The Exposed - Mrs. B Is Screaming At The Dog Again

New Jersey punk rock from around 1985 or 86, i can't remember exactly, or exactly where these guys were from. I'm thinking Toms River or Brick Town but i can't be sure. I also can't remember who they were but I think one of the guys was Yosi Levin who is now a pretty successful children's musician and who i can remember going to a least a few shows with back in the day. If anyone has any more info on The Exposed please feel free to leave it in the comments!

Slag - Demo (1985?)

Slag were hardcore punk from Coral Springs Florida from the mid/late 80's. This is a pretty rare little demo and i only have it because the drummer Timmy (Gitlan) Scheoleber is one of my best friends on this planet, and we have been for over 30 years. Back in the early 80's we started our first bands together and jammed in Timmy's garage. We sucked. But we were kids. Timmy was only 12 at the time, i think i was 14. We went by various lame names such as "The Mud Shuttle Band" & "The Never You Mind Band" & later when we thought we were metal "Destroyer". We would steal crap liquor from my Grand Ma's house and go get drunk and play. Anyway, not too soon after we started our Rock N' Roll careers together in the Garbage state of New Jersey, Timmy moved away to Florida. But we stayed in touch and wrote each other via real snail mail.

Fast forward a few years later and i started my own Hardcore band called Social Decay here in NJ and Timmy was in a Hardcore punk band called Slag in Florida. We traded tapes. And here is it some 27 or so years later. I'm pretty sure this was 1985. No later than 1986 and no earlier than 1984... The tape starts out a bit wobbly but hey, this this has been around for longer than most people reading this....

Timmy tells me stories of being completely fucked up on acid and crack and a lot of drinking w/ these miscreants. Punk rock life. The band consisted of Genny Slag on Vocals. Way Cool Jr. Larry on guitar. Black Troy on Bass & Timmy on drums. They played around the Coral Springs area and played with Florida bands like The Belching Penguins & Nuclear Beer and opened for big band s like The Dead Kennedy's, GBH & BGK.

Timmy and I are still friends and we have been jamming ever since he moved back to NJ in the early 90's... Even playing in a band called "Godspeed" that did some cool things like opening for Black Sabbath & Dio on tours in 1994.

I wish i had some more pics but it doesn't seem like any more exist from this time. Bummer. Just this little one you can hardley see....

If anyone is searching for Slag and finds this and has anymore info PLEASE drop it!

I will update with more info as/if i get it!

The Corpse - Demo

I just pulled this out of moth balls. The cover and track list are long since gone so i have no idea what the song titles are. I thought i had a sheet pf paper with them on it but can't find it anywhere. I traded tapes with some one for this. I think it was a band member but it had to be around 1986 or so so i can not remember much about. I know ther are from overseas somewhere, Poland? Germany? Fuck if i can remember.... It is some cool ripping thrasy style hardcore. The sound quality isn't the greatest (pretty sure its live to a boom box) but they get the point across with some slicing riffs and twisted vox. If anyone has any information about this group please leave some comments.

Also, there are six songs on this tape but i am almost certain that the last song is a different band? it sounds way different than the other 5. with a very early extreme metal vibe ala napalm death or some shit rather than a hardcore vibe. ...

Psycho Sin - Violent New World 1985 Demo

You've all heard of Lo-Fi, well here is some NO-FI. These guys and gal were kings of pissed of, don't give a fuck noise of the highest order! If you weren't there there is no way to fully understand what i am saying! long before industrial bands were in fashion these guys were clanking steel pipes, trashing metal, banging on steel drums, mutilating accordions, and destroying everything in their path! Carl Casanova their lead (singer) was a good friend of mine for years back in the mid 80's and he was way active in the small underground NJHC scene back then, putting on shows at soup kitchens and putting out tape comps and helped out Social Decay a bunch back then. We played a bunch of shows together back then and i probably have about 8 to 10 different Pycho Sins demo's that i hope to get to at some point. I have tons of pics and flyers too, man i need more time to archive all this shit. Not that anyone gives a fucking shit... But here is the Violent New World 1985 Demo. As lo-fi (recorded on boom boxes) and pissed as it gets! I lost the track list to this years ago some some of these titles might be wrong, if you know, tell me so!!!
Also, you MUST get to the end of this demo for the "Filthy Skinhead Comic"
yeah and check this shit out! Psycho Sin myspace!!!!

