Pub Watch

Honestly he is working

This week Abc is bought to you by the letter P

Now, to be serious for once, "Pub Watch" is an island wide project that keeps an eye on the drinkers who frequent the pubs, one of which is yes, me. So far, the wearing of cowboy, witch and pirate hats is not an offence ( not sure about the coppers hat I wore mind) and enjoying your Jack Daniels and causing minor havoc with broomsticks for Halloween seems to be considered reasonable drunken behaviour. If I had hit someone with the broomstick for example, considered an act of drunken violence, then I would have not only been arrested, charged with an offence, sentenced or fined, but ultimately banned from the pub. Not just the pub in question but all pubs... "island wide", all pubs on the island. That is in essence what Pub Watch is, well the lighthearted version of it. So the Police, (not the group) frequenting the joint are a regular sight and anti social behaviour won't be tolerated. Also, I do wish they would apply the same rules and regulations to people murdering Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell at Karaoke." Personally I really think there should be a town bylaw against it!

So, do you have any scheme like this your way. Also for more P's of the world see here

Allo, Allo, Allo, what have we here then?

An arresting sight for the letter A

Evening all.

What have we here then Sonny Jim? The laughing Policeman perhaps? All rights reserved image? The Old Bill (nah, that's the one you get for the use of the image) or maybe it's just a bloke doing his job. Stop thief! The Police are back from walking on the moon and keeping the (not so mean) streets of the Isle of Man clean. Hey let's be careful out there and do it to them before they do it you. Allo, Allo, Allo is a lovely quaint term of endearment for the boys in blue, best said of course with a Cockney accent. No, no no, not Dick Van Dyke allllllwight Mare -wree Poppppinnns way, more your Pearly Queen me and my gal, doing the Lambeth Walk(Oi!) underneath the arches Flanders & Swan way. Clear as mud eh? It's just a copper doing his job. Believe me don't nick him all you'll be the one doing time.

As you can see humour has been restored to the blog. For more A's around the world clickety click this word here.

By the way did you notice our Policeman have white helmets. Aren't you jealous. We just have to be different don't we.

400TH POST - POLICEMAN FRAMED AT BLUES FESTIVAL SEE RED

Police call in Red Cross to help catchAlign Center the phantom Ramsey Daily Photo Blogger. Last seen in Laxey. Armed and Dangerous do not approach for fear of being captured by her death ray lens.

4OOTH Post

Can you really be arrested for this image? Read on.

Well if I was in the UK I could be arrested for capturing this image, snapping coppers/bobbies/Police on the job. As I live in a lawless society(Ok not really but the Isle Of Man does have it's own rules, regs, Government etc I should be OK. Actually may well be carted off to the Police Station for this arresting site on the grounds of..... no can't tell you. If they haven't worked it out yet I'm not exactly going to signpost it am I. In case you think this some kind of fancy dress party (?) as the policeman is wearing a white hat and not the usual dark hat associated with British Bobbies I'll just kick that theory in to touch.

It's been a blast daily posting(not always daily) and I hope to continue. Hopefully this image will be seen for what it is a photo of a working Policeman greeting the Red Cross .. Nothing more nothing less. Just a visually pleasing blending of colours, occupations, street life, not a threat to crown and country. Want to know what the new UK laws state see link below.

Who said you can't have humour with this serious subject. The non laughing Policeman perhaps.
