydrangeas.

For Smashed Hydrangeas, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

What a gorgeous teal with the white, teal, and blue glitters!  It also has a stunning shimmer in the base too!

Described by Chelsea: Smashed Hydrangeas is a beautiful glitter mix in a milky pale blue base with a light shimmer.  This polish contains micro light aqua hex, small matte teal hex, and large iridescent blue hex in a milky blue jelly base with a slight blue shimmer.

Yummy Close up!

Shimmer Polish - Tape Manis - Week 4

Happy Friday everyone!!  So since it's Friday, we know what that means!!!  TAPE MANI!!! :-)  This is week four out of ten!  Cindy, the owner, was so kind to send me these to show you all!  I am having so much fun coming up with combinations!  I hope you all are enjoying what I've come up with so far!!

Today we are looking at Jennifer!  Here are a couple bottle shots!

You can purchase Shimmer Polish HERE on Etsy. You can also visit the
Shimmer Polish Blog! for information and lots of swatches! And you can also stay up to date with
Shimmer Polish on Facebook and on Twitter - @ShimmerPolish.

I started with a base of Cult Nails Let's Get Dirty, using 2 coats.  Here it is with no top coat. (This will be reviewed separately soon!)

I then added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Once that is dry, probably about 20 minutes or so, it's safe to use the tape! Of course, the longer you wait, there is less of a chance for smudges! If you are going to do a tape mani after wearing the polish for a day or two, I recommend reapplying the top coat to prevent the tape from pulling any of the original color with it!

When I do a tape mani, I apply the tape to my hand a few times to remove some of the tackiness of the tape. I lay it diagonally on the nail and with the clear tape, you can make sure the edges are flat against the nail. I do each nail individually with tape, then apply the polish. Once applied, I remove the tape and move the next nail. By the time that is finished, I add top coat (KBShimmer Clearly on Top) and BAM - Tape Mani!!!

I just love the glitters in this!!  They are very reflective, giving a beautiful glitz and glam feel!  The glitters are almost pastel in blue, orange, green, and purple.

There are some iridescent glitters in here too!  So beautiful!

Close ups!!

I love the tiny little squares!! And I love how these two look together!

In case you missed the previous manis, Candace is HERE!, Julie is HERE!, and Irene is HERE!

I hope you are enjoying the Shimmer Polish tape manis so far!! Please check back next week for the next tape mani! ;-)

In case you missed above, you can purchase Shimmer Polish HERE on Etsy. You can also visit the

Black Cat Lacquer!

Hello All!!  Today I have some gorgeous Black Cat Lacquer polishes to share with you!!  Sabrina, the owner, sent these to me to review for you. I was so excited because I've seen a lot of these shades popping up around Instagram and such, and I absolutely love them!

You can purchase Black Cat Lacquer HERE on Etsy.   For updates and promotions, follow Black Cat Lacquer on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!  I actually just bought 3 beautiful ones with the Easter sale of 25% off of $25 or more!  So keep an eye for deals ;-)

We all know I love my pictures, so here we go!  First up - Dark Side of the Moon!

For Dark Side of the Moon, I used 2 coats along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This polish is amazing!! I love the black stars, diamonds, and circle glitters!  The little pops of green are so beautiful and the white base has a gorgeous shimmer through it!

Sabrina's description: There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark. But you can stay in the dark with Dark Side of the Moon! Dark Side of the Moon is a shimmery creamy base filled with all things dark in all shapes and sizes!

Close up!  You can see some of the shimmers!!

Next up, Lucky Star!

I started with two coats of OPI Mod About You (a favorite of mine!!).  This is an older picture in the shade outdoors.

Next, I applied 1 coats of Lucky Star and topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I just love the pastel glitters!  There are also some iridescent glitters and some that flash blue!  So beautiful!  There are starts in light teal, purple, and pink, along with other glitters in the same colors.  Perfection!

You can see the bottle with the blue and iridescent glitters!

Sabrina's description:  You can be the luckiest by far now when you fall for Lucky Star! Lucky Star is a beautiful combination of pink, lilac, aqua and iridescent glitters of all shapes and sizes!

A delicious close up!

Are you ready for this jelly?  Here is Bloody Kisses!

For Bloody Kisses, I used 3 coats along with 2 coats of KBShimmer Clearly on Top because I *needed* this to look deep for you guys :-D  How'd I do?  hehe

Jellies are so so much fun, so I wanted to make sure you could really see the glitters suspended!  And extra top coat to make it a glass finish.  You could also easily layer this over black, but you might lose some of the depth.  The beautiful glitters float through this base and a few have a bit of holographic-ness (that's a word, right?) to them!

Sabrina's description:  Inspired by one of my favorite albums/songs, Bloody Kisses is made of a sinister black jelly base with an array of blood colored glitter.

Close up!!

Next, we have Sanitation Twins.

I'm ready for summer, and we've been having warm weather here!!!  So I went for a bold orange for this base!  This is two coats of OPI A Good Mandarin is Hard to Find.  SO glossy!

I then layered 1 coat of Sanitation Twins along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

What a fun fun mix of glitters!! There is a bunch of colors along with a gorgeous shimmer!  Also, lots of different sizes of hexes and some bar glitters!

LOVE Sabrina's description:  We're here to tell you all about the new recycling bins! Cardboard & newspaper, blue! Plastic & aluminum, black! Yard waste, YELLER! Coffee cup sleeves, orange! Stir sticks, brown! Cups, periwinkle! Lids, fuchsia! Lipstick lids, rose! Broken umbrellas & broken hearts, canary! Lotion, chartreuse! Lotion bottles, green! Fingernails & eggshells, cobalt!

Close up!!

Last, but certainly not least, here is She's In Parties!

This is one coat by itself.  I love the simple look that reminds me of balloons!!  A top coat would smooth this a little, but since I was adding another coat, I left it. ;-)

Close up!  This would look awesome layered I bet!!  It would make any mani look like a party!

I added a second coat of She's In Parties along with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Does anyone else think this reminds them up the movie UP?  Maybe it's because @Madamluck on Instagram recently did an UP mani, but these look like the balloons! Right?

Sabrina's description:  It'll be in the can once you try on She's In Parties! It'll be a graveyard scene with this gorgeous combination of a glitter explosion in a creamy shimmery base.

LOVE it!  Close up!

I hope you enjoyed this look at Black Cat Lacquer!  I hope to swatch the others I got during the sale soon!