Lethal Aggression - From The Cunt Of The Fucking Whore Demo 1985

Alright, were back with some more NJ drug core and the Mighty LA!

My history with these guys goes waaaaaaay back. Singer John Saltz and i briefly playing in a trash band called Carnage with some "Spooge" back in maybe 82?... damn were old... anyway while the Hogans kids were straight edge and Social Decay had the Old and Ugly Decay Drunks and Decay Skins, Lethal were drug induced thrash core fueled by pills and Angel Dust. We played with the guys and had a shit ton of fun in the early days until a rift began between Social and LA when their guitar Rob quit and started hanging around the Social crew and then Social Decay bassist Dave went on to play guitar with Lethal...
Pretty silly stuff when I think about it now but back then it was war! Hahaha!

Drummer Kenny Lund went on to play drums in my current band Solace for many years. Bass player George Yeck is unfortunately since dead.

Whatever... I loved this demo then and i still get a kick out of it now dusting it off to download for the few folks that give a fucking rats ass! A minor classic masterpiece "From The Cunt Of The Fucking Whore" is and none to subtle...

I got tons of pics of us and LA from back in the day but I'm way to lazy to scan any but maybe at some point...

here is a live shot of John Satlz and Kenny Lund jamming in my basement. This is probably right before the cops busted up the party and it turned into a full blown riot!

Individual Tracks:
Lethal Aggression - Spooge
Lethal Aggression - Vodda Vodka
Lethal Aggression - Country Pig
Lethal Aggression - Morbid Reality
Lethal Aggression - Anarcheology

Hogans Heroes - Demo

Ok, some more NJHC here with what i believe is the 1st HH demo from around 85/86?

Hogans, Social and Lethal Aggression were the original 3 Hardcore bands from Ocean County, NJ:

These kids were a bit different than the dirty Social Decay crew. These were straight edge skater kids who by all appearances seemed a bit "better off" then us scum bags. But this demo is pretty cool and a nice piece of NJHC history. I guess in the "straight edge" world they went on to be pretty popular but after this demo i lost interest, i was to busy getting drunk to give a shit...

2nd singer Skip sang briefly with S.D. then talked shit about us... whatever. And George (git) used to walk 10 miles to my house sometimes to try and fuck my sister... I don't think he ever did... George and I still are friends and even jammed a bit for a while a few years ago.

You can get more info from the Hogans Heroes Myspace Page:

Folder:

Social Decay - NJHC Demo 1985

Ok, here’s the 1st post on this here blog and this may be a little self-serving but hey, this is my blog. See this 1st band was my band, I played guitar in this band from day one until the end with a bunch of knuckle heads thrown in between.

This demo is total DIY. Hand drawn covers that I photo copied the covers at the local library for a nickel a piece and send these out to various fanzines across the country and the world in a day and age LONG before the internet. I can’t tell you how many hours I spent putting these things together and how many dollars I spent mailing these things out.

This was our second demo. The first being releases in 1984.

I have only one beat up copy of this demo left and I figure I should put it up before that tape goes the way of the dinosaurs and this shit is lost forever…. Who knows how many of these exist in the world anymore as demos were kind of throw away items back in the day. Lots of people would just tape over them or throw them out or whatever….

This tape consists of me (Tommy) on Guitar.
Steve Omert – Bass
Chris Marzulli – Drums
Dave Johnson – Vocals (RIP)

We were all still teenagers at the time.

I’ve also included 2 tracks that were never sent out from the same session….

Anyway, Social Decay was a New Jersey Punk - Hardcore band that started in 1983 and lasted until around 1990. We played lots of cool shows with a lot of cool bands (Agnostic Front, GBH, The Accused, AOD, Mental Abuse, Breakdown, Underdog, School of Violence, Rest in Pieces, Lethal Aggression, The Pychos, and many many more) and had a hell of a good time but never really progressed beyond our little scene. We did manage to finally release a 7inch in 1990 and soon after broke up until we played 1 show a few years ago for the 1st time in 15 years or some shit.

I’d like to also take this time and say that our one time and long time drummer Eddie (Boppo) Ramos (RIP) is loved & missed by many!

I could go one & on here but whatever, I hope some old school heads will enjoy these long lost NJHC tracks!

PS - Don't send hate mail to the addy on the demo cover, it's long since gone....

Edit: 1/28/11 - reloaded all files w/ better sound as divshare dumped them all! Enjoy!
