ANYBODY THERE?????

 Well....well....look who's back:)

I have no good reason for dropping off except that one month became two months...and so on....

It's Sunday and I should be working...that is probably why I stopped blogging I guess.  I have 4 renovations going on and Lord...those are a lot of work!  Should be getting to the good parts soon but I feel like I have not had much good interior design to show you....hense maybe I could use that excuse!

I think if you follow me on Instagram that this will be old news!  I am updating a cute lake house here in Georgia up on Lake Oconee.

Very excited about this one....I had 4 bathrooms to up date and quite a few spaces......

Below is the hallway that already has 1/2 paneling up the walls....so I proposed some neutral wallpaper and a pretty blue/green color below.

Right off the hallway is a laundry room.  I suggested wallpaper on the ceiling and then painting the walls and cabinets a little bit darker.....

Walking into the front door there is quite a sizable entry with the same 1/2 wall of paneling....

I am thinking the darker color but painting the window and ceiling trim the pretty light blue/green....

She has this Ballard sofa so that will get re-upholstered with some pretty pillows....

I still have a mud room, bedroom, family room, and basement to pull together!  Now you see why I should be working!

We ordered all the vanities online because we want this to done quickly!

Here is one of the bathrooms....

The vanity is from Kohler, the sconces are from Visual Comfort.

Y'all I hope everyone is getting ready to have a great summer...I will be in the weeds so maybe I can do something fun in the fall :)

Hopefully I can keep this up!

PROJECT UPDATES #THETOWNHOUSE

I've been gone so long....hoping this works and they have not shut my blog down.....:)

I am still trying to catch up from taking 2 months off....

I am making progress at #thetownhouse.....Rose and I have started giving our projects nicknames so when we are discussing them we know which one we mean haha!

Anyway I have been working on this one for about 8 months and the goal was to take it from boring spec to a more custom look!

All light fixtures have been replaced and the last few happened recently...

This one is over the DR table [from Circa Lighting] .....works nicely with the black onyx table that was in the homeowners family.  It helps to soften all of the stone.

I love how whimsical the bedroom fixture is from Arteriors Home .....hopefully the bed will be here soon so I can put this room together!

This little gem was installed in the stairway....
From Circa Lighting.

To be honest I can't remember what I have shown you and what I haven't so hang with me and hopefully I won't repeat myself too much. #oldpeople

I found an amazing vintage rug for the bedroom.  They brought it over for me to see if I liked it and it's a wrap!  Hopefully I will get it installed next week.

Not too long ago I had the sofa installed but I just stuck the old bedroom nightstands in place by the fireplace until I found something.  Well a very productive trip to Scotts and I found a great french hand painted chest for one side.  Then I headed down to Bungalow Classic and found something for the other side!  If you notice I changed out the lampshades to cream.  They already had the beautiful crystal lamps.

I put a small footstool under the console to beef it up a little.  I am sure I will keep changing things up as I go along!

I am in love with this chest and struggled with wanting to keep for myself but it was so perfect in the room I had to be a big girl and let it go!

This cute little vintage footstool had my heart also......

And last I added a pretty pillow.....

The stripe pillows are from Ballard.

Also the question on where the skinny nightstands came from is West Elm!

OK...it's Sunday morning and Cami is lying patiently beside me waiting for her walk.

Stay tuned on Instagram as I have lot's of deliveries this week.....finally the furniture I ordered 9 months ago is arriving!  Whew!

Happy to be chatting with y'all.....

ANOTHER PROJECT UPDATE

Hey guys!  I am out here in Boulder for just a few days....but before I left I did a little styling on a townhouse that I have been working on for a while!

It's a really fun project but of course it is very frustrating trying to get product right now....are you tired of hearing that:)

I still have quite a bit on order but some things have some in so I thought I would share with you.....I mean that is what I am here for right!

Inspiration for everyone...yay!

I think I already shared some of the wallpapers and new lighting but I had the sofa I bought and the 2 chairs I ordered from Charles Stewart delivered on Friday so I could not wait to get over there and do a little work.

So she had the coffee table and of course I had fun styling that baby up!

