Garden Summer

Happy Friday!

Hope you all have a great day today and a fabulous weekend! Today is new challenge day over at Just Magnolia and Stamp Something. Both challenges are really fun and I think you could even combine them if you like!

First I have my JM card and our challenge this week is the theme of Garden. Please remember to use a Magnolia image on your project to qualify for the prize which this week has been donated by Wild Orchid Crafts! Some ideas for the garden theme would be embellishing with flowers, using garden/in the garden images, floral papers, etc.

For my card I used some floral papers, an outdoor combination of images, and lots of flower accents. These flowers can all be purchased at Wild Orchid Crafts. My Tilda image was colored with Copics and then sat on the swing. I've used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for my card layout and the papers are K and Company with Magnolia Fairytale Collection papers. I've embellished with swirls of rhinestones, sticky pearls, flowers, and ribbon. I've also used the sewing machine to add some stitching details and the lace border punch for the trim accent.

This card also fits at:
Our Creative Corner: Gotcha Cornered
Magnolia Down Under: Swirly Swirls
Allsorts: Lace and/or buttons

Next is my card for Stamp Something. This week our challenge is Something for Summer. You can interpret this challenge in your own way. Use images that are summery, summery papers, inspired by summer project, etc. Our sponsor this week is La La Land Crafts. They gave each of our DT some images to work with too!

I've gone with a beachy summer theme and used this sweet Beach Rosie image from La La Land. I've colored with Copics and framed with Nesties. I also added a pearl to the oyster in the image. I've used some Wild Asparagus papers and embossed with the swirls and swiss dots CB folders. I've embellished with sea themed brads and some hemp twine. Then added a sentiment and a clip to hold it on. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

This card also fits at:
La La Land: embossing
Spoon Full of Sugar: Sunshine

Thanks for dropping on by today. Before you go...I have a bit of blog candy for you. I've decided to give away this sweet Beach Rosie stamp to one lucky winner. Stamp Something and Just Magnolia

Happy Friday All!

Today is a new challenge over at Stamp Something as well as the start of our month long birthday celebration! Stamp Something is celebrating our 100th challenge this week and then this month the blog is turning 2 years old! We have lots of fun things planned including a blog hop and special prizes all month too! We hope you'll join in the fun and stamp something with us!

Our challenge theme this week is birthday somethings. You can create anything birthday related but please make sure it's something NEW, no back linking. Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy and the winner of the challenge will get to choose a new stamp from the Get Well Collection.

I've used the sketch from the Whiff of Joy challenge this week and some new SEI papers on my card. I've stitched the edges on the sewing machine. The image was colored with Copics and then framed with oval nesties. I've embellished with gardenias and roses, some ribbons, and sticky pearls.

Next, I have my Just Magnolia card to share with you. This week's challenge is a fun one! We're calling it "It Takes Two," because we'd like to see you use 2 Magnolia images on your creation, not including sentiments/text stamps. Have fun with this, the possibilities are endless! This challenge is also our special monthly challenge which means it's being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!

I've used two of the new fairytale images on my card. Midsummer Tilda and the Prince Phillip frog. The layout is from the challenge at Magnolia Down Under and I've used some Wild Asparagus papers. The edges have been distressed and then I added some Stickles. I've embellished with a swirl of pearls, a gardenia, and some aster flowers and more Stickles.

Thanks for dropping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. And Happy Mother's Day to all those who will be celebrating this Sunday!

Two More Sneak Peeks - Emma Swinging and A Sentiment

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

I hope you're having a great day! I have to keep this post quick as my to do list is a mile long today! Hope you have a great day with fun things planned!

I have two sneak peeks for you today, remember these images will be available to purchase tomorrow in the Whimsy Stamps shop! First, is my card using the new digital image Emma Swinging from Whimsy's Digital Stamps. My daughter's favorite thing to do this time of year is swing, so my hubby created this stamp in honor of that!

I've gone with a purple and green color comb and used some Wild Asparagus papers. The sketch is from the challenge at Friday Sketchers. And I've embellished with Prima flowers and Cherry Blossoms, which you can purchase at Whimsy Stamps.

Next I have a card using only a sentiment, no image stamps. This sentiment is from the new Flowers Bloom set from the Raindrop Echo Designs digital collection at Whimsy Stamps. I created this card using only scraps too, pretty proud of my recycling there!

I've printed the sentiment and colored the rose detail and then framed with the rectangles Nestabilities. The papers are Wild Asparagus and I've stitched the edges. I embellished simply with some Stickles and a few roses.

This card fits the challenge at:
Sentimental Sundays: For That Someone Special

Have a great afternoon! See you tomorrow for the Whimsy Stamps new release party!

Whimsy Sneak Peek - Gracie's Roses

Happy Monday All!

I can't believe another weekend is already over, it went too quickly as always. The weather was really nice, actually some what hot too! And today it's very humid and uncomfortable. I tried to get some stamping done, but it's just too sticky to do much for long. Hope you're having a good day!

I did manage to put together a card and it's using a brand new digital image from Crissy's Digi's at Whimsy Stamps. This new image will be available on Wednesday the 5th!

I couldn't resist having my first sneak peek be a card using this adorable and super sweet image. This is Gracie's Roses, isn't she beautiful! I've colored her in pinks with Copics and then used some new Wild Asparagus papers with SU! card stock in vanilla and blush. The edges were stitched on the sewing machine. The sketch is from this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. And I finished this card with some gardenias and roses.

This card also fits the challenges at:
Kaboodle Doodles: Celebrate Spring
Totally Gorjuss: In Stitches
Sundays with Crissy: Dots

For the next couple of days the Whimsy Designers will be sharing sneak peeks at all the new digital images set to release on Wednesday the 5th of May. We will also hold a new release party on Wednesday, hope you'll join us then!

Happy Stamping,