I picked up the throw over the chair at Ballard Designs and it's so pretty.  It's from the Suzanne Kasler Collection.

I had a lot of art to work with and about 3 days before I had some of the furniture delivered I met my installer and we hung as many pieces as I could find space for!!

You can see boxes in the background so this space was like a little oasis....as they were coming up from Florida for a week!

The tables beside the fireplace were the end tables from their master bedroom that I just put there for place holders until I can find 2 chests.....

I got the rug a West Elm and it's really nice plus 100% wool which makes it easy to clean!

And these dream chairs.....beautiful dark gray velvet that swivel from Charles Stewart Furniture.  I love them!

Again I have not figured out where the tall mirror is going yet.....

Also these linen stripe pillows from Ballard are amazing.....

I brought up the console from downstairs and it fit nicely in this area.....

And I picked up this blanket to add some interest to the back of the sofa since it is what you see when you come up from the bottom level!

So a lot of work left to do but I think it helps to have a sitting area and little pockets of finished spaces.

I guess you can tell that I started this over a week ago and that is because while I was out in Boulder I got some bad news about my sister.  Her cancer has spread and there is no more treatment.

She is home from the hospital and it has been a busy week setting up a bed on the main level and getting hospice.  I am absolutely devastated and of course I am trying to finish up her kitchen and spend as much time with her as I can.  [lucky for me she lives one street over] And work.....and take care of Cami.  To say this is overwhelming is an understatement.

So I am not quitting this little blog and you guys have been so supportive over the last 2 years with all of my personal issues.....

I consider all of you my friends.

Be safe out there in the world.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Well here it is Friday and I think my week skipped Tuesday :)

I knew I was going to have another little fun before and after for ya today so I just wasn't motivated to to a post when I felt like it was going to be a snooze.  I realize many of you take the time to cruise over here and I wanna make sure you get a little bang!

So things are full circle here at Sherry Hart Designs. Now.....my long time clients children are grown and they are calling me to help them with their first apartments!

I can hardly say no and with Hannah I had done her bedroom when she was a little girl:)

So let's take a look at the changes.  First of all I only bought one small piece of furniture.....she already had been living there a few months but it just needed to be pulled together!

Rose and I came to the rescue.....

Here is the bedroom....which as you can see just needed a little help being pulled together.

Just a few accessories.....Target vase.

Before....

After....

She had the art hung and I bought a pillow and throw!

I just pulled a few colors out of the rug.....

Before......

We hung the art for her and just added a few small accessories!

Ta Da....

You can see it did not take much!

Moving into the living area.....

Let's break it down....new pillows, larger lamp shade and just a few accessories.

Pillows came from Crate and Barrel and West Elm

Before.....

After....

Before.....

After.....

And....the kitchen!

We only had about 3 hours to do this and I think we spend 2 hours on these shelves.....haha
Then we totally had to scurry.....

I found the art at Target and then just some greenery....she had everything else so we just shopped her place....

She had bought this shelve from Ballard Designs to serve as a bar area.....when we were there we told her where to hang it.

Honestly I think we only bought the faux plant from Target....the small bowl from HomeGoods.

The art and that's it!

Here are a few shots of the kitchen shelves....

Before.....

After....

We bought the small art and faux plant from Target....the vase from Crate and Barrel and the rug and blue vase from Homegoods.....

The rest was just styling:)

In the foyer I had her Mom make some prints to put in frames from HomeGoods...and we moved the rug that was previously in front of the kitchen sink.

Before....

After.

Before....she really needed a drop station for keys etc.

Everything we found at HG's was too short....but then Rose found this cabinet at Ikea!  The small mirror and lamp came from HG's.

So funny cause I had her Mom pick it up and when she and her husband opened the box they got overwhelmed [welcome to my world]!  They actually  called TaskRabbit to put it together and she said they were great....

 And that's it!

Getting the sweetest text from her that evening made it all worth it!  I have to say that the main reason I am in design is that I love when people are happy with their spaces.....it's the best.

Have a great weekend y'all....

Shayreturningallweekend:)
